Week 12 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Coming back for seconds- well you know Thanksgiving week

WR worries:

Non ppr standard scoring. Pick 2 of 3:

DJ Moore vs Vikings
Jennings @ GB
Johnston vs BALT

Thankful for this thread. Best of luck today
Don't love any of the options. I would personally go DJ Moore.

Vikings give up the 3rd most FPPG to WR.

Baltimore gives up the most, but I don't have as much trust in QJ. He's SO TD dependent.

DJ has been awful for Fantasy production, but we know what he is. This is a smash matchup for him. I expect him to have a nice day.

I need to pick any two of the following in a 0.5 PPR:

RB Hunt at CAR
RB Conner at SEA
RB Jacobs vs SF

WR Kupp vs PHI
Hunt and Conner.

Hunt: Pacheo still out, Carolina gives up the most FPPG to RB.
Conner: Seattle gives up more FPPG to RB's than SF.

Kupp: Philadelphia's defense ranks 27th in FPPG given up to WR. We saw the dud McLaurin had last week. Certainly Kupp is better than McLAurin. But, you have 4 really good options here, and you have to nitpick when the options are this good.

PPR I am waffling on my flex decision.

Malik Nabers v Tampa Bay (#29 v WRs)
Terry McLaurin v Dallas (#15 v WRs)
Jonathan Taylor v Detroit (#6 v RBs)

I have had Nabers in all week but I'm thinking Taylor may be the better option simply based on volume. I just hate how little he is involved in the passing game.

  • Goff at IND or Love v SF

  • Dissly v BAL or LaPorta at IND
Big dog this week with Cook & London on a bye. Leveled up a bit with my Warren outscoring his Najee Thursday.

The villain is 2nd in PF and doesn't have anyone on a bye. I could clinch a playoff spot with a win.
Goff. Better match up. Gets La Porta back.

I love Love, and have him in more places than Goff. Would prefer to have Goff this week.

.5 PPR
I’m favored by 10

Start 2
Jameson Williams at Indy
DJ Moore vs Minnesota
Tyrone Tracy vs Tamp
I think it's really close between Jameson and DJ.

I think I go DJ Moore with a better matchup. Vikings give up the 4th most FPPG to WR's.

LaPorta is back to add to the target competition for Jameson. Both WR's have a lot of target competition. DJ has the better matchup. I think he's still the best WR on that team. This should be a bounce back week.

FWIW: FBG and Fantasypros both have Jameson slightly ahead of Moore.

Start Tracy with whichever of the other 2 you choose.

Half-point PPR its desperation RB2 day.

Ameer Abdullah

Or

Roschon Johnson
I don't trust Abdullah.

He's ranked higher on FBG and FAntasypros. He has the cleared path to a lot of touches. But...

Raiders are one of the worst, if not the worst, rushing teams in the league. Tough matchup vs Denver. I worry you wind up with one of those 9 carries for 22 yards, 2 catches for 7 yards, and a cloud of dust.

Roschon has taken some goal line TD's, if the Bears are smart, they keep getting him touches.

PPP league.

Ekeler vs Dal - Will Ekeler get enough touches to be relevant again a poor Dallas defense.

Javonte Williams vs LVR - I hate trusting Peyton even against a poor Raider defense. A repeat of last weeks performance would be good though.

Thoughts?

This one made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Need to start TWO of these at my flex spots (PPR)....

Addison @ CHI
Irving @ NYG
K Allen vs MIN
Douglas @ MIA
Bourne @ MIA
Westbrook-Ikhine @ HOU

Flex ppr (thank you bye weeks)
Abdullah V Den
Christian Watson V SF
Alec Pierce V Det
I think Watson is safer, more reliable, and has huge upside.

I feel better about Watson. I would start Watson. I'm starting him in a handful of leagues.

Feels like one where as soon as we both start Watson, Pierce catches a 57 yard touchdown to start the game. Don't hate me if/when it happens.

PPP league.

Ekeler vs Dal - Will Ekeler get enough touches to be relevant again a poor Dallas defense.

Javonte Williams vs LVR - I hate trusting Peyton even against a poor Raider defense. A repeat of last weeks performance would be good though.

Thoughts?

Javonte I guess

PPR

Mayfield vs NYG
or
Mahomes vs Car?
I think I lean Mahommes, but it's crazy close.

Carolina gives up the 7th most FPPG to QB's
NYG gives up the 9th most.

Both QB's have game script risk. I think there's a world in which KC and/or TB get some turnovers leading to defensive scores or short fields. Lots of running the ball in the 2nd half.

Josh Downs vs Det
D Hopkins @ Carolina
Downs.

Detroit gives up the 4th most FPPG to WR's.

I worry Young turns it over a bunch, KC winds up with a defensive score and or short fields, and it's a 2nd half blow out. We may see KC run it a ton, and Hopkins isn't getting a ton of opportunities. Draft Kings has 50+ yards at +125. Anything can happen, but Vegas is generally pretty on it.

Who sits, .5 PPR

MHJ - possible bad weather
Lamb - banged up plus bad QB play
JSN - playing great lately but again possible bad weather
Hunt - great matchup but looking slower
I'm playing Hunt and Lamb for sure.

I think it's about a coin toss between JSN and MHJ.

Seattle gives up the 12th most FPPG to WR
Arizona gives up the 16th most FPPG to WR.

I'm personally going MHJ, but really could go either way

.5 PPR pick 1 RB and 1 TE ..

Tracy or Hunt
Schoonmaker, Noah Gray, or Theo Johnson

Thanks in advance!
Hunt.

I love Tracy and he could be fine. But the QB change worries more for the Giants offense as a whole.

Hunt: Carolina gives up THE MOST FPPG to RB. I think it's a one sided affair, and KC runs it a bunch in the 2nd half. No Pacheco, I expect another big day for Hunt.

TE Wise: Schoonmaker. Rush threw it to the TE a bunch last week. Kelce is still there, and Gray was more of a fluke. I wouldn't want to trust anyone on NYG other than Tracy/Nabers, and I'm not sure we can feel great about those 2

PPR League.

Benson vs SEA
Justice Hill vs LAC
Estime vs LV

It's a dynasty league, I'm not making the playoffs, and I'd have to drop Jordan Mason to get Hill or Estime. Thanks!
I mean, if you're not making the playoffs, I wouldn't go out of my way to win a week. Don't tank, but don't go above and beyond to finish in 8th rather than 12th.

Just play the guy you have. I wouldn't want to drop Mason after what we've seen this year.

PPR league. Need a dart throw for flex.

* Will Dissly vs BALT -- Great matchup. Herbert throwing more. Getting 6+ targets the last few games.

* K. Bourne (or Boutte) @MIA -- Maye could be playing catchup. Bourne starting to come around.

* N. Westbrook-Ikine @HOU -- Crazy streak getting TDs and that's about it.

* A. Estimate @ LV -- Great matchup. We were rug pulled last week. He could get some run in a blowout.

* J. Palmer vs BALT -- McKonkey is banged up but expected to play. Still, game could be a shootout and BALT secondary stinks.

Which one?

Thanks
As you said, you're throwing the dart.

FWIW, Dissly is ranked highest across FBG and Fantasypros. So most experts would say him. I won't fault you for doing that.

I personally don't have a ton of faith and would narrow it down to Palmer or Westbrook. Palmer's targets haven't been there.

I think with how Westbrook keeps hitting, I'd rather take my chances with him. While Baltimore gives up the most FPPG to WR, I expect a lot of that to go to McConkey an QJ. Westbrook gets the 8th worst defense in terms of WR PPG with Houston.

Second "conundrum" for me this week...

Wash D/ST vs, Dallas

or

Denver D/ST vs. LV

Both feel "right", but this matchup's basically a must win for me, so I'm trolling for even a couple extra points wherever I can land them. Was leaning Denver, but now I'm waffling.
I agree it's Denver.

Better defense. + matchup.

Torn at QB today.
Jayden Daniels has cooled off but a fun matchup against Dallas.
Or Herbert against the Ravens.

Fighting for a playoff spot here:

1) QB: Mahomes @ CAR -or- Love vs SF. Mahomes is the safer floor play here, but something tells me Love may have a great day facing a backup QB and diminished pass rush.

2) FLEX: Tracy vs TB -or- J.Reed vs SF. Again, floor vs ceiling game. Tracy has been solid, but Reed does a lot with low volume. Ugh.

I need a flex starter in the worst way. But my yahoo IR play has made it complicated. Currently in my flex is Thielen vs KC. But my options are him, Pearsall, Trey Benson, Jonathan Brooks or Slayton. Or I would have to drop Elijah Moore and Slayton and probably Benson to pick up and start Laube or Abdullah. I am projected to lose by like 16 already. It’s a 12 team .5ppr/.5ppfd. Sorry for the complicated nature.
I would go Benson.

I see Thielen as the safe play, I don't think he's about to blow up for you though. He's averaging 4 targets per game since returning from injury. KC's defense is stout and I don't want to rely on Bryce Young completing 8 or 10 passes to anyone.

Benson has had 9 and 12 touches the last 2 weeks. He's young and far more explosive than Thielen. There's always the off chance Conner gets hurt. I wouldn't count or bank on that. But your path to victory is Benson breaking some big runs for TD's or Conner getting hurt.

My current consideration in .5 pt ppr.

Courtland Sutton in a meh matchup vs. LV

or

Jujuan Jennings vs. GB with the valet parking attendant chucking him the rock.

Bye week issues on both sides in this matchup, but I'd still slightly favor my expected starting lineup. Im starting Nix at QB (Burrow on bye), so was leaning JJ to diversify....but the QB gimmick in SF can't be ignored. What say we?
Sutton all the way. I'm nervous about all of my SF guys with Purdy out.

Jayden Daniels v Dal or Goff @ Indy? Daniels has had 3 out of 4 poor games since rib inj discounting hail mary v Chi. He is coming off mini bye this week since played last Thurs. I'm afraid of passing on Goff again since Lions like to score and keep scoring
I like Goff a good bit, but no way I'm going away from Daniels.

Must choose 3 WR of Harrison, Lamb, Nabers, Metcalf, Njagba, Moore or Samuel. Injuries have me having trouble deciding

One more person playing Crappy Bye-Week Fill-In RB Roulette. 14-team, non-PPR. Here are my options:

Abdullah v Den
Estime @ LV
Akers @ Chi
Laube v Den
Wright v NE

Currently have Estime but leaning towards AA. Both backfields are somewhat ambiguous, but Ameer would seem to have a better path to touches. Meanwhile, Estime has a much better matchup, so conceivably a better chance of falling into the end zone
It would take a really bad situation for me to choose Abdullah, but this is probably it.

As you said, easiest path to touches. That's all you can really go by in these situations.

I don't trust Estime after the backfield split last week.

PPP league.

Ekeler vs Dal - Will Ekeler get enough touches to be relevant again a poor Dallas defense.

Javonte Williams vs LVR - I hate trusting Peyton even against a poor Raider defense. A repeat of last weeks performance would be good though.

Thoughts?
I think you have to go with Javonte here. But, really it's such a tough call with either option.

This one made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. Need to start TWO of these at my flex spots (PPR)....

Addison @ CHI
Irving @ NYG
K Allen vs MIN
Douglas @ MIA
Bourne @ MIA
Westbrook-Ikhine @ HOU
No clue.

I would probably ride Westbrook because of the hot hand then Irving and hope the Bucs roll the Giants.

Ugh.
I'm okay with Love here but, you're right Mahomes has a safer floor and a better matchup. If KC is resting starters in the fourth it's because they scored a lot in 1-3.

Tracy. I'm going with the guy in line for 20 touches and has already played well without much help from the QB.

Must choose 3 WR of Harrison, Lamb, Nabers, Metcalf, Njagba, Moore or Samuel. Injuries have me having trouble deciding
Is this PPR? Including matchups would be helpful here, too. And, isn't Samuel on the bye or is that another Samuel?

I start Lamb, Metcalf & Njibga and don't really think twice about it. If you don't like starting two WRs from the same team I guess I would bench JSN for Harrison.

Torn at QB today.
Jayden Daniels has cooled off but a fun matchup against Dallas.
Or Herbert against the Ravens.
Both outstanding options.

I'm still going Daniels with the Dallas matchup. Baltimore gives up the 3rd most FPPG to QB's, Dallas gives up the 5th. Daniels gives you the rushing upside.

Deebo @ GB
or
Legette vs KC

Just yards and TD's (no PPR).
I get the worry over the SF QB situaton, and would sit Deebo for other solid options.

I just don't know that Bryce vs KC is any better than the SF backup. I think I'm taking my chances with Deebo here.

Swapped Taylor into the starting lineup.

I mean... It's Jonathan Taylor.

Started Roschon and he Plunged one into the endzone, which is all I could really ask for.
