Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion heading into the Week 8 games (1 Viewer)

Would anyone drop Mooney for Jennings/Bateman/Doubs right now in a ten team full ppr? Entire league is sleeping apparently

Romeo Doubs 21%
Hunter Henry 11%
Tua Tagovailoa 7%
Jalen McMillan 5%
Jaylen Wright 2%
Shepard Free

Bateman Wicks Tillman Douglas unclaimed

3-4 for the season. Was feeling good about my QB situation with Mayfield and Richardson (who was the QB I drafted). But now with Godwin done and Evans hurt I don't think Mayfield is quite as steady. Was hoping that Richardson would turn it around at this point but I'm seriously thinking about finally dropping him for Russell Wilson. Tua was picked off waivers ahead of me unfortunately.

  • Detroit DT $7 (2 bids)
  • Tillman $8 (3 bids)
  • Jennings $18 (5 bids)
  • McMillen $30 (4 bids)
  • Baltimore, Otten $5 (congrats, you played yourself & won!)

Probably, but I do worry about JJ's hip
Thanks. I edited my post once I saw Bateman and Doubs are also available. You’d drop Mooney for Jennings over all of them?
I kinda like mooney myself, this is his first time with a good qb, I do think mooney is a better player than Jennings but Jennings may get fed so much it will make up for it. I can't imagine Deebo plays this week, and I wonder if that one couldn't linger I never heard of a guy getting pneumonia midseason but we also don't know Jennings current health, I think its a 50/50 call, I myself might lean mooney but you wouldn't be crazy to roll the dice, especially in 10 teamer

I’m looking at Doubs now. Seems like a better schedule and a better offense potentially. Prob will drop Mooney for Doubs.

I'm worried about fool's gold with McMillan. The opportunity seems to be there, but he's still a rookie and I'm not confident that it won't be WR/TEBC with him, Palmer, Shepard and Otton, with a ton of weekly variability. Plus Evans is probably out through the bye, but he'll presumably be back in a handful of weeks.

That was my thought too. Hamstring needs rest. He should be back by week 12.

Well Jauan Jennings has basically produced every time he's seen 50% snaps over the last 4 years, team gave him $15m ($10M GTD) with void years, he posted a monster breakaway earlier this year, he's likely healthy this week, everyone else is hurting, et al.

But Jalen McMillan is a mystery box, and a mystery box could be anything. A mystery box could be the next Miles Austin.

For sure. Jennings is a seasoned vet which is why I have more faith than a rookie in McMillan who is just getting used to the speed of the game. Rookies definitely grow up a lot quicker than we used to see, but just trying not to get my hopes up with him basically having to shoulder the passing offense after 7 games.

When you guys talk percentage of FAAB, are you taking original budget or remaining? If the latter I don’t know if it’s useful. One guy could have $80 remaining and another $300

I personally always reference the % of the original amount I started with. $100 bucks at the beginning, paid $44 for Jennings, etc.
Agreed. Gotta be percentage u started with so we can gage some type of value

That mystery box could be the next Puka...

Absolutely - worth a shot if you’re not dropping much. Knowing my luck it will be a lot more puke than Puka.

Currently have Jameson Williams on my roster, and TJ Hockenson is on the WW. WR and TE are the same position. Generally my thought was I only want a Top 6 TE in this situation - and last year Hock was a Top 6 TE until he got hurt. Of course Jamo is facing a 2 game suspension, but is debating whether or not to appeal.

Hock is only 10 months since ACL and MCL surgery, and was LP both Tue and Wed, so probably not 100% healthy. Williams started out heavily utilized, but no more than 4 targets in any of his last 4 games.//
