About 30 minutes ago I thought I heard on the NFL network that Vince Young made the Pro Bowl team due to injuries to the other AFC QB's. Does anyone have any links or proof that this is true or am I just imagining things.

I think we just have to realize that he is going to hound Vince about every little nit picky thing he can possible think of as long as Vince is in the league. Even things of such stunningly huge importance as playing in the Pro Bowl.
Don't get me wrong, VY had a nice rookie year, but who many AFC QBs are injured?Rivers, Palmer, Peyton, Brady; am I missing 2 injuries?VY probably was #5 on the list.Never mind, just read Rivers injured; Why did Brady withdraw?
Brady's playing in a pro-am golf tourney that same day, he likely either didn't want to get out of it or couldn't.I thought McNair would get in before VY, did Manning withdraw too, leaving?

McNair was next on the list but he knew VY was next after him, so he let VY take it cause they are buddies ro something stupid like that.Manning is rumored not to go because of his thumb.
Ummm...I was looking for a serious response. I think it's quite remarkable that VY can make the Pro Bowl with his passing performance this year...it speaks volumes to the other facets of his game.

McNair went last year (and played horribly). He declined knowing Vince would be next on the list. They are very close and have been for many years. Vince calls McNair "Pops" and considers him a father figure. LHucks, the only other AFC QB's worth mentioning at that point would be Losman and Pennington. Considering that Vince was a rookie, his performance is just as impressive as theirs this year, if not more so. And come on, surely even you can admit that Vince will be more fun to watch than those guys.
I Said in another post I think VY makes it. Not so much based upon stats (not bad) more on hype and how he led his team. Others were thinking JP Losman but I thought VY looked better on the field and led his team better as well. Hype has all to do with probowl nominees, look at Troy Polamalu...terrible season, injured most the time, still makes it? Skill has little to do with it, its a popularity contest IMO.
Off the top of my head I know Vick was at 55% for a pro bowl year. VY was at 51.5% on the season, but steadily improved each month he played (41.7, 48.9, 50.8, 56.0, respectively).
