Video games...what ya playing? And what are you looking forward to? (3 Viewers)

Opening up mordor. Was supposed to wait for Christmas but got the all clear :bag:
i think i said this earlier. Not the best game i ever played but certainly among the most fun.
I am enjoying this game alot. I don't know what it says about me, but killing orcs in various manners is incredibly satisfying. The death animations are well done. When you do a vendetta mission for someone on your friend list do they get a notification?

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday getting a new set of tires for my son's car, and The Evil Within was on sale for $30, so I went ahead and picked it up at that price. I've only cleared the first two chapters, but so far so good. Those two chapters took me 1:45 but I'm sure I could get through them in 20-30 minutes if I had to do it over again now that I kind of know what I'm doing.

Also hoping to grab Mordor and maybe Wolfenstein if Amazon has anything that comes close to the Best Buy BF deals. Not worth making a trip to Best Buy just for these.
I think you can order online at BB for those same deals. It should be free shipping over $30.

I'm in a gaming rut. I bought Dragon Age: Inquisition for PC but returned it because I hated the controls. I bought Divinity: Original Sin but it hasn't really captured me.

I was hoping to wait until Mordor came down in price a bit to give that a shot.

How is that possible? Who when what where?

The movement controls for PC are awful imo. I felt like I was moving my character around like a drunken sailor.

I meant how were you able to return a opened video game? I didn't think that was possible in the year of your lord, 2014

Do you not play with a controller?

I bought it digitally through Origin and they have a 24 hour "return" policy.

Anyone else having major issues with control on the PC for this game? I will likely be getting it for PC as I usually prefer RPG controls on there. Interested in hearing more opinions on this.

Some games' controls are built for controllers.

It's the machine that I mock you, not the way you play. ;)

I keep checking walmart.com for the ps4 sale listed earlier in thread ($449 which includes 4 games). Nothing listed yet but they may not list it until Thursday.

Dark souls 2 coming to xboxone/ps4

I'm officially IN
It's scheduled to come out a week after Bloodborne. That's really strange timing.
The DLC does not seem like enough new content to double dip for this for me.
I skipped it the first time around because I had already transitioned to the PS4, and I figured a current-gen release would come later anyway. I'll definitely pick this up at some point, but Bloodborne comes first. By the time I'm ready for Dark Souls 2, it should be around half price or so.

If this had come out a few months ago, I would have bought it on day one. There was a real drought of games on the PS4 for the better part of this year, but now I have a pretty significant backlog building up.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/40635882?www=true&productRedirect=trueAlso you can view the ad on their website
Thanks for the link!

Is there a place on that page that mentions which group of games we can choose from for the additional 2 games we can select? I see NBA2k15 listed but unsure how that fits in.

I noticed this text below in the description. I wonder if this means we won't be getting a hard copy of The Last of US?

"Broadband Internet required to download The Last of Us Remastered using included Download Voucher. Users are responsible for broadband access and usage fees. Additional charges can apply for online content. There may be mandatory in-game updates which users must download to continue playing."

Ok looking at the box, it does appear GTA is a physical disc, but that The Last of US is a download only.

I wonder if the 2 additional games are only downloads as well? If so that lowers the value of this deal since you can't resell those.

The extra games to select from are now listed for the PS4 Walmart Thanksgiving sale. The first group has diablo and Mordor but the second group has nothing I want sadly and I can't confirm if these are physical or digital media.

I may look for a different bundle tomorrow.

For those interested, here are the games you can select from

question...

if this sale starts at 6PM tomorrow, is that Eastern or Pacific? the ad doesn't seem to specify...should we assume it's Eastern?

For those unawares, the steam fall sale just began - called the "exploration sale". Kind of a pain in the ###, they are really trying to jam their new 'smart' system down our throats.

Anyway:

Civilization Beyond Earth is 30% off (34.99)

CS:GO is 50% off (7.49)
Watchdogs is 50% off (29.99)
Civ 5 Complete edition is 75% off (12.49)
Divinity Original Sin is 20% off (31.99)

The off-season sales are hit or miss, but I grabbed Beyond Earth cause it just recently came out, doubt it gets better than 30% off.

I read it (this specific deal) was suppose to be available all day tomorrow. I would check first thing in the morning.

This is an effing joke. You can't even get to the checkout right now. Are the servers running Win Millenium?

"Wow! Traffic's heavy right now.

Give us half a minute to catch up, then refresh this page. Sorry about the delay."

#### it. Been at it for 40 minutes and I feel like I'm in 2002 trying to play Star Wars Galaxies on Launch Day.

Same issue here. And finally 20 minutes ago, it started showing that the XB1 was out of stock. Glad I wasted 2 hours trying.

Steam isn't much better. I downloaded all 2.4 GBs of Civ V overnight, but can't install it now because "Steam's servers are too busy to process the installation."

Steam's servers? #### YOU. I downloaded the ### #### game. Why do I need Steam's servers to ok the installation? What a rip off.

Update: it's now 10am and I still can't play the game I've already bought and downloaded because Steam demands I connect with them to install it.

Playing Watchdogs like an old man who doesn't understand video games. I really suck at driving - usually steering by ricocheting off other cars and things and mowing down people. Wasn't going to play my first game as a homicidal drunk driver but those cops weren't about to let me crawl out of there at 5 mph either. I was supposed to intercept a crime and went to the location. I could hear it going on but looking around 360 I couldn't see anything that looked like an assault and none of the other people seemed to be noticing anything unusual. Nice job old man.

Really digging Mordor. Any other games similar?
its assassins creed with batman combat
ok I'll have to keep Ark ham games in mind. Do there is one side mission with a bow to kill 10 uruks. Everywhere I move it says I'm leaving the area, any ideas.itShadow Under Sieges
yeah check out the green circle on the map. Basically shoot them from afar by shooting barrels or direct hits.

Evil Within ($19), Lego Movie game ($14), Gran Turismo ($7) all in cart at Best Buy.

Shadows of Mordor and Watchdogs are both $24
