If you were an NFL Head Coach in his spot, what would you do with key starters for Week 17?

Depends on situation. Assuming I have the bye, I’m playing them at least a half and possibly longer. Three weeks between games is too much imo.

If I didn’t have the bye and was locked in I’d probably think harder about full rest.

Duckboy brings up a great point. I think if you're Andy Reid, you play them for a half. If you don't have the bye, then you sit them the whole time.

If I'm Reid there's no way I'm trotting out Mahomes behind that injured and struggling oline in a meaningless game against a division opponent who always gets up for this matchup. Kelce and Hill should sit as well.

The Steelers have not had a bye week since being forced one in week 4, and had to play 3 games in 12 days recently. I would be resting all starters, no questions asked. Their D is decimated with injuries at the LB position, so why risk more?

The Bills are rolling heading into playoffs so I could see them wanting to get some starters in. Problem is, they'll be facing a division opponent in a must win. Miami's D is ferocious at times. I would tread carefully here and sit most of the starters.

NFC is wide open, and that bye week is a must to play for. It's all hands on deck, even TB. If I'm the Arians, everyone plays to ensure that 5 spot to face the NFC East survivor.
