Vikings are discussing what to do about the game this morning and a press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. central.

Indy is my guess.
Possible also. Those are the best options. There really are no other intelligent options.
Indy is probably game day ready since they played Thursday. Ford field would need a quick cleanup. I don't know how long those things take. They did get sun devil ready fast a few years ago for the displaced charger game though.
Indy played in Tennessee Thursday, so I wouldn't see any reason why the field would not be game ready.

Good god. Just man up, ship in the Giants cold weather gear and play it at U Minn Gopher Stadium.

Minn gets the revenues. The stadium is filled with Vikes fans. No one has to travel anymore.

The complaint: "It's too cold."

Sorry, did those tough guy millionaires just say it's too cold? Call in Bud Grant for a pep talk then.

Why not K.C. ???
It's not a dome. It forces Minnesota to travel to where the Giants already are. It's outside and the game needs to be inside since that is the original setup.
I can't see them giving 2 ####s about it being in a dome or not
You can't but the Vikings can. Giants too if they try and put this game outside in Minnesota. If I'm running the Giants I protest any venue but a dome or NY. Watch and learn.

I agree with this. Also, not that it should matter, but there's plenty of time to fly in the Giants' warm weather gear and equipment.

Since when do the Giants claim to be the home team? It's the Vikings' decision. The Giants lost any goodwill they had with the Katrina scheduling fiasco.

Woohoo, can't wait for the game to be outside in the Minnesota winter once again. Look for the Vikes to dig out the old snow gear and I can't wait to see the monster sized sideline gloves make a reappearance.

The NFL is reading my posts. Now mentioning Ford Field as alternative. I am so far ahead of these guys, it's amazing.

FavreCo knows his stuff. Aiello tweeted that they are looking at the University of Minnesota, Ford Field, and Lucas Oil Stadium.

What is the weather like NOW in the area? Namely, if planes can land anywhere near the area they will play the game, if Im the Giants please give me an outdoor setting. Favre hurting, a team that has had a tough season but has had a rebirth with a new coach - a late cold game is something that the Giants should be more used to so long as they can get their cold weather equipment to town. It may hurt the ability for Minn to pass so the Giants can focus on stopping the run. Why would the Giants want to play in a dome if they can get their gear into town?

If the Vikings make the decision, then it could be outside. However, Favre will tell them no. If it's the NFL offices making the decision, it will be in a dome.

Cue Steve Sabol.

BRING BACK THE OLD VIKINGS!!!

Favre in his last stand in the cold weather of Minnesota, upset game vs the Giants, this is why we watch football, come on!

Wouldn't play outside be more of an advantage for the Giants than the Vikings since the Vikings are a dome team? Not sure the Vikings want the game outside.Detroit or Indy makes the most sense

 This is exactly what I was thinking when I heard the roof collapsed and they didn't know where the game was going to be played.

Come on TCF!!!!

Would be GREAT to have a NFL game outdoors in Minnesota for the first time since the 80's!!!!!!!!  :football: :football: :football:

BRING IT!This might be the revival of a great football tradition.

Minnesotans, you may not realize it but this is your chance - Wulf will be using this as an excuse to go L.A. you can be sure and he will do it soon.

In New Orleans we have learned what football can mean to a city; you have some tough minded people in Minny, your football team ought to reflect that.

so who pays the vikings for the lost revenue?
More importantly, who actually attends the game?????
Local freeloaders like when they gave away charger/phins tix in Tempe. They asked for donations and people were dropping sonic coupons in the cash receptacles.
Maybe if they give away free food, the locals will go. It is Detroit, after all.

I'd go. It would be nice to go to Ford Field and not have to watch the Loins.
Has ff ever even hosted a night game?
Closest things was 2 years ago, when they shut the lights out thinking the game was over, then the staff realized the Lions defense was on the field
