Week 15 - Lamar owners… Who you rolling with in playoffs? (1 Viewer)

Grabbed Tua yesterday in one league. Dropped Rams DST before MNF. 
 

in another It’s either Tua, Ben, Jimmy, or Fields. 
 

 
Our playoffs are weeks 16/17 and my seed is pretty much locked, but I'm starting Tua this week. What I'd do in week 16, I don't know

 
Fortunate with a bye so I don't have to deal with it this week, but my plans are as follows:

1) Grab Tua. Done. Did that prior to Sunday's nights game. Decent schedule @NO and @TN weeks 16 and 17. Sweet matchup against the Jets this week where a lack of RBs probably boost his stats too.

2) J. Fields -- Kinda feel like he's coming around and could seriously pop here down the stretch. @SEA and NYG's last two weeks nothing to be afraid of IMHO. 

3) Jimmy G -- Don't love this option since I know Shanahan would rather run the ball all day. Floor is very low here, but could be a safe play with @TN and HOU weeks 16 and 17.

I don't see much risk in other owners grabbing these QBs. They've got their own problems to deal with.

 
Have a bye, but we do play for high point weekly and total season money. It's a specific format (Team QB, everyone must carry exactly two), so my options are limited for fill-ins. I have BALQB and WFTQB, so my options are:

  • Start BALQB (Huntley - I don't see Jackson playing) vs GB
  • Start WFTQB (Heinecke seems like he will be fine, but who knows?) vs PHI
  • Start waiver add:

    Bridgewater vs CIN
  • Mayfield vs LV
  • Roethlisberger vs TEN
  • Lawrence vs HOU
  • Wilson vs MIA
  • Jones vs IND
  • Goff vs ARI
  • Whoever the heck NYG starts vs DAL

I'm currently considering Heinecke or Ben, but really don't love my options for this week. That said, looking to next week, the decision gets even more difficult:

  • Jackson/Huntley vs CIN
  • Heinecke vs DAL
  • Bridgewater vs LV
  • Mayfield vs GB
  • Roethlisberger vs KC
  • Lawrence vs NYJ
  • Wilson vs JAX
  • Jones vs BUF
  • Goff vs ATL
  • Whoever the heck NYG starts vs PHI
The best match-ups are with the worst QBs, and the rest are all pretty brutal. 

Does anyone like someone more than the others from the second list?

I love the Fields play.  We have 8 make playoffs and I’m seriously considering Fields vs Minnesota because his floor rushing.  

 
I have Jackson and Heineke (16 team league). The wire has been bare of decent QB options for a while now so this is what I’ve been stuck with. It feels nuts to write but I’ll be torn between these two all week.

Huntley is on waivers so I’ll try to pick him up as well. This way I have an additional option if Lamar sits (I feel like Huntley would be more productive than an injured / struggling Jackson).

Debating dropping Jimmy for Fields though.  It's a somewhat unique scoring system though, +1 per completion and -.5 per incompletion so high volume (and/or accurate) passers rule supreme.  

 
Early FBGs rankings hate Fields compared to yahoo and cbs but to be honest FBG rankings in app have been lazy all year. FBG app telling me to start Calvin Ridley this week. I generally wait for Blooms. The ones that are input on Tuesday seem to have been done weeks ago.

Same. Except I don’t even have Lawrence. Toilet bowl so not playing the best competition but gotta hope Lamar plays. 
 

i literally have zero other QBs 🤷

Lamar hasn't exactly been reliable or studly this year

It does seem the odds of him being effective against a top defense with ANY kind of running limitation...are low.

Cousins is my backup in a 16-team league, where good backups are taken on draft day. I was planning to play Cousins anyway, even though it's at the Bears, because I think the Packer defense is even better and Lamar has been struggling. BTW, the early forecast is for good weather in Chicago on MNF.

I’m ok with this being a sneaky shootout.  I’m considering playing Fields.

lots of moves to make it 9-5 and win division. I loved my draft and hated my team (CMC, AJB, Waller, DJM, Lamar, ETN we’re my 1-6 picks). 
 

So yes, in playoffs. And yes, lacking a good alternative

In playoffs.  6/12 make it, #3 seed.

Rolling with Tua (unless Jackson practices multiple times and sounds good to go before the weekend).

Um, Fields just tore up the Pack....1/2 Lamar should be okay

Did you watch the game? 100 passing yards and both TD were on short passes the wr housed. On one I thought it was a handoff to the receiver but it was deemed a pass.

It could have easily been  a 9 point day

Jimmy G vs Atl seems like a good match-up. Atlanta has a bad defense but is capable of scoring points with Patterson in the lineup. So Jimmy will have to do more than just hand off. He's been good recently. 2 TDs in 6 of the last 7 games.

And Baker just tested positive for COVID.....Case Keenum (can't believe I'm saying that) would also be an option. 

 
Lamar isn’t practicing today.  No surprise here.  Josh Johnson signed as well.  I bet he sits vs a non conference opponent.
