Ryan O'Halloran, of the Washington Times, reports Washington Redskins LB Warrick Holdman is expected to start at outside linebacker while LB LaVar Arrington continues to get back into game condition.

shouldnt he be in game condition by now ?

They're going to play Lavar as a pass rush specialist on passing downs for the first couple of games to test the knee and allow him to ease back into a full-time role. Keep in mind that he missed almost all of last year and the knee suffered a setback because he tried to come back too soon. They don't want that to happen again.

I wouldn't expect him to start until their third game (week 4; they have a week 3 bye), but rest assured, he WILL start.

Arrington is great, but comes with a lot of risk. Based on the news from above that makes it even more appealing to pickup Lemar Marshall if you haven't done so yet. If he can give you 80% of what Pierce gave last year you have a pretty decent MLB this season.
