Week 1 surprises. What stood out to you? (1 Viewer)

How about Gates out snapping Henry? That seems insane to me, Gates is an all time Charger and one of the all time greats at tight end, but Henry is better than him now and should out snap him every week if they want to win.

This thread is proof that the left will attempt to make you feel "guilty" over anything, including football. Can this thread get #### canned or thrown over to the whine fest that is the political FFA?

Biggest surprise: Bradford's numbers were good but his play was even better, IMO.

I shouldn't be surprised: People acting like week 1's performances are stone cold locks for what will transpire over the rest of the season.

Reminder: It takes about 4 games for usage and performance trends to even begin to mean anything.
NO is horrific on defense, but Minnesota has one of the top easiest schedules against the pass this year.  A lot of weapons at Bradford's disposable - he should have a good year especially compared to ADP

I've essentially watched every snap from every game and it was the ugliest #### I've ever seen.

That's hardcore. What's the opposite of the "can I join your league" quip?

He should, but does anyone think he's got a shot at top 10 numbers? I'd still lean towards no, although Luck's injury and Wilson's offensive line might've just opened up 2 spots I had considered locked in.

Diggs and Thielen both looked legit. If Floyd or Treadwell live up to half of their draft expectations, Bradford will quietly have one of the best WR trios in the league. Rudolph is very underrated as well.

Sorry for the tread derailment.

Back on point -

Goff was surprising. Cooper Kupp was not exactly surprising but welcome.

Anyone else rolling with Kupp this week? LA is playing WASH. You have to figure Norman will shadow Sammy Watkins, leaving Goff's favorite target one-on-one with who? Who else does WASH have to cover people?

ETA: Coach Sean McVay knowing the nuances of Washington's D can only help the playcalling as well. Kupp may be in for a quality FF week. I'm starting him over CMAC vs. Buffalo.
