Week 2 Actives & Inactives -- discussion (1 Viewer)

News-based threads for individual players were useful before everyone could find info on a player by searching Twitter or Google News.

We'll do things a bit differently this time. Let's consolidate all the individual threads into one, and let's open up the discussion from mere news updates to evaluation of which players may be limited even if they play, how one player's absence will affect another player's prospects, etc.

Still, though, make sure that your comments are applicable to fantasy football generally, and are not simply about your own team or your own situation.

Fantasy-worthy players who are listed as questionable or doubtful this week:

1pm - Arian Foster [Q] - RB, MIA - Active
1pm - Breshad Perriman [Q] - WR, BAL - Active
1pm - Chris Hogan [Q] - WR, NE - Active

Demaryius Thomas has a terrific matchup, but his hip injury is scaring me off of him where I have good alternatives.

He's expected to play, but how effective will he be? Let's see how he looks in warm-ups...

I like this format--the front page of the forum isn't cluttered with 30 threads.

Gronk is out, from reports on NFL network.

Not injury-related, but looks like Ajayi will be active. With Foster's well-documented injury history, don't rule Ajayi out in that backfield.

Two thumbs up on combining to one thread and reducing the clutter on page 1.  Maybe two threads for 1pm and 4pm games but I like the responsiveness to concerns expressed last week.

Thanks!

Like the combined thread idea.  I think a good idea would be to occasionally post the guys who are 'out' as the most recent post.  Keep a running tally of the players officially out.

Far superior. You could tell with one glance on the main page where your player stood, now you got to click on this thread and scroll down for the latest.

If a player is a late scratch do we have to keep going into this thread to see if there is an update?

Yeah I liked the idea someone put out that we do exactly what we're doing in here, but by specific position in 4 or 5 stickied threads.

All these positions overload my brain sorting if I look too quickly. I think doing specific positions fulfills a happy medium between old and new styles, more organized, and cuts down on the millions stickies of last week.
