For anyone who is thinking of trying Path of Exile for the first time or returning to the game after many years away and need to get familiar with the tons of additions, this series of videos is probably the best starter/refresher you can watch.

Thanks!  I installed PoE a few weeks ago, but haven't started it yet.  I'll watch the vids to see what I'm in for.

The sniping ability of the top players on PUBG is incredible.

I was watching one guy last night on twitch.  I am watching in a 65 inch screen and I can't even see the guys on the screen that he does.  He not only sees them, but he pulls up his scope and gets off a shot on a moving targets that he has to lead with his sniper rifle in an instant and gets completed head shots.   Even with the scope the moving target was microscopic.
Yea, I just tell myself that it's because of age.  I have watched some PUBG videos and noticed the same thing.  Playing CSGO I have a hard time discerning a player from the background and by the time I verify that it is a player I get shot in the head.

If you're buying for your kid as well as you then start with Lego games. They're simple adventure puzzle games and follow all our favorite movies or comics (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Marvel, Batman, etc) pretty faithfully while adding a lot of humor that the adults understand having seen the movies or comics many times. Great simple fun to play with your kid and all are pretty cheap.

For you, there is a new Ghost Recon. Wildlands. Pretty great game. You can get the Master Chief collection for cheap that has Halo 1-4.

You can buy the physical disc still if you want.  However, once you download a game and not have to get up from the couch to change to another one, you won't want physical copies again. There are a couple RPGs available that play like older style games but honestly there are so many games to choose from you'll have to see what piques your interest.

Have fun man.
Thanks man. Signed up for the $5 a month EA pass as well and downloaded Battlefield 4

Splatoon 2 is supposed to be fantastic.
I have it. It's ok. It's solo online play basically. There is a single player but it's more like a tutorial than a campaign. My kid has grinded up to level 16 in the 2 days he's played it. Hasn't gone back since last Saturday though. It gets old pretty fast when you realize there's not a lot to do except turf war.

@TLEF316 @jrt103 you guys wanna pick a certain time tomorrow night or this week to all get on? 9 PM EST?
Yeah, I'd definitely be up to play. 9 would work for me.

Just had by far my best match so far. (hadn't cracked the top 30 before that I dont think) Finished 3rd and had the 2nd to last player dead to rights as the circle was closing in. Unfortunately, a majority of the previous circle was behind me and the other dude snuck up behind me and killed me before i even had a chance to return fire. Man that was intense. I think I had 8 or 9 kills (including 2 very late as everyone was closing in). Spent most  of the match without an assault rifle (Well, I had a SCAR but no ammo for it, as I'd picked it off someone else) so I was rolling with an SMG most of the time.

Man was that awesome.  This game is definitely frustrating when you die a bunch early but its pretty easy to get hooked once you get to the late game.

If you're computer can handle it, thinking about downloading reshade.  Google "Reshade PUBG" for instructions or let me know.  It'll change your game.  It's a post processing graphics program that helps you see everything in the game much better.

Finished Horizon Zero Dawn and it was one hell of a game. Really looking forward to the DLC later this year.

I just started Mad Max......an it is a hell of a lot of fun. Basically the same exact combat as the Batman games, and you build out your car and travel around the wasteland doing missions. Lot's of fun, and if you love the Mad Max universe....you will love this game.

Good point @weebs210

@TLEF316 @jrt103 if u dont use discord, its a must before we play.  You can use the web client.  I'll set up a FBG server for us.

(if you dont know we can voice chat before and after you are killed).

9 PM - weebs and tlef i need your steam IDs as well - or you can add me - search for shawnzo in Richmond, VA

@John Bender added you on steam(my username is Weebs). Have you played the FPP servers yet? It's a totally different game, so much more fun than TPP.
Not yet but I'm still trying to get all the functions down for the game before switching to be honest.

The game is complex and challenging and it sucks playing nothing but solo games which is all I've done.  I want to learn, get it down pat, and then switch over.  Right now I'm still having some trouble with long shooting, spamming picking up items, and recognizing loot before picking it up (ie: this gun goes with this attachment, etc).

This game's learning curve is insane.  One of the hardest games I've played and it's so hard to learn alone.  There's no user's manual and very few comprehensive tutorials out there.  You just have to play and figure it out.  I watch a ton of twitch so the strategy part I have down pretty well, but actually making the functions 2nd nature and learning every contour of the map is a long game.

I feel you on the solo aspect. It was fun when I first got the game but I don't even play anymore unless I have at least a duo partner on..Way more fun with others. Maybe I have some tips you don't know about that I can show you tomorrow.

Really looking forward to CoD WWII coming out, mainly so I can finally put MWIII down for good (hopefully I can do it before then).  I'm 3 levels away from master prestige and its been a grind.  I'm working on the last few gun camo's just to try to get everything done, but at this point it will be impossible.  Getting bloodthirsty's are my biggest issue (and I just can't get headshots with the Haymaker, or first pistol).  I go into a rage evertyime I get 4 in a row and then die, so I probably should just give it up and play with the guns I like most of the time.
