Vincent Jackson vs NYJ (1 Viewer)

anyone that watched the game would tell you that the performance by Revis was anything BUT shutdown . . .
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He was thrown at 14 times. There were 5 completions and 9 incompletions, 2 of which were intercepted. I think holding a QB to a 37% completion percentage and a QB rating of what I assume must be near zero when he throws at you is pretty good.
i said shutdown, not "pretty good" . . .

Sorry for under-stating my point. If you turn a QB into a worse version of Jamarcus Russell when he throws at you, and you're responsible for more points than the opposing offense, I think you can be classified as shut-down.

VJAX is my WR version of Chris Johnson; he is a true gamebreaker that breaks my game sometimes. You just never know what you're going to get with him.

I think in a week like this, I am more likely to pick WRONG by going with him if I had other flex options but, at the same time, I know I will go with him because while I can see him getting me 7 and somebody else getting me 11, I can also see VJAX getting me 18+. So I roll the dice and try not to overthink it. Even if it is reported that Revis will stick to VJAX, there's always a handful of instances in games where it just does not get lined up that way and for VJAX, he is a threat for a long TD on ANY given play. Add in that Rivers is a smart QB that will almost certainly recognize the lineup and he may take a shot at him when it happens.

Or, it may end up like the Cowboys game where Revis cramped up on a few plays and the Cowboys immediately hit Austin for the TD. You just never know so when in doubt, I dance with the pretty girls I bought :)

I have no doubt that Jackson can put up a good game against Revis, but the problem here might be that Rivers is too smart to force it to Jackson too much just so they can prop up their egos by saying they got numbers against Revis. If Gates comes back and he and other receivers are open all day while Revis is on Jackson, Rivers is a smart enough QB that he will throw it to the open guy all day. And I don't see the Chargers being in catch up mode in this game to where they are throwing it all over the place enabling them to put up "catch up" passing numbers.

Precisely what I've been saying
