Week 17 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

I'm inexplicably in a league championship game where my starters at WR were Anthony Armstrong and Andre Caldwell. Meanwhile, my opposition fielded Jerome Simpson, Nate Burleson and Danario Alexander.

Despite all of the above wackiness, we're the top scorers in our 20-team league this week.

Can my meager 2-point lead hold up against the almighty Danario?

Probably not... but there's always a chance he hurts himself again. <fingers crossed>

Tried for the miracle comeback, but alas finished #12 or so overall in the ESPN Gridiron Challenge :bag:

Still a helluva run though :lmao:

I needed 4 yards from stephen jackson in the 4th quarter and didn't get it...how do you let your rookie qb throw it 40 times

Actually managed to win this game thanks to Danario's 14 receiving yards only to have a crooked Commish manipulate my roster to swap Hillis (whom I benched) in to my active lineup for Bradshaw in order for his cousin to win the league title. This was my first league win in 5 championship games and it's a real shame to have it tarnished this way.

There are people in the FFA who could handle these types of situations for you. Just sayin'. -QG

No worries... it's not like this was a money league or anything. In retrospect, I think he may have doctored the semifinal contest that got his cousin to the finals in the first place as I recall seeing his opponent out in front after the game ended on Tuesday night only for it to change shortly thereafter. I'd chalked that up to some NFL/ESPN scoring adjustment but it may well have been a similar instance of roster manipulation.

Started week 17 with 40 point lead. Started Calvin and Ivory today and lost my total points championship by 10 points. 1000 dollars.

Lost the championship with 0:55 seconds left in the season when J.Witten scored.

Also started Calvin Johnson over S.Holmes and J.Ford. Thanks a lot, Schwartz.

My scores at the end of the season in a 12 team league.

Week 8: 116.3 (1st)

Week 9: 120.3 (1st)

Week 10: 92.5 (5th)

Week 11: 100.1 (4th)

Week 12: 91.8 (3rd)

Week 13: 91.4 (2nd)

Week 14: 55.6 (10th)

Week 15: 96.3 (3rd - 1st among playoff teams)

Week 16: 110.5 (1st)

Guess which week the playoffs started. I lost to the eventual champions 75.2 to 55.6. The same team I beat in week 5 100.0 to 54.3 and outscored by 200 points during the regular season.

I heard Calvin Johnson warmed up and was ready to go. I replaced J Simpson with CJ since I knew nothing about Simpson. I was battling for 4th place and $150 in my all points league. With Simpson I would have won 4th place. With Johnson I ended up in 6th. I hate the Lions but cannot wait for next FF season.
