Week 3 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Per RW - Redskins TE Jordan Reed exited Sunday's Week 3 game against the Lions with a knee contusion and is questionable to return.

The vibes were so great with Spiller in the preseason. He looked incredible and his coach said they would run him "until he pukes."

Too good to be true.

Hope he's not seriously hurt. Fun player to watch.

Forte slow to get up but walked off under his own power, being checked out on the sidelines

UPDATE: Had has ankle wrapped up and is back on the field.

One of the best parts of having a paid subscription to Footballguys is receiving emails about injuries. These have saved me time and time again, sometimes just minutes before kickoff. I depend on these emails and on this forum, for the most up to date news.

But- it failed today. In the case of Daryl Richardson, nobody seemed to know that he had been scratched. There was one post concerned with a hurt foot from earlier in the week, but that was all: every other indication was that he would be starting. I still don't know if that was the reason for the scratch. I am in two fantasy football leagues, and in both of them I started D. Richardson. That lost me one game today, and nearly lost the other.

I am not blaming FBG or anyone else: as I wrote, you guys do a tremendous job. But I would like to know: how exactly did it happen that nobody knew about this? And is there any way to prevent this from happening in the future?

I don't believe he was scratched. Rotoworld says he started the game and got his foot stepped on during the first snap---so he was on the field for one play before having to exit.

Thank you. I didn't know this. I tried to find out all day but couldn't learn anything.

I just re-watched the first series. It went like this:

1st down - Tavon Austin lined up as RB, hand off to him

2nd down - Richardson comes in, runs a route, no contact

3rd down - Richardson pass blocks, gets caught up in the wash of the OL/DL. * this is probably where he got dinged

4th down - punt/muffed by Dallas

1st down - Rams run to Bennie Cunningham. Richardson never seen again

To elaborate on that here's this account.

It happened after a night of partying in Washington D.C. celebrating Bryant McKinnie's birthday.Sources at the scene tell us ... at about 3 AM, as people were leaving Opera Ultra Lounge, people on the bus began fighting. In addition to teammates, we're told at least one stripper was on board.

One eyewitness tells us he saw a bottle being swung at Jacoby Jones -- it connected with his head and hurt him. We're told an ambulance was called "for a bleeding male" but he was not taken to the hospital.

Our sources say a stripper named Sweet Pea is the one who hit Jacoby with a gigantic Ace of Spades bottle and this may have triggered the brawl. We're told the bottle smashed over his head and he was "bleeding everywhere."
