Week 10 Waiver Wire (1 Viewer)

Raiderfan, I agree with what you are saying. I did not get Sanchez in my 2QB league (I had Foles) so I got Mallet as a FA add for depth after the waivers posted.

I did get Rivera on waivers to replace Jordan Reed.

Good job gettiing Rivera, who is a nice bye week add for a lot of teams this week.

Any read on the Buffalo RB situation? Was thinking about picking up Dixon this week as a desperation play. He did have 22 carries 2 weeks ago and DET is a tough matchup. But KC isn't much easier. At least its at home though.
Fred Jackson has been working out but not yet cleared by team doctors but says he thinks he will play this week

For deep leagues. Sounds like andrew hawkins may sit which may give taylor gabriel a bigger opportunity...
If Hawkins sits, Gabriel may be worth a shot for those of us that are desperate

"Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin in danger of missing Week 10
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

(3:38 pm ET) Seahawks No. 1 receiver Doug Baldwin injured his groin in Sunday's win over the Raiders and might not be able to play Week 10 against the Giants, coach Pete Carroll told the Seattle Times. Baldwin, however, told Carroll he intends to play, the coach added."

If Peterson is on the wire he's 1a, b and c...he's the guy.

Major difference between Rice and Peterson -- Peterson never lost the respect of his peers and teammates. Guys were killing rice, saying he should be in prison, while many jumped out to Peterson's defense almost immediately. Peterson misses another game or two, gives back 4-6 game checks and the NFL calls it good. 10 games and a bunch of game checks -- just don't see how people aren't happy that the penalty was stiff enough.

I'm betting Peterson meets with Goodell in the next 10 days and is on the field by Thanksgiving.
Are you serious? The guy whipped his four year old kid enough to make both his legs and nuts bleed and stuffed leaves in his mouth. Rice's crime albeit bad in itself is nothing compared to what AP did. The guy is sick in the head and the NFL should be ashamed of themselves for ever allowing this guy back into the league. I don't care if he plea bargained down to a misdemeanor, the acts he committed (and admitted to) should be more than enough reason for banishment regardless of how the legal proceedings played out. WTF has this world come to?

good info here. thanks! I'll be picking up Gabriel where I can.
Cleveland Browns: Taylor Gabriel, who went undrafted, has a Yards Per Route Run of 2.26, which is the second highest rate among rookie wide receivers.

Curious to hear the thinking of Brady/Luck owners for their bye-week replacement QBs. I own Brady on both my teams, and was able to get the Sanchize in one league. In the other, I've been holding Alex Smith for a few weeks now, but don't love his match-up (@BUF), so am also considering Vick (vs PIT), Orton (vs KC) or Davis (@AZ). Feel like Smith is the high-floor/low-ceiling play, and Vick is the opposite. Like the match-up (especially with Troy/Shazier out), love the running ability, love that they're getting Harvin involved. But man, I've ridden the Vick-o-Coaster before, and it was not a fun ride. Will probably stick with Smith.

Crowell. I smell another change coming and the upcoming schedule is a tasty one.
I was planning on dropping crowell for west. Is that not the play?
Who the heck knows? Crowell didn't play a snap last week so I don't see how he can be recommended over West at this point.
Have you ever played chess? This is a few steps ahead move. I'm not saying West isn't a move to make or a player to own, I just feel the best RB on this team will prove to be Crowell and I suspect the Cleveland brass already sees the writing on the wall.
I don't own a Browns RB and my preference is Crowell but it is hugely optimistic (if not delusional) to go this far....
Hugely

Good call but don't get ahead of yourself.. Crowell is good but you are acting like you found the gem of the year. He will be a good rb2 ROS unless he fumbles his job away. Nothing really special unless you were desperate at RB.

Definitely not the gem of the year but the writing seemed to be on the wall IMO at the time and I wanted to people to look outside the box at bit and get him while they could. Nothing more.

In the Week 9 Waiver Wire thread I got ripped by a half dozen people for dropping Tate because he put up B2B weeks of 16-36 and 15-26.

20 touches a week! RB32!! Were you high or drunk? Bad idea.

Subsequently:

10-3

10-34

2-(-9)

cut

Of course, these were the same posters who think Hakeem Nicks was the pickup when Wayne was hurt.

There certainly can be a herd mentality and if you dare question it, you get called delusional. A big part of why I come here is not to confirm what I already know, it's to perhaps allow someone else to shed some light on an angle I'm not looking at completely.
