Waiver Wire Gems for week 4..... (1 Viewer)

Leon Washington. I'm not getting that game, but looks like Jets are getting him more involved in the offense. Probably won't get many looks in the red zone though.

Jets homer here. Watching the preseason games, I honestly thought Washington was going to be the guy before the Barlow trade. Barlow is definitely getting the goal line looks, but I suspect Washington will take over for Blaylock's role going forward. He definitely catches better than brick hands barlow. :P

Jennings was dropped after his bad first week, and I was oging to pick him up but I didn't want to lose SD defense on bye this week.

Kitna should be good, I had him originally but dropped for Chad after I realized Kitna and C-Pep have the same bye.

So far, Chris Henry.
Chris Henry should not be on the waibver wire at this point. Although he is on my bench in both of my leagues.Maurice Jones-Drew
I'm sure Henry is on the waiver wire in may leagues. With Housh coming back, and Cinci playing a tough Pitt defense, it is not surprising at all.He had zero catches first week, and a good second week. And now, a good third week. So, it is probably safe to assume he will be picked up in almost all leagues.

I had thought so but now it does seem like Mangini is sticking to some rotating plan. Really dopey, I believe in feeding the hot hand

Bo Scaife. I nearly dropped TE Alex Smith for Scaife this week.Damn!
:goodposting: See TE sleeper thread from early this week. I don't know that he'll ever be consistent or the #1 TE, but he is playing better than Troupe right now.

On the Wire in my league too. Only one game with any points, then facing PIT and Housh coming back--we all expected Chad Johnson and TJ to get the numbers. Now that Henry has apparently replaced CJ, who knows.

Basically any TE the Titans have end up being better than Troupe.

replaced CJ? LOL!

that's what happens when you constantly double- and triple-team a receiver...other teams will have to change coverage to put more on Henry and TJ...that should free Chad up to get more catches (and hopefully more TDs)...they can't cover them all!

Actually, CJ was open but Carson didn't throw his way. I think the Cincy WR are going to be a toss up of who receives the most passes....Henry, TJ and CJ, take your pick

That's a great trio shaping up and Kelly Washington isn't even in the mix.

So is this not a dynasty thread? I assumed it was since the OP used the dynasty icon and mentioned a guy who is probably available in a lot of dynasty leagues.

But then I see guys like Drew, Henry, and Robinson mentioned. These guys are likely owned in 99.9% of all dynasty leagues.

Correct - this is not a dynasty thread. That may be what the OP intended, but that is not the result.

Chris Henry could be a good pickup. He showed some toughness today and I give him credit.

Watching the game today, all I could think about was that NFL Network commercial with Chad Johnson:

"Where ya at....where ya at 85?"

Charlie Frye. He #s for the year are pretty respectable and he's faced two good pass defenses too.

Also, I've been telling anyone who would listen since pre-season that if Henry stays out of jail he's gold (drafted him and started him all three weeks in my deep/good league). Until today I thought he'd beat TJH out for the #2 spot, but now I think it's more likely that CJ, TJH and CH will effectively be 1a, 1b, 1c. Great for Henry owners, but very bad for Johnson's.

With R. Johnson running behind that O-line about all a D can do is pick its poison -- who do you want to get beat by?

Not only is Robinson available in my dynasty league, he's listed as a WR!!! I'd love to see him start as an RB in the NFL and a WR on my roster. I thought it was dumb that Colston was a TE (to my knowlege he hasn't played a down at TE in the NFL), but got overruled. The shoe will be on the other foot then.

N Keading is coming off his bye and was dropped in two of my leagues. Since I only keep 1 kicker on my roster I plan to pick him up and not have to deal with that position the rest of the year. Could be top 5 with that offense. Thought he may be available in other leagues after the bye week as well. Sorry to post about a K.

Bruce Gradkowski, the new starting QB for Tampa.
Whoever his favorite receiver turns out to be! Probably throws to Boston a lot on the second team. If I was Gruden I would start Boston and Galloway. And put Alstott AND Pittman to pick up any body who gets thru the line.

Henry should not be on many waiver wires...he played well against Pitt last year, and Cin had injury ???s all over the board at WR going into this game.

That being said, I heard that his legal situation is being reviewed by the league office, who will hand down a suspension for violations of their personal conduct policy for his multiple arrests...will likely be four weeks max, but something to consider before you build your passing game around a guy who is a #3 WR on a good day.

Just a thought.

EJ is a solid pickup. He was a great TE before the injury bug got a hold of him.

Maybe Maurice Hicks is a decent pickup if you are desperate. I think he will actually be the one getting Gore's touches if he misses any time.

Kevin Faulk might be a nice pickup if you get points per reception, especially if Dillon misses any time.

He's a #1 receiver on a good day. He's dropped 30 points in the last two weeks. His legal mess almost has to result in a suspension, but it might be one game since one of his two convictions is substance-related. If he can beat the rap in the remaining two without pleading guilty (this seems possible) he could skate entirely or end up with a lighter penalty. The NFL has said they're waiting until all four cases are resolved before making a decision.

Coming off from a concussion and bruised shoulder, I think Chad was just an overpaid decoy this week. I wouldn't look too much into this week game for future outlook.
