Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion heading into the Week 5 games (10 Viewers)

Keaton Mitchell? How's rehab coming?
Good question (considering Hill's recent performance) ... ready to drop him to create room in my IR spots :pokey:
Hill's performance seems like all the more reason why you'd want to stash a guy like Mitchell IMO. Henry or Hill miss time, Mitchell's value is sky high 🤷‍♂️

I'm not in the know with these two teams, but it seems like Mitchell is a lot further along in his rehab than Brooks.

Wicks (although he's gone in most of mine). Where he's available, I'm bidding. Happy I stashed him in a bunch of leagues at the beginning of this year.
Starting to get cold feet about overbidding for Wicks.

The 13 targets last week can't be ignored, but Watson may be back sooner than later and there are still many mouths to feed in that offense even without Watson in the lineup. Just concerned that Reed will get his and then it's a crapshoot as to how the rest of the passing game pie is divided on a weekly basis. And if Wicks continues to drop passes, that's going to take him out of the equation.
What you have to believe in is that Wicks' ability (always been a good man coverage separator) intermediate and deep, and that he may do enough in the next 2-3 games that Watson is out to put distance in between him and Watson, and maybe eat into Reed/Doubs snap share.
I will let the waivers process and pick up Juju for free
27 years old
Caught 73 balls for 933 yards with the Chiefs in 2022
Spent a dead year at NE in 2023 with Mac Jones at QB and played 11 games so minimal wear/tear
He's been back on the Chiefs this year but under the shadow of Rice breakout
And (shhhhhh) Juju + Rice are exactly the same type of WR. The catch and run. Take the underneath.

Chiefs offense is set. They aren't changing it:
Worthy/Watson - Stretch field boom/bust
Juju - Run after catch/underneath
Kelce - Biggest bump now the bubble wrap comes off
Did Juju get a knee transplant and I missed it? His knees left the game two years ago. He can be a zone beater short but he has no wheels.

No he will not be as physical as Rice. Or breakaway speed like Rice. But before Rice went down and whatever trajectory stats he was on pace for. Let’s say 100 catch 1500 yards 10 TDs. And if Juju is 75% of that: 75 catch 1100 yards 7 TDs. Would you take that for free right now? Assuming KC makes no WR moves.

Someone mentioned the donut vs LAC. But in week3 he did catch the game winning 17 yard TD. So yeah there is some momentum here as the Rice role.

Here's the clip. Hey look the underneath role. Doesn't look slow here.

Who would you rather have ROS - Downs or Wicks?
Doubs is still out there and it remains to be seen that there's a fantasy viable WR outside of Reed on the Packers offense. I love Wicks, but he missed a catchable TD and almost muffed another. When Love needed a first down, he threw to Doubs.

How much FaAB would someone drop for Mostert?

He’s obviously pretty useless now, but could be handy down the stretch if Tua comes back.
Just wait to get him free. Can't imagine most people are willing to bid when he's not useful for probably 3-4 weeks or whenever Tua is back.

I would bet anything that JuJu doesn’t sniff those numbers. Not even close. May move the chains a few times but that’s it. Completely washed

would you rather roster Worthy or Tank Dell? Or Chase Brown. (Or Dowdle) Ten team ppr short bench and I can only hold one. Currently have Dell.

Interesting wire in my league. 1 guy is 0-4, so he may have overpaid for some guys.

Broncos 16%
Freiermuth 15%
Kraft 6%
Sermon 5%
Seahawks 2%
Perine 2%
K Miller 1%
Whittington 1% (me)
Pearsall, Bigsby, Pats D, Vikings D, Cotton all Free.

Worthy
Depends on what your roster composition is. If you're weak at RB, then Brown. If you're weak at WR, I'd rather have Dell. I think Worthy will have a few big plays here and there, but not sure he's going to earn consistent targets even with Rice out of the equation.

Would you drop any of Tee Higgins, Garrett Wilson, Jordan Addison, Jameson Williams, or Dionte Johnson for bids on Tank Dell, Wicks, or McConkey?

25%

I’d probably bump it to 30%-35%

Dude had 13 targets.
I've got a feeling that given the long term nature of the Watson injury, This guy is right behind Mason as the biggest pickup of the year so far.
He has a “mild” high ankle sprain. It’s probably 1-3 weeks. That’s not long term.
Watson's body is made of glass.

What do you all make of Dallas's RB room? Dowdle seems to have a great opportunity in Dallas with old Zeke and practice squad Cooks. But he hasn't run away with anything. He led in carries last week and produced some decent #'s.

Dallas has no threat in the backfield. They will continue to be a passing offense.
Read that they have interest in D. Adams. Not saying they will land him. But obviously they want to keep passing.
Dowdle has taken over as the RB1. Only cause Zeke is completely cooked.
Dowdle won't have many opportunities. He has no breakaway speed. He's not a goaline back. Really a what the heck flex. And they even put in Zeke on passing downs.

If I'm going to own one, it's Dowdle. Nearly 11 touches per game vs ~7 per game for Zeke. I'm not excited to start him, but he's an ok flex play, especially with bye weeks and injuries.

Doubs or D Hop…both are available in a 12 Team Redraft.
Doubs. Led the receivers in snaps. Willis has a shoulder injury. That passing game already wasn't reliable.

Doubs hasn't been good, and I think he'll remain inconsistent. But I'd rather have a piece of GB and Love

He can only improve going forward?

That's the spirit, Chief! Lol

But would it surprise anyone to see 0 and 0 with 3 targets/drops?
