Week 02 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Probably a coin toss - pick one QB please (1 point 20 yards/ 4 pts TD/ standard rushing)

Stroud
Goff
Mayfield

For context, 8 person league so its power on power. Appreciate all you do!

Very tough call. I've gone back and forth multiple times. Ultimately, I think the buccaneers have the most limited running game and the likeliest possibility of having to throw a lot. So I think I go with Mayfield.

Mayfield>Stroud>Goff

Talked about Fields @ DEN and Goff vs TB above in separate posts but I have to choose between them myself

With 4 pt pass TD and 6 pt rush TD, I think I should switch it up from last week and go Fields>Goff thanks to the Denver defense he torched last year, yes?

A less clear situation, now that we know Love is unlikely to play, and I need to start 2 with PPR for WR and 1.5 PPR for TE:

Isaiah Likely vs LV
Kyle Pitts @ PHI
Jayden Reed vs IND

Realistically it's probably just Pitts vs Reed though, and I'm very torn on that

PPR who do you start at TE

Andrews vs LV
Bowers at BAL
That's tough, I might just cop out and say Bowers if you need floor, Andrews if you need ceiling

Supposedly the main reasons for Andrews' struggles last week were that he was double/triple covered, so there's reason to think he could bounce back big with Likely commanding more attention

No problem with Fields>Gift

Agree that it comes down to Pitts v Reed and I honestly have no firm choice. I think Reed supplements his production with several rushes and trick plays. And Atlanta looked so flat last week, nod to the Pitt D for sure but Cousins has me worried.

I probably go with
Reed>Pitts

but without much confidence.

Interesting. Very tempted to say Bowers because he seems to have a safe floor. I don't see a ton of upside against the Ravens in Baltimore. But still I might go

Bowers>Andrews

Andrews may be more dinged up from his car crash than the Ravens are letting on. They may also get an opportunity to rest him if it's a blowout.

Am I really gonna start Andrews and Likely? Or do I sit one of them and play Jaleel McLaughlin in the flex instead. .5 ppr and .5 per first down.

AJ Brown hammy concerns lead me to the following question:

0.5 PPR with 0.7 for every 10 yds receiving

Robinson or Johnson at Arizona or
Wandale at Washington

OR - start JSN at NE or Thomas at CLE...:ponder:

I wouldn't start any Bronco, except maybe Sutton in PPR, if you're looking for floor and not ceiling l, against that Steelers D.

Have to decide between Likely and Bowers in a TE premium league. Bowers seems safer while Likely has much higher ceiling. Have Bowers in the lineup right now, but have serious FOMO of missing another Likely explosion. Any advice?

Hold your nose and help me pick one TE to start. Full PPR
Conklin v Tenn
Howard v Dallas
Gesicki v Chiefs
Hurst v Car
TIA

Sometimes it is good to go with gut (who you have initially)and Bowers was very good and has less risk to leave you hanging I would start them if you are favored in matchup. I go with likely if you are underdog and need big points.

.5 ppr

I have AJ Brown. Assuming we don’t know if he’s playing by 1:00, would you start McLaurin or wait until Monday night and play Pitts, if Brown sits? Could also play Swift or Javonte Williams in the AJ Brown spot.

Also

Pick 1 of:
Evan Engram vs Browns
Diontae Johnson vs Chargers
Jaxon Smith-Njigba at Patriots

Thanks!

Non-PPR, standard scoring:

Diggs vs - had 6 receptions last week but only 33 yards; 2 TD's won't come every week but Stroud is looking for reliable hands in the end zone.
Godwin vs DET - Probably more volume than Diggs and did score a TD last week of 8 receptions.

Overall, this is really a coinflip as most sites have them ranked basically next to each other.

I'm leaning Diggs probably because of his name and the end zone looks last week.

Thoughts?

Here's a good one:
I have A.J. Brown questionable Monday Night.
Amazingly I have three other players going Monday Night.
So if A.J. turns out inactive.
Which one of these three should I plug in(FFPC scoring):

T.Allgeier
K.Gainwell
D.Mooney

Down big as my opponent had Achane and Cook. He has Lamb (Ferguson too…though no longer a concern).

Currently going with Daniels against the Giants over Prescott vs the Saints D. Think Daniels has a better day plus the hop that NO handles Dallas’ passing offense.

Am I dumb?

Nah. Down that much you're looking for "novas" from multiple somebodies. Daniels' legs probably give him a slightly higher likelihood over Dak in that regard, imo.

Plus, I'd probably rather shoot for that than hoping Dak novas somehow without Lamb being involved. Pretty slim chance of that, prolly.

Having Lamb going against, and if he has a BIG day, nullify's your Dak play....to win, go with Daniels

Terribly weak at RB...

Walker likely out

Who should I start along side Jerome Ford?

Zamir White
Jaleel Mclaughlin

Thank You

Jalen McMillan then in the flex?
Maybe, but I think the Ravens TE position is potentially more valuable.

Tough call, IMO. But I think both Ravens TEs will probably see more opportunities than McMillan.

Ravens TEs>McMillan

I recommended Bowers over Andrews above because he seems to have a high floor.

But I think Likely has a better ceiling by a good margin.

Likely>Bowers

Yes, I wait until Monday.

Probably Engram because you can't trust Carolina and I'm a little more sure of the Jags offense than the Seahawks, but it's close.

Engram>JSN

I won't argue against that.

Although I probably wouldn't argue if your gut called Godwin over Diggs.

Probably Allgeier and hope for a TD.

Not dumb.

But I go with Dak. The Cowboys have a reputation for smashing lesser opponents at home and the Saints are a lesser opponent IMO.

Dak>Daniels
