Does anyone who is familiar with MFL (My Fantasy League) have any ideas as to the best waiver schedule for the 2012 season?

Shouldn't really be much different since there were Thursday games in the past.My own personal opinion, there should be at least 24 hours after waivers open before they are processed. And they should be processed at least 24 hours before games start Thursday. So that means somewhere between Tuesday night and Wednesday night for processing at a minimum. It is also my opinion leagues should use the option that players can be moved in and out of lineups up until their own game starts, after which they are locked in place. One MFL specific thing. In the Starting Lineups page there is an option "Copy Previous Week's Starters For Franchises Without Lineups". If you use this (and I think it is a good thing to use), you should set it to "As Soon As The Previous Week's Final Results Are Available". The other two options can lead to a loophole depending on some of your other settings.

Thanks for the tips. This is my first MFL commissioner duty. What about FCFS waivers then?
My league that doesn't use blind bidding:Queued waivers start with start of MNF.Waivers end on Wednesday (we're doing evening though I'd have gone with noon if it was my preference).15 minutes after queued up waivers end, FCFS starts.FCFS ends with start of MNF.My league that uses blind bidding:Blind bidding opens with start of MNF.BB Ends Wednesday evening.2nd blind bidding session opens 15 minutes after previous ends Wednesday evening.2nd BB session processed Saturday at noon.FCFS starts 15 minutes after second BB ends.FCFS ends with start of MNF.

I'm needing some help too. The waivers in my old league ran from Tuesday thru Saturday and then 1st come 1st serve til 1 o clock kickoff Sunday then was closed til Tuesday.

Which option would to do that for me. I think I'm confusing myself on which waiver wire option is the best

One of the beauties of MFL is you have the flexibility to set it up however you want. Just go in to either the Waiver Setup Wizard or the Waiver Rules Calendar Setup and enter what type of waiver you want to run, and what date and time you want it to start and stop, and how many weeks you want it to run.In your case it would be Waiver Request from from Tuesday to Saturday... First come first serve from Saturday to Sunday 1 pm. And No Waivers allowed from Sunday to Tuesday (though you probably don't need to actually put this in, doing so makes it show up nice and clear on the calendar for any owners checking your schedule). You'll want to put the specific time rather than use the "kickoff of week X" option since kickoff would be Thursday on most weeks.
