Week 12 Injury Thread - If You See Something, Say Something (1 Viewer)

We talked about having one big Injury thread vs a new thread each week here and most folks said they'd rather have a new thread each week. So here we are!

I'll start one each Thursday.

A couple of things to please keep in mind that would be really helpful if everyone can do.

1. Please use the players real name when you're posting. And please be specific as you can about the injury. If you don't know, say you don't know.

In other words, "A-Rob just got blown up!!!!!" sucks. "Allen Robinson in on the ground with what looks like a knee injury" is way better.

2. Please let us know the source and share a link if possible. If you're watching the game and saw the injury, please say that. If you read it on Twitter, please say that and give a link. If you got a Sleeper Alert, please say that and click through on Sleeper to the source that's usually a tweet and share that link.

3. Please let us know what happened after the injury. This is super important. Was he:

Carted off

Helped off with assistance

Walked off with a limp or something

4. Please update if they come back to the game or sidelines. Hopefully it's a "He's back in the game and looks ok". Or it may be "He's on the sideline without his helmet". That kind of thing.

You get the idea.

Miles Sanders limped off and I saw him trying to walk off whatever it was.  I didn't see the play, sorry.  He seems fine.

Of note: Deebo seemed to stop and start to go down before he was hit. Wasn't clutching anything, but might have hurt himself non contact.

Seen emotional on sideline with towel over head.
Seen standing and grinning while sipping on some Gatorade.  Looks fine to me.

As long as it isn’t legs or feet.
His leg also got twisted up bit but they didn't seem to be checking it.

That he couldn't walk off with a shoulder injury though seems like a pretty significant injury. Maybe just dislocated and nothing broken or torn but he was grabbing at his pec area :notadoctor:

They never said anything about a leg injury anytime after he left.  Why did he need a cart?  Maybe his feelings were also hurt after the fumble.

That's what I'm saying, his shoulder hurt so bad they needed a cart. Obviously guessing on my couch here but made me think it is pretty bad like a torn muscle or something.

Dalvin schedule to get an MRI on his shoulder and Deebo an MRI on his groin to determine the extent of their injuries.

Not sure about Cook, but I would be shocked if Samuel’s injury isn’t minor.
Hope so but dropping to his knees, getting emotional, looking downcast on the sideline with a towel draped over his head...I guess some guys get concerned when their groin has been injured.  :P

He looked to be in good spirits to me, smiling and joking around with Mitchell and encouraging his teammates and moving around the sidelines..  Not the look of someone seriously injured.

Ian Rapoport . @RapSheet

#Vikings RB Dalvin Cook suffered a shoulder dislocation today, sources say, which knocked him out of the game after 103 yards from scrimmage. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow to determine what damage the dislocation caused.

Linebacker Fred Warner and receiver Deebo Samuel departed the team's 34-26 victory in the third quarter with left hamstring and groin injuries, respectively. Neither player returned to the game and both are slated for MRIs on Monday morning to determine the severity of their ailments.
"We're not sure [how serious the injuries are]," Niners coach Kyle Shanahan said. "We'll see on the MRIs with Deebo and Fred. But we're not sure yet."

While Warner was not available to speak to media after the game, Samuel was and offered some optimism that his injury won't be long term. "My groin got kind of tight once I went to make a move so I was just like, 'Let's not make that worse' so that's why I just went down," Samuel said. "[There's] not too much concern. I've got an MRI and stuff in the morning, and we're just going to see how it goes."

49ers RB Trey Sermon was carted with a right ankle injury in San Francisco's Week 12 win over the Vikings.

Sermon was injured blocking on a second quarter punt return. Speaking after the game, coach Kyle Shanahan said it was the Niners' most concerning injury of the day. Unsurprisingly, Sermon had handled the ball zero times before going down. It's possible his season is through.

Rough week. I think every RB I have is on either out or questionable this week.

Cook, Kamara, Swift, Henderson, Sanders, Carter, Ingram.
