Video games...what ya playing? And what are you looking forward to? (3 Viewers)

I agree. For $11.61 for the game and all expansions, it's a steal. However, don't plan on doing it quickly at work or something. It took me over 30 minutes to get them all added to the cart, register and pay.

The new Deus Ex available for download at just over $10.

Link
Plan on spending about 20 minutes trying to get it and the download packs into your cart. Site is horribly slow
 Playing it on the PS3 and I do like it. I was finally able to figure out the first boss battle. I'm getting the hang of it now.
Not the game. The site offering the download
I wasn't clear what I meant - I just meant that I think it's worth the effort.
Their site is sloooooowww. In the time it took me to reset my password and get back to checking out, the price rose to $17. I'm out.

Direct Amazon link

Just say download later, log in to your My Games page, get your Key and activate on Steam. BAM!

ETA if you buy from Amazon, you also get a $5 credit towards a future game purchase. So $5 for Deus Ex : HR - NICE!

Got Rage from Santa.

It is ok not great. It has more racing/combat car driving that I liked. It seems like a cross between Borderlands and Fallout. I am only about 2 hours in, but some of the tasks seem repetitive like going to the same lair enemy three times so far. Graphics are outstanding but the story line seems a bit thin, and I really do not like the racing aspect of the game.

What's a good/fun racing game for the xbox that has split screen? My g/f likes racing games so I thought that might be a fun thing to do.

I have more games than I know what to do with.

Still playing Skyrim and probably will for the foreseeable future.

Also standing by for the PS3, I have:

Demon's Souls

Assasin's Creed 2

Metal Gear Solid 4

Fight Night Champion

Saints Row 2

Saints Row 3

For my newly built gaming rig, I've got:

Deux Ex 2 (with every add on)

Mass Effect 2 (partially played)

Mafia 1

Mafia 2

Aliens Vs Predator

Witcher

Brink

Metro 2033

Just Cause 2

Fable Franchise

I don't even know where to start. I'll probably never play 2/3 of these.

I was going to get it but still haven't played Brotherhood yet.

Just wrapped up Mass Effect 2. Big fan of this series. Currently playing the campaign mode in Medal of Honor. This will be relatively short. Need to line up something after this. Might go back to Fallout 3 or pick up an RPG like Tales of Vesperia. Or maybe I will play Brotherhood.

Has anyone played Magnacarta 2? Any good?

Christmas loot:

Goldeneye Reloaded (Like it so far)

WWE 12 (Looking forward to playing it with my 9yr old YEEHAW!)

Tiger Woods The Masters

Looking forward to doing nothing but gaming this New Year's 4-day weekend. Oh, and buy your woman a Kindle Fire. No need for them to complain about video games when they are too busy putzing on that.

I got Skyrim, Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, and Dark Souls for Christmas and am looking forward to Diablo III, Mass Effect 3, and Borderlands 2. Way to much game and not enough time since I want to play more Gears of War 3 and Battlefield 3. Not to mentions Dead Space 1 & 2, Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition and a few other games on the backlist. :excited:

My 7 and 5 yr old are co-opting on Skylander. Looks like a pretty cool little game.
Very fun game for me and my 5 yr old. If a level gets too difficult for him he can just pull his character off the portal until we get to an easier area and then put it back on. Very good voiceoversmand interesting story too. Really enjoying it.

Current rotation:

Skyrim

Batman Arkham City

MLB The Show 2011

NBA 2K11

Madden 12

Fight Night 4

NCAA 12

Games in the que:

Dead Rising 2

Deus Ex Human Revolution

Mass Effect 2

Uncharted 1 and 2

Dragon Age 2

Bioshock 1

Demon Souls

Fallout 3 GOTY Edition

Tiger Woods 2009

Valkyrie Chronicles

God of War 3

GTA IV

Games completed in 2011:

Batman Arkham Asylum

Borderlands

Dead Space

Dead Space 2

Dragon Age Origins

Metal Gear Solid 4

More games than I know what to do with so no more games purchases for 2012 for the exception of:

Aliens Colonial Marines

Got my son Lego Star Wars the complete Saga on Wii. We're loving it and hating it all at the same time. It's just funny and fun enough to keep me looking forward to playing it with him, and he is getting more and more into the whole Star Wars universe so it works. Although the screaming matches we have while playing must drive the wife insane - "No, kiddo, use the force there - ok, now bring R2 over here so that I can use the force on this window - no, we need the dark side there, we will have to come back - yes you can be Darth Maul when we come back - stop turing yourself into a droid or Stormtropper, I can't tell who I am cutting in half with the lightsaber - why the **** is Yoda so slow?!?!?

:wall:

My grandmother in law bought me ARkahm Asylum and Arkham City, so I'm looking forward to playing those two games. I'm also purchasing LA Noire. Has anyone played it? What's it like?

It'll be like watching smeg dry on a cow's eyeball after you play the Batman games.

Help!!!!

Got Xbox for Christmas, and COD with it (actually my sons, but I play all night after he goes to bed)

I jumped into a live game online, and holy ####.....I played like 5 or 6 rounds, and only got 4 or 5 kills. It seems everyone else never misses, and I cant hit anyone.

Any tips to help me from getting my ### blown off every 5 seconds would be good...LOL

Thanks!

Played Assassin's Creed 2 for about a half an hour last night and was ready to throw my controller through the screen.

I don't think I'm cut out for platformers.

If that's the case with AC2, stay very VERY far away from Demon's/Dark Souls. It'll be expensive replacing your TV, dishes, & car, probably. ;)

What didn't you like about it?
It seemed like I would do the exact same thing to jump every time, but half the time I'd either sit there or miss where I was clearly jumping.I had the same frustrations with the first Uncharted.

i remember the same thing when i first played ac2. u get used to it. just hit the action button and start running. ezio starts jumping automatically where required.edit... there is no jump button per se. its more of an action button that you just hold down and run into your jumps off platforms etc.

Hmmm. Maybe that was it. My frustration first came when you had to race your brother to the top of the roof. I'd get up top first, but would just stand there like a doofus trying to get to the next rooftop while he blew by me.

It could be that Assassins Creed and Uncharted both suck, despite the hundreds of reviews that say otherwise. An alternative hypothesis is that your problems could stem from user error.I guess we'll never know.

yeah its not like you hit the jump button as you get to the edge. its more like you hit the action button to start running, hold it down, and hell automatically jump as you run off the platform. it sounds dumb but it makes more sense in the context of the game.

Just picked up Duke Nukem Forever for 99 cents after the $5 credit I got from Amazon when I bought Deus Ex:HR for $9.99 from Amazon.

ETA it has to be worth 99 cents right?

I just finished Mass Effect 2 for PS3, and I have come to the realization that I'm a big fan of space RPG-type games. can anyone recommend something awesome along the same lines?

Played and finished Homefront this weekend. Wow, was that a short single player campaign! Glad that I only paid a couple of bucks.
