Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets (1 Viewer)

DeShawn Wynn
Rookie RB DeShawn Wynn ran ten times for 50 yards and two touchdowns as the Packers downed the Giants 35-13 in Week 2. He had two catches for 18 yards.
derrick anderson, won't be that good again...its usually the case w/ these spot QBs, they get in and the D has no tape on him, so the QB does great...next week...he wont

Anderson yes, Wynn no.

If I was dipping into the GB well, James Jones is starting to be a factor.

That's about it so far...

Roydell Williams? Guy looked good today. Could he and VY develop something as the season goes on?

what kind of leagues are these guys available in ...

guess i am too used to deep dynasty type leagues where ever single one of these guys are on a roster

Certainly if you got room pick up Wynn - but really:

10 carries for 50 yards with a long of 38

yards gained on each carry in order

5

3

0

0

-5

6

-1

-1

5

38

5 for 0 or less

5 for gains

Any of these late game guys worth a look?

M.Moore 6/50/0 & 2/11/0 so far

J.Fargas 5/10/0 so far

C.Sapp 1/4/1 so far

Thank you for your token weekly, "I'm in the toughest league ever and the 4th string running back from GB was gone in the 3rd round" post.Plenty of people playing in restricted roster, 8 and 10 team leagues and are quite content and intelligent. Climb off your high horse, contribute or quit polluting the thread.

im in a 14 team league, 18 man rosters...we have been playing for 11 years...and wynn and anderson are still available.

and of those 2 i say go w/ wynn.

 Quite tired of hearing this BS too. I'm in a 12 man league with limited bench space and a few of these guys are still on the wire. Let me try to be tough too - Sanboy, I wish you were in my league. If you had these guys rostered already you probably skipped some gems in the draft.

JT O'Sullivan, depending on how long Kitna is out. Detroit still has the WR and system to put up some points.

Wynn - any time you can grab a possible starting RB it's worth the risk

O'Sullivan - Kitna looks fine (has been jumping around and such) and looks like he's out for precaution, but Sullivan looks good and the Detroit WR core is sick.

Shaun McDonald - he's good, involved in a ton of 4 wide sets, and often sees one of the weaker cover guys on him.

No's:

Mewelde Moore - all his yards came in garbage, end of the half prevent runs.

Boller - lots of better options

Derek Anderson - I don't know how he did it, but I doubt he'll do it again.

What do you guys think of Dayne? He's available in my 12 team league, 18 carries, didn't do much with them. Would drop Crayton.

D.Bowe just had a 2nd TD nulified by penalty...not that I'd recommend anyone hitching their wagon to the KC passing attack. However, the guy was a 1st round pick

Someone in my league just dropped J. Cotchery to get Shaun McDonald; therefore, I am really considering picking up Cotchery!

I can one up that. Last week we had someone drop both Cadillac Williams AND Mark Clayton for Roscoe Parrish and Bobby Engram. I only managed to grab Clayton, someone with a higher waiver got Cadillac. :own3d:

The Dolphin D are officially on the wire after today - you can have 'em :lmao:
I think the Dolphins DEF were overrated this year per usual, but they faced a heckuva offense today. They will probably end up somewhere in the 10-15 range.
The Dallas offense has played so well that I am going to pick up Folk and drop Mare (he missed another FG this week so I have already had enough of him). I think the kicker could put up huge numbers in Dallas this year and be the Rackers of '05, and Gould of '06.

Is Engram still available in your leagues?
3 of my 6 - the ones with 14/15 player roster limits have good WW fodder. In one league, out of necessity for injury replacement, I have seen other teams drop Michael Turner and Selvin Young. There are all types of reasons why decent players are on WWs.

Giants #3....Moss/Mix?? No big deal I guess.
Toomer, if he' is still on your wire. The Giants lost (the other) Steve Smith and Plax was gimpy on his surgically repaired ankle.
:thumbup:I targeted Toomer in all my leagues, got him in three, and he was drafted by others in the remaining leagues. In one league, I am seriously considering making Toomer my STARTER over Lee F'in Evans. At least I am fairly certain to get *some* yardage and receptions.

What do you guys think of Dayne? He's available in my 12 team league, 18 carries, didn't do much with them. Would drop Crayton.
WDI p/u doesn't fly, but this one's a freebie (it's a simple cut and paste from every Ron Dayne thread ever)do not pick up Ron Dayne.

No's:Mewelde Moore - all his yards came in garbage, end of the half prevent runs. Boller - lots of better optionsDerek Anderson - I don't know how he did it, but I doubt he'll do it again.
Gotta strongly disagree for these reasons:MMoore - PPR leagues, he could be decent, even after CT comes back.Boller - maybe, depends on how desperate you are for a QBAnderson will have loads of garbage tome to accumulate stats and he has a great group of weapons - he's a matchup play for teams desperate at QB.You diss Boller and Anderson, but advocate picking up Kitna's backup? Only if you HAVE Kitna would you do that.

You might want to do more than just consider it.
Normally I would have immediately jumped on Cotchery; however, I have a 16 man roster & cannot think of dropping anyone on my team for him (unless you recommend I drop someone from my roster for Cotchery).10 team/non-ppr/standard scoring

Roster

C. Palmer, J. Campbell, F. Gore, E. James, Thomas Jones, D. McAllister, M. Lynch, Chester Taylor, D. Branch, J. Galloway, C. Chambers, S. Holmes, E. Johnson, J. Hanson, Bears D, Packers D

Well, depending on the AJ news, alot of 10-12 team leagues should still have Jacoby Jones WR Hou on the WW, I assume he becomes the #1 IF AJ is out at all? Owen Daniels might benefit more than anyone.

my apology .. yes there are many shallow leagues ( as you said 8 - 10 ) team leagues where guys like this are available

I thought this was a DYNASTY type post .. and for that i apologize ..

in a deep dynasty league .. i think most would agree these names have been rostered for a long time .... but as was said above in a REDRAFT - 8 , or 12 team roster size restricted .. this post is a great help

I coudl see how it would be hard to understand if you have not played in a year round deep league --- as it is hard for me to understand playing in a 8 team redraft .. drifferent strokes for different folks ...

continue on boys ...

good luck to all

***** DEEP WAIVER MATERIAL ( for the season not so much just week # 2 )

WR-PAUL WILLIAMS - TENN

RB-PIERRE THOMAS - N.O

QB-TYLER PALKO

What I think is funny is that you've decided the value of people's experience. I play in a pretty complicated dynasty auction league, but my big dollar league is a 10 team re-draft with 2 keepers that's been around for 15 years.I'd put my knowledge (and my member number) up against anyone. The point is that if you don't have something positive to contribute, and you eventually did, please spare all of us the "my league has 75 roster spots discussion. I would bet with confidence that 90% of the folks on here don't play that style of league...I, for one, am no longer able to spend the entire day watching every game and find the insight of my fellow fbg members to be valuable and insightful. Everyone keep it up, post the obvious, you might hook someone up...and good luck to Sanboy, I don't know why you'd even bother looking at these type of posts if the best options are 6 string WR's still available...

If Crayton's finger is going to be a nagging injury, I'll certainly look into dumping his #### to get

1) Roydell Williams

2) Bobby Engram

With Minnesota looking to be the real thing, I'll get rid of the Eagles that I had stashed for Mnday night and gun for a backup QB - Jeff Garcia as backup to Jay Cutler.

I'm also seriously thinking of dumping akers for Folk just cause I won't have to bother scouring the waiver wire for a K till Week 9.
