Like last week, I'll be doing the bulk of the immediate news updates on my Twitter feed and adding those notes (and others) here quickly thereafter. You can follow my Twitter timeline here at @JeneBramel.
ARIZONA
Daryl Washington is questionable. He didn’t practice all week and isn’t expected to play. Reggie Walker took snaps for Washington late last week, but Stewart Bradley will also be in the mix. Adrian Wilson looked pretty good last week and will continue to start. Richard Marshall remains the nickel corner. He could again see 30-40 snaps against the Redskins.
WASHINGTON
LaRon Landry and Brian Orakpo are questionable. Both were limited in practice all week. Both were described as hopeful, but still uncertain to play. They’re considered GTD, but it’s very unlikely that Landry plays. Reed Doughty will again start in his place.
BALTIMORE
Both Chris Carr and Jimmy Smith are out this week. Cary Williams and Lardarius Webb are expected to start.
TENNESSEE
Chris Hope is doubtful. He will not play; Jordan Babineaux will start in his place. William Hayes is questionable, but also not expected to play. Neither practiced this week. Jason Jones and Derrick Morgan practiced fully and are expected back. Both should see at least 30 snaps in rotation.
CHICAGO
Chris Harris is doubtful and unlikely to play. Brandon Meriweather will likely start at FS, with Major Harris replacing Harris at SS. There is some upside with both against New Orleans.
NEW ORLEANS
Roman Harper is questionable. He was limited Thursday and Friday. There hasn’t been much information about him, so call him a GTD with a slight lean toward playing.
CINCINNATI
Robert Geathers is doubtful and didn’t practice all week. The Bengals will could use Jonathan Fanene on both sides or play Frostee Rucker, but Carlos Dunlap will likely see more rotational time this week.
DENVER
DJ Williams is still out, Wes Woodyard will again play every down at WLB. Joe Mays played in some subpackages last week. Champ Bailey and Elvis Dumervil are questionable. Dumervil did not practice this week and is unlikely to play. Jason Hunter replaced him last week and put up good numbers. Bailey was limited, but not expected to play.
INDIANAPOLIS
Gary Brackett and Ernie Sims are out. Neither are expected back soon. Kavell Conner and Robert Mathis are questionable. Conner practiced fully on Friday. Expect Pat Angerer to play in the middle and likely play every down (though Adrian Moten is a slim possibility), with Phillip Wheeler sliding into play SLB. Mathis was limited on Thursday and didn’t practice on Friday but is expected to play. Tyler Brayton is questionable but practiced fully Thursday and Friday.
DALLAS
Terence Newman and Orlando Scandrick are both out. Michael Jenkins is expected to play.
SAN FRANCISCO
Dashon Goldson is questionable. He was limited all week and is not expected to play. Madieu Williams started for him last week and would again this week.
GREEN BAY
Tramon Williams is questionable. He did not practice this week. He hasn’t been ruled out yet, but isn’t likely to play.
MIAMI
Chris Clemons is questionable. He did not practice this week. Reshad Jones will start.
JACKSONVILLE
Derek Cox and Aaron Kampman are out. The Jaguars used a rotation of Matt Roth, Jeremy Mincey and Austen Lane last week. Clint Session was the odd man out in nickel packages.
KANSAS CITY
Jon McGraw will likely start for Eric Berry. Last week, McGraw played OLB in nickel packages, with Sabby Piscitelli playing coverage with Kendrick Lewis behind. Piscitelli is terrible in coverage, however, so there’s no guarantee that continues this week.
DETROIT
Louis Delmas is questionable. He didn’t practice until Friday and was limited. He’s a GTD, but reports earlier in the week suggested he’d play. There’s not been much locally since, however.
OAKLAND
Mike Mitchell is out. Michael Huff and Richard Seymour are questionable. Neither practiced until Friday, then were limited, but both said they expect to play.
BUFFALO
Terrence McGee is out.
NEW ENGLAND
Gary Guyton is questionable. He was limited in practice all week. Brandon Spikes is off the injury report.
SEATTLE
David Hawthorne is again probable, but fully practiced Thursday and Friday and will start.
PITTSBURGH
Bryant McFadden is questionable. He was limited in practice all week, but may not play. Keenan Lewis and William Gay are both likely to see snaps with the starting group if McFadden is out.
MINNESOTA
EJ Henderson didn’t practice Thursday or Friday and is questionable. He’s a GTD, but cautiously expected to play. Erin Henderson practiced at MLB, with Kenny Onatolu at WLB with EJ out. Erin goes from a risk-reward WLB who won’t play in nickel packages to a high upside every-down MLB if EJ doesn’t go this week.
PHILADELPHIA
Darryl Tapp is out. DRC is questionable, but practiced fully on Friday.
ATLANTA
Jonathan Babineaux is out.
NEW YORK GIANTS
Osi Umenyiora is out. Justin Tuck was limited all week and is questionable. He’s considered a GTD, but it’s generally felt that he’s more likely to start this week than last week. Greg Jones looks locked in at MLB, but won’t play in subpackages.
