I finally installed Skyrim last night and gave it a start. So far it's definitely an elder scrolls game, so feels really familiar. However I can't stand the inventory and shop screens. Usually RPG's have some pretty good inventory management on PC, and it gets a little hacked and difficult on consoles. It feels like they made this one to work well on consoles, and it loses a lot of the features I'm used to on PC. I enjoy the old, "stat" view where you can all the items and their stats on the screen, then you can sort them by different stats depending on what you want to do. Easy to figure out your heaviest gear, or most powerful or what not, by just looking at the screen.

I don't know if I'm missing something, or if I can maybe find a mod that brings back some functionality, but for a game with so much equipment being found/bought, I would think management would be a little better.

Get the SkyUI addon. It will blow your mind.

Thanks, i'll check that out when I get home tonight. I used a bunch of mods on oblivion, was assuming I'd find a couple here too.

Unfortunately I don' think I will be able to do any of the big graphics mods this time, I think my card is getting too old to handle those.

Metro: Last Light getting a solid "meh" from me. I liked the story line starting out. But now, I just seem to be running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I do fairly well against human opponents. But when I am forced outside, or in to mutatnt battles (I always seem to be fighting hordes waiting on a boat to arrive) I feel like I am fighting with a BB gun. I've had to lower the difficulty to Easy a few times to finally pass a mission. Throw in the lack of direction, a compass that runs me in circles, and trying to find filters in the dark, I'm just really not enjoying it. I'm on the mission where I need to make it through the swamp to get to the church. But I don't know if I'll be going any further with this one or not. I rarely drop a game without finishing. But this one may be the exception.

On the bright side, I made my first ebay purchase today, winning Dark Souls II in a bid. Looking forward to it's arrival.

The swamp is a nightmare.

Found out the key to the level. Turned the brightness up on my TV. My screen just seems to dark when I am on the PS3. Once I bumped the brightness, the level opened up in that I could see the myriad of oxygen filters lying around. Made a world of difference.

No. The Halo comparison is much closer but the big difference is that the story side of things will have be more community tilted. From what I've read it will be somewhat like World of Warcraft where you can choose to play through with other people in the area. I haven't played World of Warcraft so I can't really expand on that comparison though.

There will be 3 combat aspects. The main story, pop up community battles and a battle arena. The CoD and Halo multiplayer people will flock to the battle arena and the rest of us.

I've been talking this game up too much. I feel like a salesman. Sorry about that.

It was enough of a difference even if it was still shots and commentary. If they never ####ed up in the first place and just brought the Extended cut right away, it would have been less of a gut punch. It would have been a minor disappointment.

And to me, the real ending is the Citadel DLC. That was the send off I wanted.

The last Madden game for Playstation 2 was Madden 12, released in 2011 -- 5 years after the release of the Playstation 3. FIFA 14 (released last year) was the last game released for the Playstation 2 (so far).

On the flip side, Madden '09 was the last game released on original Xbox -- 3 years after release of Xbox 360.

PS2 had EA sports games on them years after the console switch, even after you couldn't buy the new games in stores you could still get them online.

I have the Back to the Future one, it was on sale, but haven't played it at all. Can't wait to see what they do with Game of Thrones. Hopefully it won't be choppy like this one was at times. Intense.

Don't go into Back to the Future with to high of hopes. It was there first game I believe and the Walking Dead was the first great game they made. Jurassic Park was very rough, but I found Back to the Future to be great. Of course, I'm a huge fan of the movie, so playing the game felt like a new set of movies and I really enjoyed that. It's set up more like a old-school adventure game than The Walking Dead is. You won't find any QTEs in BTTF, at least that I recall.

Also, Telltale had a ton of other games before BTTF. They revived the Sam and Max series as well as Tales from Monkey Island (all outstanding games), and had several other games under their belt too. I think the problem with JP is that they were moving into a more action oriented adventure game such that The Walking Dead turned into, but JP was the first attempt at that formula and the gameplay suffered because of that. The story in JP was ok.

I don't think there were really that many ways to resolve the reaper story line. But they could have given us more about how the specific side stories resolved based upon our decisions throughout the game.

I am not certain but I think I read that you had to do it prior to initiating the final mission but I could be thinking about something else.

ME1/2/3 were top 5 GOAT for me up until the last 10-15 minutes of ME3, so I guess I owe it to myself.

I never played ME until after the extended ending so I can't speak to the outrage people felt, however 10-15 minutes negate the 90-180 hours of game play that preceded it.

And to me, the real ending is the Citadel DLC. That was the send off I wanted.

I know we have had this conversation before but I just couldn't agree more. Citadel may be the best DLC of any game I have ever played. The action was obviously great (toughest boss battle of the series perhaps) but it had so much heart and a terrific sense of humor on top of it.Great stuff.

Yep. That was the last time I teared up playing a game. One of the few times thats ever happened.

Can you go back and do the Citadel DLC after having gone through the craptacular ending?

Yes. Your last save is prior to the beginning the last mission. Just go to the Citadel instead.

I know I'm late and all but I just finished The Walking Dead on my ipad. I've had it for some time and I'm going to jump into the next episode right away but that game was sweet. Great story, hope the second one matches this one.

I have the Back to the Future one, it was on sale, but haven't played it at all. Can't wait to see what they do with Game of Thrones. Hopefully it won't be choppy like this one was at times. Intense.

Don't go into Back to the Future with to high of hopes. It was there first game I believe and the Walking Dead was the first great game they made. I beat Jurassic park which was made after Back to the Future by them, and it was rough at times. I could see the inspiration and effort but they definitely honed their craft through trial and error.

Jurassic Park was very rough, but I found Back to the Future to be great. Of course, I'm a huge fan of the movie, so playing the game felt like a new set of movies and I really enjoyed that. It's set up more like a old-school adventure game than The Walking Dead is. You won't find any QTEs in BTTF, at least that I recall.Also, Telltale had a ton of other games before BTTF. They revived the Sam and Max series as well as Tales from Monkey Island (all outstanding games), and had several other games under their belt too. I think the problem with JP is that they were moving into a more action oriented adventure game such that The Walking Dead turned into, but JP was the first attempt at that formula and the gameplay suffered because of that. The story in JP was ok.

Ah that makes sense. Sounds better than the jurrasic park game they made where they were definately testing out QTEs too much.
