Nightstalker kicked ###.Wasn't there a D&D game on Intellivision? Remember my favorite game being one where you got arrows and you'd shoot at bats and stuff and then something would come out really fast at you.
Found on you tube, remember going to my little brother's babysitter and playing this. Was the best at the time, bet the first Zelda took some ideas from this game even. I think there was a doctor/surgery game also that we couldn't play. Remember baseball was good tooWasn't there a D&D game on Intellivision? Remember my favorite game being one where you got arrows and you'd shoot at bats and stuff and then something would come out really fast at you.
Deactivate the bomb in megaton......get your house in megaton....use your fridge and file cabinets to unload valuables and food stuff etc.So how important to this game ate the people with names? I was doing a quest for the chick in megaton who wants to get a letter to her family and on the way to her village I go past little big town or whatever its called.
Supermutants attack me out of nowhere so as I'm dodging and hiding I backed into the entrance for this place and three characters get killed in the ensuing battle. After I stripped then and the dead mutants of their stuff it appears the only living person is the suicidal chick. Never got to talk to any of the others.
Is my story line screwed?
After that I still made it to her town. And now I need to find her brother or not. Question. .. What's the best strategy for putting stuff down when you are too heavy?
Agreed.......Megton is your first home base and you can branch out from there. The Wasteland is vast.....having a few allies early in the game is important. Level up some before you go Road Warrior on people.Bad strategy.Blow megaton up!!!!!!!
You can still get the house by disarming the bomb. The sheriffs kid will give you the key to the house after you do the job on the bomb.Yeah I forgot to add. I got the sheriff killed and I tried to kill the guy that did it but I missed and he disappeared. Maybe I should restart...... darn
Just an FYI: KOTOR is now $3.99 (down from $9.99) on iOS. Here's the iTunes LINK.FWIW, I thought KOTOR was fantastic... the best game I can recall from the original X-Box generation.
Another Intellivision kid here. Their football game was ahead of it's time.Insein said:Intellivision. Classics like Nightstalker, Snafu and Fish Fish.NewlyRetired said:The dig for the legendary Atari games in the New Mexico desert got me thinking about what my first introduction to home gaming was.

Or watch it on youtube. Its a complete dump to your karma if you dont want to be evil. You get a residence whether you blow it up or not. Blowing that city up is a top 10 moment in this generation of gaming.
At least blow it up and then reload a previous save.
everytHing you say is about my sentiments on the game. I played evil my first turn through the game, not sure I want to play good on the next playthrough to see what I missed, will probably sell the game.I am about 3/4 of the wat thru Infamous Second Son and here is my review:
Pros
1. The graphics are simply amazing. Im not usually a guy who plays a game just for graphics but Id recommend getting this game eventually JUST for the graphics. Theyre that good.
2. His powers are really cool. He has 3 main powers that you get throughout the game and they each have different abilities.
3. The main missions are fun! Enough diversity to keep you interested.
4. The game is action packed! This game is also much more difficult than the first two. They took away the cover mechanism so basically you get into these firefights with multiple enemies. They are high intensity, fast paced, firefights where you continually blow #### up and have to keep on the move. Great job. Ive also died a ton!
Cons
1. Side missions are so dumb, boring, repetitive and short.
2. Ive heard the game takes about 10 hours complete. Im actually fine with that since MLB The Shows is coming out next week!
3. Story is meh

Honestly, I will never get how someone who owned a 2600 can say that game was that bad. I can understand someone looking back at the game and seeing the flaws in hindsight, and apparently so many people have played the game without ever reading the f'n manual to understand what you were doing. It's the "cool" thing to look back at E.T. and think "what a piece of garbage!" But, it just wasn't THAT bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9BdV6WmGQcLike a bunch of people my age, I started off with the Atari 2600. Adventure, Chopper Command, River Raid, Yar's Revenge, Asteroids, Space Invaders, Raiders of the Lost Ark, etc. I owned both the 2600 version of Pac-Man (an abomination) and ET (there's no word in the English language that properly captures how crappy this game was). Pretty sure that's why I'm so jaded and cynical today.
Well yea. But if you didnt want your character to be evil, just watch youtube instead of spending hours setting that up in game.If you blow up Megaton you are evil.Or watch it on youtube. Never had 2600 but it is a lot of group think that has jumped on to the ETs bad bandwagon. There was a lot of garbage for the 2600. I dont consider ET the worst on the system either.Honestly, I will never get how someone who owned a 2600 can say that game was that bad. I owned a 2600 in the late 70's, and I can honestly say that almost everything on it was "garbage" compared to the arcade, which is kind of a big comparison point. If you owned a 2600, then you were almost certainly an arcade kid too, and it wasn't remotely close, even for the good 2600 games. I don't see how anyone from that time can say different. The allure of the 2600 was playing at home, playing head to head games (tank, baseball, etc), and being able to play many types of games. But even then, we still knew it was junk.Honestly, I will never get how someone who owned a 2600 can say that game was that bad. I can understand someone looking back at the game and seeing the flaws in hindsight, and apparently so many people have played the game without ever reading the f'n manual to understand what you were doing. There were hundreds of worse games out for the 2600 and have been much worse since - and that's the biggest reason for the crash and why Nintendo put the "seal of approval" into place. Also, we accepted the abomination of the 2600 version of Pac-Man because that was the closest we were gonna come to having it in our homes (for the time). It was either that or pouring salt on snails.
I'm not saying the game was a great game. I wouldn't put it in a top 10 games list for the system. But it wouldn't fall into a bottom 10 games for the system either.
Yep, I got a platinum on it. The expert play through was not significantly harder. Some of the trophies were a little challenging. Doing the paper trail DLC and it is kinda frustrating.I am about 3/4 of the wat thru Infamous Second Son and here is my review:

It absolutely was that bad. I haven't played the game in over 20 years. I bet I can still beat the game in less than 5 minutes. Nothing random about it. My biggest complaint about the game is that it's too easy and short. But so were most games during that time period.I disagree with the ET defense -- I think it really is as bad as its reputation. Even as a little kid I was able to appreciate how bad that game was. Basically you stumble around for 15 minutes, occasionally succeed in finding random stuff if you can get around the glitches, and then it's over. I know that description also sounds like Adventure and other games of the era, but compare the level designs and you'll see something like the best design possible on the system on one hand and mailing-it-in even by 2600 standards on the other. ET is like the Platonic form of shovel-ware.
Is it the worst game ever made? No, because it's actually playable and doesn't feature anything racist or demented like Custer's Revenge. But in the universe of non-broken AAA games, I absolutely do think it belongs in the discussion of Worst Of All Time.

I know that my opinion is being dismissed here because you think I don't know anything about it, but that's entirely false. I purchased the game the Christmas it released for full price with money I received for Christmas. It's not like I'm looking back and saying the opposite of what people believe. It's been my firm belief that people who didn't like the game were morons that couldn't read a manual and learn to play. I still believe that.It absolutely was that bad.
