'Way Too Early' fantasy football sleepers & busts for 2015 (1 Viewer)

Matt Harmon ‏@MattHarmon_BYB 36m36 minutes ago

Only one Rex Ryan WR (Decker in 2014) has gone over 110 targets in a season. 53.3% of Sammy Watkins' yards came in 4 games last year. Hmm.
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 28m28 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB poor sammy, but yeah, the key to happiness is low expectations
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 21m21 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB i have him at the bottom of "young #1 in meh passing games tier" for redraft - hopkins-arob-benji-Watkins
Matt Harmon ‏@MattHarmon_BYB 19m19 minutes ago

@SigmundBloom I'm with you there, because I am very confident that the other three get littered with targets.
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 11m11 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB i think i prefer martavis bryant to all of them, especially when ADP factored in
Jason Wood ‏@fbgwood 10m10 minutes ago

@SigmundBloom @MattHarmon_BYB I think having Martavis over those four, particularly Hopkins, is borderline crazy.
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 7m7 minutes ago

@fbgwood @MattHarmon_BYB already pretty clear that bryant's " expected value per target" is among highest in NFL - deep/red zone heavy
Matt Harmon‏@MattHarmon_BYB 6m6 minutes ago

@SigmundBloom @fbgwood I really, really like Bryant at his price. Perfectly fine with him as my WR2. Although, I'll take Hopkins over him
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 4m4 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB @fbgwood have to choose bw hopkins and bryant its hard to pull trigger on bryant. but hopkins in 3rd vs bryant in 5th easy
Matt Harmon ‏@MattHarmon_BYB 2m2 minutes ago

@SigmundBloom @fbgwood I'm pretty bullish on Nuk this year, so not totally with you. Could get 170 targets this year. But I get your point

Marcus Mosher ‏@Marcus_Mosher 58s58 seconds ago

@MattHarmon_BYB @SigmundBloom @fbgwood I'm pretty high on Nuk too. But I'm seeing him go ahead of Cobb in MFL10s... That's crazy.
Jason Wood ‏@fbgwood 3m3 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB @SigmundBloom I have him doubling his catches, but YPC/TD rate totally unrepeatable. Low end WR3 for me.
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 1m1 minute ago

@fbgwood @MattHarmon_BYB would hope catches at least double since only played in 10 games last year and will go from 50 to 70-80% of snaps
Nick Whalen ‏@_NickWhalen 3m3 minutes ago

@MattHarmon_BYB @SigmundBloom @fbgwood Bryant was the most efficient rookie wr per catchable target by a mile.
Adam Harstad ‏@AdamHarstad 1m1 minute ago

@SigmundBloom @fbgwood @MattHarmon_BYB Gonna go ahead and side with Jason here. Bryant > Hopkins = crazy. (But you gotta keep doing you.)

I was listening to the Sirius XM fantasy sports channel this morning and they listed Matt Forte and Emmanuel Sanders as two candidates likely to be busts this year.

Coaching & scheme changes were cited (along with an ongoing gradual decline for Manning in Sanders case). Prediction was that Sanders would drop to 80 catches and 1100 yards.

This Hopkins vs Bryant debate is interesting, but we are looking at Mallett/Hoyer no. 1 wr vs Ben no. 2-3 wr? What are we expecting from the offense in Houston?

Also no Bell early could mean an early devotion to airing it out.

Wrote my fantasy football takes on #Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon, WR Allen Robinson, TE Julius Thomas & WR Marqise Lee here http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/55051/59/jaguars-fantasy-preview …
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 33m33 minutes ago

@evansilva Bortles was even worse than I remembered when I went back and watched him. Robinson is a good pick at ADP tho
Sigmund Bloom ‏@SigmundBloom 33m33 minutes ago

@evansilva i dont really see much of a difference between hopkins watkins benjamin and robinson

Rotoworld:

Broncos UDFA WR Jordan Taylor reportedly made a "massive impression" during Organized Team Activities.

6-foot-4 and 209 pounds with 4.52 wheels, Taylor reportedly caught "multiple deep passes" from Zac Dysert and Brock Osweiler at spring practices. Taylor even caught Peyton Manning's eye. "He catches everything around him and he’s gone up and made a couple plays on some deep balls, which have stood out," said Manning. Taylor is buried on the depth chart, but is a name to keep in mind.

Considering where he's being drafted, they don't know the definition of the word Bust.

Well, that really depends on how many TDs are in there. Guys with similar stats to that last year finished as WR11 and WR20, and it was TDs that separated them for the most part.

Very true, and TDs are tough to predict for WRs, however when ranking WRs if you feel comfortable with them getting 80/1100, then you're drafting them as a solid WR2 with WR1 upside.

Yeah, I think "bust" is really the wrong word for Sanders this year. I am seeing his projected decline in production already priced into his ADP. WR13 may be a bit rich, but he's safely in the WR16-18 range. The difference between those isn't much and definitely not worthy of saying "bust".

The value at WR in the fantasy mock drafts were:

Andre Johnson

Calvin Johnson

Alshon Jeffery

Allen Robinson

Charles Johnson

Marvin Jones
Jayson Braddock ‏@JaysonBraddock 29m29 minutes ago

Did a couple of fantasy football mocks today. Seems like the best value at RB was Jeremy Hill.
Jayson Braddock ‏@JaysonBraddock 26m26 minutes ago

Rookie David Johnson will also be a steal in fantasy football drafts.

Not understanding the moderate fuss over David Johnson. I guess I don't follow college football close enough, but isn't he just a handcuff to Ellington?

He's a bigger/faster/stronger Ellington without the injury concerns.
