Week 2 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

According to the game thread, Ben Utecht has an injury for Cincy. Can anyone confirm the injury and what type it is?

Jason Taylor leg injury, leaving the game.

Walked to the locker room, wasn't limping.

OT fell against the side of his sprained right knee.

It looked like the kind of play that either knocks the wind out of you or bruises your sternum. Got hit hard in the chest while running across the middle.

Looks like Fargas (OAK) just injured his groin. Was running a route, and pulled up suddenly, holding that general area.

Walking, gingerly, off the field now.

Jason Taylor back in the game.Should I go pick up Michael Bush?
fargas will miss some time, i think. his reaction made it look like a tear. bush may see some regular action now but last week they used mcfadden on all the third and shorts... just fyi

What exactly does a "tear reaction" look like????

Carson Palmer limping. Looks like left knee. Halftime now, so his prognosis should be known when they come out of the locker room.
I believe he's ok. Coaches were checking on him walking to the locker room at the half and seems from body language he was telling them he's ok.We'll see 2nd half, but didn't look like any big deal.

Carson Palmer came up limping after getting tangled with a Titans defensive lineman at the end of the second quarter Sunday.Palmer was able to walk to the locker room, but it's worth nothing that he was favoring his right side. He sprained the MCL and ACL in his left knee back in 2006.

FWIW, I know exactly what he means - and its that type of comment by a poster able to watch the game that often means the most early on in these things.I didnt see it happen but saw fargas gingerly walk off the field... if its a groin anything, that could be trouble for the whole season. I remember when Fred Taylor tore his, and while it apparantly was pretty damn bad an injury, he was only expected to be out a few weeks, then a couple more weeks, then any week - next thing you knew it was week 16.

I am no doctor, but you could tell it was a groin injury the second it happened. He went to accelerate, took a step and then just went straight down without any contact. It didn't look good at all.

Either way he just lost his job. McFadden is going to Peterson's record.

i didn't say it was a tear. i didn't say he's done. i just noted that his reaction looked similar to other tear injuries i've seen. unlike injuries to joints, groin and hammy tear injuries are a little easier to spot by the athletes reaction. just sayin...

MJD hopped off the field with an apparent ankle injury. I was scared to death it might've been broken the way he was hopping, but they've got his foot in an ice bucket on the sidelines with no sign of a cart or going inside for x-rays.

1-10-50 (1:33) R.Grant right end to GB 47 for -3 yards (I.Alama-Francis). DET-E.Sims was injured during the play.

Sims is being escorted off the field very slowly.

If he held his groin its peanut damage or a tear. But a tear come in a hundred varieties including little strain, slight pull, major rip, etc.. It doesn't mean he won't be at full strength next week.
