Wandy Rodriguez - great start, will it last? (1 Viewer)

This is my first year doing this but my understanding is that the guy has teased like this in the past. Could he finally be putting it all together? Bottom line question - should I drop Chris Young for him? Short term he's got two nice starts coming up next week with the Nats and SD.

He has traditionally been a disaster on the road, but so was Ervin Santana before he made a run at the Cy Young last season.

I think Wandy can be good the rest of the year. Not this good, but possibly a top 20 pitcher (from here on out).

I'd rather have Wandy over Chris Young.

I think Young can be great, but he carries alot of risk. Whether it's injury or that he can't prevent a man on 1st from becoming a man on 3rd, he's a hard guy to trust.

If you have room, I'd still try to roster Young though.

His periph's have improved each of the last three years, you can't ignore his home/road splits but I think health has been his greatest obstacle. He was one of about 7 or 8 pitchers I targetted toward the end of drafts/auctions. I think Young will put up better numbers in PETCO than Wandy long term, but I think Young will put up much worse numbers than Wandy away from PETCO. I think Young's much more a product of his home park than Wandy.

If you need 80-100 great IP's keep Young, if you need 150-200 good IP's get Wandy.
