Week 11 Injury Thread (8 Viewers)

Waiting on update on JK Dobbins. It’s been so vague. Everything from mild foot sprain to lisfranc season ender. What the heck?
Unless Dobbins goes to IR, you're not going to get anything directly from Payton until the official Wednesday injury report

And even then it will just be the status and location of the injury. That's just how he does things

Asked if it was a one-week thing, head coach Jonathan Gannon responded: "We'll see."
I'm not a doctor, but I would think it's closer to three weeks. Surly there is information on past cases for reference, but I don't have that information.
FWIW, IIRC, a F1 driver, Carlos Sainz, got his removed a few years back and then drove the next week. I think he got a podium actually. So young pro athletes might have a sped up timeframe.

How demanding physically is F1 racing? As opposed to be smashed by some 240 to 300 lb defensive player?

It's a lot of Gs. Guess we'll see.

I'm guessing that nobody wants to hear about Jaguars WR Jimmy Smith when he had an emergency appendectomy. He had complications and missed the 1993 and 1994 seasons.
I remember that because I had an appendectomy close to the same time. I was thinking that there was no way that I would see Jimmy running up the middle of the field anytime soon catching a high pass.

LaPorta also missed practice Wednesday and the Lions other TE, Brock Wright, is also battling an injury, missing Wednesday's practice and was limited in Thursday's practice. Lions signed TE Anthony Firkser to the practice squad. There is concern but it's hard to say it's just from LaPorta or because both of their top 2 TEs are hurt.

Penei Sewell and Aiden Hutchinson both returned to practice. S Kerby Joseph has not practiced this week, nor has CB Terrion Arnold, who is still in concussion protocol. CB Amik Robertson was limited Thursday because of a hamstring injury.
