Go to 4-1. The skeletons in that area a tough and will probably destroy you the first couple of times, but you'll get their attack pattern down. You'll want a decent shield and preferably a blunt weapon. In this area, you can get the Crescent Falchion +1, which is a nice early-game weapon (no need to fight the guy who guards it -- just run by him, grab the sword, and keep running until he quits chasing you). If you can clear this level, you'll open up 4-2, which has arguably the best soul-farming spot in the game for low- and mid-level characters.'fasteddie_21 said:Finally got around to playing Demon's Souls this weekend. If you're easy to anger, avoid this game, heh. I just finally got thru 1-1 then got roasted by the Dragon, in what I assume is 1-2. Frustrating, but really fun. Started as a Wanderer, but decided to roll a Hunter and enjoying the bow much more.Anyone have any good hints/tips for a noob in DS? I've already checked out the wiki pages and such, but I'm definitely up for other help, esp. on what order to do this game in![]()

This is basically Demon's Souls 2.0. so if you liked the first, you're going to like the second. The way the various areas of the game link together is pretty awesome. I wasn't sure that not having a "Nexus" would work, but they did a really good job creating a big world while still providing enough shortcuts that it isn't laborious to travel around.
I suppose I just wait for them to be taken, or do you suppose they might just stay there?
