Week 1 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

In one league: Spiller, Reggie Bush, and Barber to be RB2 beside MJD. :X Started Spiller... In another: Hello? Ray Rice? Is this thing on?? Hello?? One more quater left, I know, but really??
I think that the Ray Rice performance is about what I expected. I was praying that my week wouldn't come down to him versus Jamaal Charles (who my opponent has left). I am a bit concerned about his lack of involvement in the passing game though.

168.1 to 171.8 (172.9 to 171.8 Making me sweat a single reception ridiculous)

Only player playing is Gates on my team (1 PPR) and KC has him in double coverage and the SD Oline is being a joke atm.

Lost by 2.1 with Charles and Kaeding in and opponent's team finished. I needed 21+ yards in 23 minutes of football. I didn't think that was asking too much.

Simple....3 points from Nate Kaeding against the Chiefs...lock right???....NOT!!!

To top things off....Calvin Johnson got robbed a TD (and his starting QB is out a while), and my 3rd round pick...you guessed it, Ryan Grant!!!

Tied in week 1, but lost due his bench outscoring mine by less than 5 points...

Heartbreaker of a week!!...and not looking good going forward.

Third highest-scoring team in my 12-team league.

Lost, of course. Welcome back to another year of fantasy football.

The highlighted part is what you should be venting about. Using your bench to determine whether you win or lose is ridiculous. Go to decimal scoring or just call it a tie.

I lost by .22 to the only team in the league that scored higher than mine. I was up by more than 16 going into the final Monday night game, but he had Charles going. Lost on Charles' 3-yard run midway through the fourth quarter. Really lost on his long TD run though. That he had Arian Foster didn't help either. Also would have won if Eli Manning didn't throw that interception when the Giants decided to throw the ball one last time up by 15 with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Man, Norv....you move up 12 spots to get Ryan Mathews, and then you don't use him in the red zone (especially at the end of the game). Sproles brought absolutely nothing in week 1... My own fault for being stupid enough to believe Mathews could be a top 10 RB.

Celek and Desean Jackson seemed non-existant.

Oh, and how could I forget, Chargers lose and kick me out of my survivor league in week 1 for the 5th year in a row.

Flacco, R Rice, Deangelo Williams, R Moss, Fitz, Sims-Walker...felt pretty good after the draft. And today I have the lowest score in the whole league. FML.

Lost by 4 points. My defense got me -4 points. Out of the 32 teams in the NFL, I could have chosen 31 teams and would have won my game. I chose the 32nd, Cincinnati Bengals.

Oh yea, I had the 2nd highest score for the week. Its actually pretty funny in its absurdity.

My dynasty IDP league starts 17 players and can get pretty high scoring with our structure.

I was feeling good when FBG projections had me at 307.3 pts.

Unfortunately, 14 of my 17 starters were under their projections...some of the woefully so. Of the 3 that at least made their projections, they cleared that mark by a combined 5.78 points. I didn't have a single offensive player score a rushing or receiving TD and none of my IDP's created a turnover.

What this all means is that I was NINETY POINTS under the official FBG projections. Which, coincidentally is what I lost by. That's right....as a whole they were off by 30%. It's always fun when you score about 2/3 as much as your opponent.

Special kudos to the following top underperformers:

Mike Sims-Walker

Roman Harper

Stephen Cooper

Honorable Mention lackluster performances go out to:

Steve Smith NYG

Michael Boley

Garret Hartley

This is my first year in this league with my buds and I lost by .05 to the defending champ. I think it was that last Jamal Charles rush that was a loss or no gain that killed me. I was winning when I went to bed. :violin:

Yeah, that's ridiculous. It would suck to tie against the person who rosters four quarterbacks.

After the NFL stat corrections today, I'm the 2nd highest score in my league, and losing to the high scoring team 206.03 to 206.04.

Lost by 0.01 points. Ouch.
