Week 16 Game Thread - Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 Viewer)

This game is turning into my worst nightmare. Jags up early, just keep giving the ball to MJD to eat the clock. Colts down and Peyton chucking TD's to Wayne. Blah.

On the Wayne TD, was that safety jumping another receiver or coming up because it looked like Peyton was running. Either way, what an idiot. Wayne was completely under control and then 1 TD pass in my league gets him 12 pts. I'm going against Wayne in both of my SB's.

Are there DBs in this game? Combined 25 for 27 passing for 305 yards and 2 tds.
Honestly...record check, please?
I think McNabb holds the individual record to start a game. 17 maybe?
Donovan McNabb of the Eagles, completed 24 consecutive passes, the last 10 against the Giants on November 28, 2004 and the 1st 14 against Green Bay on December 5, 2004. Joe Montana of the 49ers, completed 22 consecutive passes, the last 5 against the Browns on November 29, 1987 and the 1st 17 against Green Bay on December 6, 1987. The record in 1 game is 21 by Rich Gannon of the Raiders against Denver on November 11, 2002.

What was up with the official on the field goal who ran up to the line to push the Colt's D-lineman #99 to the side of the center so he wouldn't draw a penalty?

Don't think I've ever seen a ref go reposition players to keep them from committing a foul.

Anyone playing Peyton should be afraid right now. This Jags pass d is porous and they ain't going to be running it too much in the redzone anymore.

:lmao:

Wow, unless you are a Garrard owner or have money on Jax, this is going very poorly. I just happen to be facing Garrard and have money on Indy. Super!
If there is anyone that can lead a few quick scoring drives, it's Peyton. This game is far from over.
Yeah, I know, but I've spread myself too thin and have too many irons in the fire. In one championship game, I face Garrard and Wayne. In two others, I have MoJo. I have money on the Colts and the over. So I'm sitting here now rooting for the Colts to put up some points, but not Wayne. And I'm rooting for MoJo to get a rushing TD, but only if the Colts can tack on another 20-21 points. My wife and dogs think I am insane. They are probably right. But I keep coming back for more!

I've seen that before.I think it is a courtesy / safety thing - you cannot bull rush the center / long snapper on a FG try. They don't want him getting hurt.

Thanks! What is your source? The McNabb game I'm thinking of was this year, but I wasn't counting completions over two games. I can't remember which game it was.

Wikipedia too.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donovan_McNabb

they are right about carr! who would have thought. good thing sacks aren't incompletions

Wow. After a poor start and that long drive by Jacksonville, I was afraid of a poor night for Peyton. But now I'm hopeful we'll end up with his best game of the year. Outstanding! The FF gods love me.

Bad spot of the ball on the play to Rhodes down to the 9. Marked at the 10 instead and that's an extra 2 pts. Ugh.

That's incredible.

The OP by Jeff said this was Peyton vs. Maurice, and that's really what we've been seeing. Two great athletes giving us their best performance.
