Week 1 Bragging Thread (1 Viewer)

I have to tell somebody about this all star move.

I was very leary about T. Brady this year and very hight on Brees and Lynch. (in a start 2 QB league)

I ended up trading down, from position in a snake draft, pick #3 (where I was considering Brady and where he ended up being selected) to pick #6, drafted Brees with #6 then picked up Lynch in the second round. (he would have gone before I could take him with my origional 2nd round pick)

I'm pretty happy with myself after the Brady injury and Brees and Lynch's week one output.

I am a dominate force in FF. Did you see my 2 sweet TD's? :lmao:

My favorite thread btw. Easily stomped the guts of my hapless opponent. Next week, Brandon Marshall arrives for another asswhipping. I am without a doubt the greatest coach ever.

I am going to win every one of my 4 leagues, barring some crazy miracles on SNF and MNF

And I have to brag about the fact that I did not get Brady in any of my leagues.... :lmao:

Brees, Turner and Bills defense in my head to head league. Crushed the commis (close friend), to start what could be a repeat of titles for me.

Total points league had Brees, T. Jones, Edge, Moss, Plaxico, DeSean Jackson (Sub for B. Marshall), Bills this week. Set the bar very high for yearly high score. High score of the year gets half the transaction money about $50-$60.

I suggested people not start Steven Jackson and was called an idiot. The mods even closed the thread. I also tabbed Deshean Jackson in the sleeper thread saying he'd get 14 points for the exact reasons he did.

Well...my fantasy teams got off to rockin' starts, but I'm much more giddy about the absolute dominance the Eagles displayed today against the lowly Rams. :hophead:

Drafting McNabb in all 3 of my leagues! In the 5th rd in 2 leagues and the 9th round in the 3rd league!

My starting line-up in a 10 team, PPR, keeper league.

Derek Anderson - really disappointed. might be looking to deal him.

Marion Barber - hope the ribs are okay. but he's a gamer.

Frank Gore - can't ask for more.

Chris Johnson - what a debut.

Jerricho Cotchery - 56 yd. play action baby.

Greg Jennings - still to play

Greg Olsen - didn't do much, but it was against a tough D

TEN Defense - i hope they play like this every week

MY BENCH

Schaub

K. Smith

T. Hightower

D. Williams

C. Perry

DeSean Jackson

Kevin Walter

D. Driver

D. Keller

Leading my league in points and have 1st place locked up already no matter what happens tommorow night. Leaguemates told me I was crazy for starting Chris Johnson. Now who's laughing? I ended up in last place last year in the league. I know it's only week one, but I'm in first, and I owe a lot of it to Footballguys. Props.

Loving my starting RB's this year (10 team league, start 3 RB with a flex)

Marion Barber (he'll play through the ribs ... I hope)

Frank Gore (still shocked that he fell to 16th overall pick)

Willie Parker (I'll take 3TD anytime)

Edgerrin James (fell to 5th Round)

But don't ask about my QB's.

Started Turner ahead of BJacobs as RB2, winning by 46 going into tonite with ADP left to play.

And the biggest smack talker in my league owns Brady. Im not happy Brady is hurt, but I am glad that particular person has him.

Not only did Turner propel my Falcons to a victory, he also helped my team lay some serious wood to last year's league champion.

Turner/McNabb/Cotch and yet to play AD

Scares me to death they all blew up this week because next week none of them will do a thing...

ill brag:

my keepers- All Day, Marshawn

1st round pick- Andre Johnson

2nd round pick- McNabb

3rd round- cotchery

4th round- Brandon marshall

5th round- Vikes D (Yeah dont take D early but I wanted a good one)

6th round- Ricky Williams (OK.. not so good)

7th round- Chris Johnson

9th round- Desean Jackson

waivers before season- LJ Smith

Won with Brandon Marshall, Chris Johnson, Cotchery on my bench

format- 1 qb, 1 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex, 1 te, 1 dst, 1 k

12 teams and we've been playing for 6 years so not rookie league

I started this last game with an 11 point lead in one league and a 23 point lead in another and both opponets had Selvin Young left. I'm just laughing as I see Pittman scoring and ANdre Hall running. Selvin did get to do the player intros though! Shanahan is my best friend right now.

Won by .1 of a point this week in a very high scoring game (119.9 - 119.8). Closest ever win for me. Kinda pumped about that.

I am a dominate force in FF.
Next time, try to be a dominant force.
:football: Most definately jealous of my incredible team.

Andre, Calvin, Marshall, Jennings, L. Robinson and now Eddie Royal. No one can match my ability to judge WR talent.
How does you having those players equate to you being the master wr evaluator?
Because I didn't drink the Charles Rodgers kool-aid. Because I traded Jerry Porter (after his 2004 9 TD season for a 2007 1st rd pick after seeing Calvin Johnson as a freshman). While others selected Santonio Holmes among other 2nd raters, I scouted Brandon Marshall and Greg Jennings, acquiring both in the 2nd round of our dynasty draft. Ditto Robinson. Ditto Royal as others were fumbling over Hardy, Thomas, Kelly, and others like....Avery...what a joke of a pick. I was 1st ( and I believe only current FFLer) to proclaim the bust that is Robert Meachem. Yes, he is. Ted Ginn is a zero and nothing more. Dwayne Jarrett wasn't even on my board...At all. Sidney Rice is a great WR on a team with no QB. I could have had him but needed a TE at that pick. Those are a few examples of my ability to evaluate WRs.

I am virtually unparralled in WR analysis.

in 5 leagues.... the high scoring team in 4 of them.

My best 12 team redraft this week lineup was....

Warner.... Lynch...Turner...FWP... Wayne...Cotchery...Bears D ... Folk....

not a bad start

I have Turner in both of my leagues and had the highest point total in both leagues.

One of the two is a dynasty league where I've burned a roster spot on Turner for years and insisted to my leaguemates that he was going to be great (which they refused to accept). I refused to trade him on the cheap and turned down many lowball offers for him this offseason.

In that league I started Turner over LJ despite the FBG ranking and every other ranking having LJ substantially higher.

In that league I also drafted Eddie Royal.

Had the league's highest score this week. Played the guy who had the second highest score. That's always sweet.

Made two critical late moves. Replaced Garrard with Rivers at QB and replaced S Rice (like I need the initial - you were thinking Jerry?) with Eddie Royal.

WIN!

I'd like to brag about the Broncos. I think they're going to make a statement this week against the Chargers. And by statement, I mean they'll win.

Down by one fantasy point with only one player on each team left to play. Me with Matt Forte and him with Peyton Manning. Staring at the television screen, writing my will for my impending doom, I watched as the improbable Bears run out to the field. What happened in the next brought tears to my eyes. The rookie outscores one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and the bears pulling off a huge upset. Yay for Forte.

You are like a ton of other players out there that see how good players actually are. You also might play with a bunch owners that are not real good at projecting how a player will be in the future.

Knocked for drafting Bush in a staff Survivor league, and had 3rd best points this week. Also have Turner there.

I was totally correct about Felix Jones... and all the doubters were wrong.

I have Jones and Johnson in a few leagues, including my dynasty league, and couldn't be happier.

Squeaked off a WCOFF win with McGahee and Marshall (2 of my top 4 picks) knowingly sitting on the bench. Mr. Chris Johnson and DeShaun to my rescue!!!
