Week 3: Waiver Wire Pickups (1 Viewer)

Brandon Jackson's been all the talk this week amongst the WW pickups. Who will be the WW heroes for next week as you look into your crystal ball?

I know Yudkin's not a believer, but my vote's going to: Benjarvus Green-Ellis

Greg Camarillo could become Favre's go to guy and there will be a mad rush to the WW after this weeks game

:goodposting: I think Camarillo will have a HUGE game albeit in a losing effort where the Vikings have to play catch up and rack up a ton of yards.

The Panthers home against Tampa, LaFell moved to Questionable on the sick list ... I'll take Dwayne Jarrett for $200 Alex.

Good chance that he is out there in re-draft and maybe some smaller dynasty formats.

#2WRs usually are not good bets on run heavy teams (Carolina had 3rd most rushing attempts in 2009) . . .

Jordan Shipley in Cinci. Longhorn homer, so I watched this guy every Saturday. Hasn't taken a spot on my roster yet, but this guy knows how to run a route. TO and 85 should be getting enough attention to free up a lot of space for him.

Anthony Armstrong

80yds + 1 TD this week will have his stock rising. He had 2 red zone targets last week.

I think Gresham is the play in Cincy. Shipley should have a decent rookie year, but I like Gresham better.

In small leagues - Vincent Jackson (if not owned already)

Leon Washington

Jordan Shipley

Random Bear WR (in league where not owned already)

I'll add Brandon Tate as well. I believe Pats are grooming him to takeover for Moss. He has been on the field a bunch. I've been all over him.

I believe another good pickup that is on most waiver wires is Davone Bess. Multiple reports that Hartline is a disappointment at WR2, and he has been getting good looks.

DYK: Davone Bess had 76 catches last year. That was good enough for 4th all time on the single season reception list in Dolphins history. Trivia: Can you name the person with the most receptions in a season in Dolphins history?

Agreed. Carson Palmer was always pretty good at getting the ball to #3 WRs, as evidenced with the late Chris Henry (R.I.P. Chris) and Andre Caldwell. Though he isn't as physically gifted as Henry was, Shipley will put up several good games this year. I like Davone Bess as well.

My ranking

1.Greg Camarillo (Favre rings his number. A lot)

2.Stephen Williams (4 to 5 receptions plus yardage)

3.Bernard Scott (assuming he is still available even now)

4.Brandon Tate (though as a Moss owner, I hope I am wrong)

5.Jason Avant (was Vick's security blanket in week 1, getting targets in bunches)

6.Harry Douglas (scores this week)

Assuming he is traded:

Marshawn Lynch

Edit: Added Camarillo - who I was coming in to post and then :lmao: left off my list.

Louis Murphy....He almost had 2TD last week......Campbell can throw down field.....Playing the Rams this week....Very little competition for targets.....A big game this week and he will set the wire on fire....

Almost? Dropped, out of bounds...?

Mike Tolbert is a Mathews injury away from RB2 value. They won't ride Sproles.

Keiland Williams will eventually have value question is when.

Jimmy Graham may not happen until 2011 but eventually he'll get on the field and never look back.

James Starks is a great stash but may or may not get healthy enough to claim it.

Tate, Law Firm, Scott, and Maroney are obvious stashes.
