Week 15 Defenses (1 Viewer)

I have NE and DallasIf Rodgers is out I'm starting NE. IF he's in I"m starting DallasIf Grossman is the QB I'm starting Dallas, If Mcnabb is the QB i'm going with NE.If both Mcnabb and Rodgers is out i'm starting NE.
I'm in the exact same situation. Based on the aboce, it's not clear on what you're doing if both Rodgers and McNabb play. I've decided there's no way I'm starting a D that's playing Rodgers, so my order of preference is this:1. Pats vs Flynn2. Cowboys vs Grossman3. Cowboys vs McNabb4. Pats vs RodgersAlso, not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but both are solid plays for Week 16: Dallas @ Ari, NE @ Buf.

I'm shocked that Dodds had the Giants currently ranked as the #1 overall defense this week. I've got SD and NYG and I'm ready to rock the Chargers vs. the niners!

New England is probably the best option here whether Rodgers plays or not. It's even better if he doesn't play. The New England defense has been playing out of their minds the past few games and are annihilating people. They are all young, but have finally figured it out. This is a scary looking team going forward and their defense looks phenomenal right now. I don't know that there is a better defensive play. And they are playing at home, against either a recently concussed Rodgers (slow reaction time), or a newbie in Flynn.

I'm going New England.

This remains a very difficult call. I'm starting to lean towards Dallas over picking a side in AZ-Car. I think there will be a lot of handoffs in Carolina.

I'm constantly switching between SD and OAK.

I just don't know. Meh. I won't decide until late tonight. And Dallas is sitting there on the waivers.

FWIW, I listened to Sirius Fantasy Sports radio while on the road yesterday, and the best ww D other than Dallas, if McNabb sits was easly AZ.

I think their value is a little over hyped b/c of the # of TD's but I am starting to look more at AZ over Carolina.

People really need to take a hard look at where points come from in their defense scoring.

For example, my one league, there is a big bonus for a shutout, but beyond that no points awarded or deducted for points scored.

The same league has any turnover or sack as 2 points (vs sacks being 1 pt in other leagues).

Point is, figure out where the easiest points come from and where the biggest penalties come from and look for teams that can exploit that

Trouble is a lot of leagues the scoring isn't that easy to dissect. If you face significant downside risk from points or worse, yards, you're stuck handicapping the games as well as your match up to determine how much risk you want to take.

My concern with Arizona is they are terrible against the run and thats Carolina's strength. If Carolina just pounds the ball all day on the ground the opportuniites for sacks and INT's goes down...

Here's a post to make some of you feel better.

My 11 year old league does not allow waivers after week 13. We played on Exit 42 originally, and it is nearly impossible to get these guys to change the rules. Everyone by the end of the season was trying to play the matchups with WW DST. My waiver claims went like so:

Chargers

Patriots

Dolphins

Buccaneers

Being the first place team, I ended up with Tampa. Several injuries later, it's not looking good for me. Just gotta hope the Bucs can play outta their skulls the next two weeks.

Good luck to all!

Grossman now in vs Dallas.

Tebow now in vs Oakland.

Webb now in vs Minn.

Flynn now in vs NE.

---->>> Dallas still seems like a great start, an even better start than they were before.

I can't decide between DST Patriots or Bears! Anyone have this particular decision to make? Any thoughts?

Will the emotion of the vikings game with all the greats there make them play well?

Maybe crazy, but Buffalo has put up some decent fantasy points in the past few weeks and play a QB that passed for 55 yards last week. As long as the don't get run on all day, Buffalo could be a decent play.
