Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion heading into the Week 7 games (1 Viewer)

People are going to be blowing budgets everywhere this week. It will be a wire to remember. Mark it. I'm going to need to behave myself and not go overboard.
Breaking for whom?
Sorry I don't know what the word 'breaking' refers to in this context.
Sorry, b"bowing budgets" for whom?
Bigsby, Tucker, Guerrero, R Davis, Vidal, K Miller, Estime, J Brooks, Allgeier, J Warren, M Lloyd probably more and I haven't looked at other positions yet.

Might be a few leagues with guys like Tracy and Juju still there. I haven't thought too much about WRs but I feel like there are just a ton of RBs this week with varying degrees of viability but I think there are going to be a high volume of bids this week. Everyone needs RBs.

Drake Maye is gonna be a top 12 QB ROS
That’s a bold take.

I know it was his first game, but I didn’t think he looked that sharp. I’ve been wrong before.

you don't have to be sharp if you are a mobile QB with a rushing floor, though

Maye completed 20 of 33 passes for 243 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 41-21 loss to the Texans. He added five rushing attempts for 38 yards and lost a fumble.

3 turnovers in our league = (-6.00) but he still ranked QB with 22.52 in our format for the week

#12 on a PPG basis rn is 18.26

But which one's of these are people really gonna be blowing budgets for? Bigsby or Algeier? Likely gone last week. Tucker, Davis, Guerrero, Warren? Bids but no budget busters. Vidal or Estime? High upside stashes in case of injury. Brooks has more than likely been rostered since the beginning of the season and even then, he's lost value with Hubbard showing out. I see a lot of RBs being picked up on waivers this week but no real budget busters.

WRs the same. JuJu and Downs will garner the highest bids but I don't see any budget busters.

Will probably be the most active week for waivers but I'm just not seeing anything worth blowing a budget on.

I'll be curious to see some winning bids and waiver results tomorrow.

I'm not saying any of them are worthy of a huge huge bid, but at this point in the season I feel that people are going to spend.

I adopted this approach for years and it pays off once in a while. Then it seemed like every year I'm left sitting on a pile of FA bucks that I never spent and it's lost value at that point.

I'm now an owner willing to go hard after a couple players I think will hit vs waiting for the right player at the right price. If going into week 10+ with zero dollars, it is what it is. 1/3 of the dynasty owners are already not working waivers hard at that point.

Ray Davis is staring at me in FA rn in a 12 team league. Do I drop Guerendo for him? How long does an AC joint take to heal (Mason’s)?

Honestly our O will run through Bowers now. Or at least it should.... (Getsy is a moron).

Opps I have no idea who I was trying to quote lol.

Its a coin flip, but I side w/ Ray Davis. There was a quote from Bills HC stating James Cook has a chance to play and they will evaluate later in week. So they both are banged up could miss another week Mason (AC joint) and James Cook(turf toe?). I just side w/ Ray Davis since his performance was really convincing to me personally.

“I think they’ve got a chance,” McDermott said. “We’ll see. Like we normally do, we’ll bring them along slowly through the week, and they’ll get a little bit more practice toward the end of the week there. My hope is that both are ready to go. We’ll just take it one day at a time, though.”

I would take Davis.
Hmm, I have Darnold, Maye and Richardson for some stupid insane reason. I guess A Rich is finally getting dropped by me? His biggest cheerleader? (It’s a 1QB league i know I’m insane).
AR was dropped in my league today for ARod.

Week 7 FAAB 12 team PPR redraft
  • RB Benson 10%
  • WR Means 1%
  • DT KC 7%
  • WR Hopkins 10%
  • DT CHI 5%
  • WR Pierce 5%
  • QB Darnold 29%
  • RB Tucker 13%

redraft anyone dropping Braelon Allen for Goodson/Tucker/Guerrendo?
I dropped him for Vidal. Just taking a chance on NYJ rb usage vs LAC. I feel like Vidal would have more standalone flex value upcoming and contingent upside in case of injury to the RB1. Which i also felt was higher in Dobbins’ case.

Sean Tucker only on 4% of rosters and one of the most picked up Free Agents on the Sleeper App right now
He had a kick *** day but is the volume going to be there at all going forward for him to crack peoples starting lineup? White was RB1 and Bucky looks good. Even if Sean is a promising, I could see all 3 RBs getting touches each game.

That's a tough situation to buy into.

So are guys like Wan'Dale and Douglas but those are the names when we are talking PPR Flex options and Bye fillers for the coming weeks
I agree that Tucker has a bigger obstacle path to being a confirmed starter
But another week of even half the production he produced last week including 1 or 2 chunk plays, he's going to be difficult for the Bucs to sit on the bench

Very tough schedule ahead next 4 weeks leading up to the Bucs Bye week...they are 4-2, they could easily be 5-5 or worse entering that Bye Week

Just grabbed Tua. Every league is different but the options on my wire are Bo Nix, Levis, Jones and leftovers like Brisette, Minshew and Flacco.

If they are saying Tua is coming back eventually, might as well grab him now if your QB has a bye week 10 or later.

Grabbed Sean Tucker. Guess we will see.

Edit - got Tucker for free in my home games; I emptied the clip on him in FFPC and guys finishing in second to me bid 100 - 300 FAAB$.

Tucker just went for 30% and 23%
Goodson 15% and 15% (me) looks like I overbid oh well.
Bub Means 20% and unclaimed
Boutte 10% (again I may have overpaid)

Warren is available in my short-bench league - would anyone ditch Charbonnet for him? Charbs hasn't gotten hardly any usage since Walker came back. I might have to start either one due to injuries/byes. Warren has a good track record, but was injured, then did nothing when he came back last week. Normally, I would rank Warren > Charbs, but this feels very uncertain. I know it's a guess, but anyone have any feelings about one over the other going forward?

Hunter Henry is probably floating around out there in a few leagues. Drake could elevate his standings if he's the real deal. I was surprised to see that he actually has more yardage this year than Kincaide.

Is Jaylen Warren a better pickup than Sean Tucker in a 12 team? I guess it just seems like a boring pickup but I guess it’s the right one right?
