Week 13 waiver wire (1 Viewer)

We'll all likely be playing the guessing game with NE skill positions. Agree Chandler is the top pickup. After that, maybe Bolden? But that's probably chasing points. It's not like any of the WRs distinguished themselves. And Amendola is probably back next week.

Is Chandler worth the #1 waiver claim and/or the rest of your bid bucks if Gronk out for the year?
I think that depends on your backup. If you have somebody like Gates, Walker, Reed, etc. you should be okay. Chandler won't get near Gronk points but I think he just became a top 12 guy.

I suppose the silver lining is that, in leagues where you can only play one TE, a lot of people won't bother putting in claims (although I'm sure the Graham owner will also be interested).

In one league, I have Kelce and no obvious drops on the end of my bench, so I won't be targeting Chandler. However, in my other league I have Gates and we can play a TE at flex, so I'll definitely put in a claim.

I'm claiming Chandler I play against the Gronk owner next week with playoffs on the line. I have the higher waiver priority by 1 slot. That is of

of course if Gronk is out.

I'd say David Johnson would be #1. Unfortunately for me in my league we have deep benches and the Gronk owner has hung onto Johnson all year ironically.

A few other TEs that may be useful - Kyle Rudolph and Will Tye.

For the latter, the Giants can't run the ball for a lick, so Eli will keep chucking it and not all the targets will go to ODB.

Are we just assuming Markus Wheaton (FBGs WR104 last week) is already rostered? Seems like good insurance for an AB owner if you can get him.

I'm in a mixed TE/WR league where J. Thomas is still available, but I do like Rudolph a lot this time of the year.

Shaun Draughn had another solid, not spectacular, performance. He has been passed over in my league, but I plan to make a claim on him this week.

Perhaps Boom Herron is worth a shot, given the injury to Bradshaw and the overall mediocrity of Frank Gore.

Jay Ajayi looks dynamic with the ball, but isn't getting enough carries to make him relevant. Maybe the OC change in Miami will see an uptick in his carries.

I can't believe no one has said Devante Parker. He put up an ok line and RMatt is looking like he might miss a game or two. I wouldn't use a #1-2 ww on him, but I'd def be picking him up if your hurting at wr.

That's a good point, especially with Miami facing Baltimore this week.

Buyers market on TE. Besides those listed above, Vance McDonald, Ryan Griffin and even Luke Willson have ppr value. I am also looking at Boom Herron

I think CJ Anderson is primed for a solid playoff run, so if a disgruntled owner in your league dropped him, he's worth a consideration.

I'd probably take David Johnson over Anderson, assuming both are available, but both are worth consideration.

Anything to see with Seth Roberts? Or one-week wonder?
He's played pretty well all year, nothing like yesterday of course but he has talent.I picked him up in a deep league weeks ago.

He's probably not a top 36 receiver, but should be rostered especially in deep leagues. I like him more in dynasty, could be 2nd to cooper with a good young QB.

He is a good young talent; like you mentioned especially in dynasty. Not sure I would hang my season on him going into redraft playoffs.

Cooper and Crabtree are going to see the majority of targets in just about any situation.

Ravens, Giants, Chargers, Colts. Unfortunately he's not available for me. Jennings had a TD while Stills had 10 targets. Could either of them have value or is this Parker's time to shine?

Who knows? They clearly view him as their outside WR of the future, and with the new OC I could certainly see them spending the rest of the year seeing what they have. But he's been a huge disappointment so far, so you're playing with fire. Even if I got him, I'd probably wait one more week before starting him.

Twas a big homecoming game for Roberts. Spent most his life in the local area (heard/read someone say) and had friends and family at the game. Deffinately a sneaky start anytime he plays in Tennessee again

For dynasty purposes, don't be so sure Crabtree doesn't bolt after his resurgence on this one year deal. Reggie McKenzie isn't going to over pay for Crabtree.

You could be looking at Carr's number two WR in a year.

disclaimer: gronk owner. - would you say that chandler is a better pickup than orange julius? i like the tasty eagles matchup alot, but moving forward, is chandler the better option weeks 14-15-16 should gronk miss extended time?

man, i hate the weekly anxiety over picking the right TE.

I'd go with Julius. They really seem to be targeting him the past few weeks.

But yeah, I owned Gronk in 2013 when he blew out his knee and spent the playoffs scouring the WW for TEs. By the time I reached the championship, I think my options were down to Ryan Griffin and Marcedes Lewis. I finally realized that it just didn't matter; it is humanly impossible to predict which replacement-level TEs will perform better than any others.

Embrace the zen and relinquish any feelings of control. Your team won't do any better or worse, but your anxiety will go way down.

My claims this week in order (I only get 1) short bench league

RB

CJ Anderson

David Johnson

TE

Chandler

WR

Wheaton

Parker

My claims. I'm not prioritizing Chandler because I don't expect to get him, and it's far more important for my roster to have Taylor so I can pair him with Hoyer going forward. In terms of talent, he's definitely the top option out there in my league. Targeting Powell only because I have Ivory.

1. Drop JWhite, get TTaylor

2. Drop White, get Chandler

3. Drop Coleman, get Powell

4. Drop White, get Parker

5. Drop White, get Cousins

Thoughts on these guys in PPR?

I have them ranked as...

1) D. Johnson - If the usage is there he could explode

2) S. Draughn - Highest floor of the bunch perhaps

3) S. Ware - Maybe #1 if West out ROS

All 3 are available in one of my leagues.

arians worries me. johnson is a fumble away from it being the stephon taylor or whoever isn't a rookie show IMO. also is ellington even out?

like draugn as he has cle in week 14, but what is hyde's chances of coming back?

Mind if I ask what your reasoning is for Anderson over Johnson? I'm in a similar situation myself.

Anderson showed his upside last week, but it took overtime to get him 2014 kind of stats, and Hillman is still very much in the mix. I like Johnson's upside, and assuming Ellington is out this week (and possibly even longer, knowing his injury history), the starting role could be his the rest of the fantasy season.

I drafted Anderson this year but soured on him and dropped him back in October, inciting a certain amount of hesitation to pick him back up again on my part.

I think this also the last time we may be able to get Ajayi "easily". After the OC got canned, who knows what they're going to do but with Miller probably walking after this year, they may very well start playing Ajayi a lot more to see what they have.

Yea, and now Ellington is day-to-day...clear as mud

Gronk owner. Never been so sad to be 11-1

Lol.

Julius Thomas or Chandler for me. And with $0 budget. Ugh
2 man league? Why is THOMAS available?
Thomas has been pretty pedestrian up to this week. I would think an owner would have been hard pressed to keep him on the roster throughout the season - he was a waiver add for most people...either last week or this week, but I would guess he wouldn't have been on too many rosters much before that.

Can't answer for him but I'd take CJA at the top as well. For me, it's about the trend. He's getting increasing work and the new offense is favoring his style a bit more than Hillman. He's also healthy now.
