look at the number of reads on the stand alone Warner thread...vs how many in the injury thread got. Not everyone is going to page through the injury thread. Joe has said before a new thread coudl be started for a key injury....I hope you guys get it together.
I don't have any problem with this staying. We'll miss our share for sure and we'll do our best to "get it together". :thumbdown:J

:thumbdown:GB JB.Captbly>hi. If you don't agree with Joe, I would argue that silence is the best solution. YWIA.

If we're going to have a separate thread, it'd help if it were complete. Guess I'll head over the injury thread to find out what happened (since I'm not near a TV to hear about it).

WARNER ALREADY HURT

In his first game as the Cardinals' starting quarterback, Kurt Warner has been injured and is out of the game.

As a result, the two quarterbacks currently playing in the game between Arizona and Carolina were unemployed last week at this time -- Tim Rattay for the Cardinals and Vinny Testaverde for the Panthers.

It's a good thing that no one is paying attention to this game

AZ Coach really stirred the pot and came up Zeroes this year. Warner never should have been seeing action, Leinart probably would not have gotten hurt in hte first place, and now its Tim Rattay time

1. Leinart was dreadful this year and he's been in the league long enough for this to be inexcusable. 2. Warner looked great when he came in. 3. There is zilch for QB talent in free agency. 4. Not sure how Leinart's injury can be blamed on the coach. Dude got hurt because he was in the game. Not sure how the coach is at fault here...

I picked up Trent Green. knocked out. I need a QB, pick up Warner. Knocked out. What a joke.
That's funny...ONLY because it happened the exact same way to me!!! Fortunately I pulled out the win when Trent went down....this week I NEEDED Warner.

Zow, :sarcasm: Jeez, you don't recognize it enough to respond the way you just did???

I understand that a lot of fantasy owners like to explain how their team did and how coaches stink and all, but this thread is about the Warner injury. I didn't see the game and checkied in here to find out what happened. Two pages and no information at all.

Sheesh.

Oct 14 Warner sprained his left elbow in the first quarter against Carolina on Sunday, and the team doesn't know when he might return.

Advice: Warner made his first start in place of Matt Leinart, who is out for the season with a broken collarbone. Warner said he didn't know if he would be available next week, when the Cardinals visit Washington. Tim Rattay, signed last week as Arizona's only backup, replaced Warner. He completed 12-of-24 passes for 159 yards and no touchdowns, and he threw three interceptions.

This is his non-throwing elbow, so he won't miss significant time IMHO.

There's really two possibilities.

1. They bring him back for Week 7 as the starter with some form of protection on his left elbow. He gets through the game and then has 2 weeks off because of the bye.

2. They either play it safer or if they deem that he needs 3 weeks to be ready for Week 9, he is out Week 7.

Rattay starts against Washington - not a great scenario for either QB.

In either scenario I see Warner starting Week 9.

Fortunately for the Cardinals, it'll only take 8 wins to take their division. If Warner can come back in a couple of weeks, they're still in the hunt.
