Week 3: Waiver Wire Pickups (1 Viewer)

Brandon Jackson's been all the talk this week amongst the WW pickups. Who will be the WW heroes for next week as you look into your crystal ball?I know Yudkin's not a believer, but my vote's going to: Benjarvus Green-Ellis
Hope your right I grabbed him for $2 this week

Louis Murphy....He almost had 2TD last week......Campbell can throw down field.....Playing the Rams this week....Very little competition for targets.....A big game this week and he will set the wire on fire....
Almost? Dropped, out of bounds...?
Murphy showcased his playmaking skills, but showed that his hands need a lot of work. He could have had two touchdown receptions, as he got himself wide open a couple of times, and Campbell got him the ball, but he couldn't pull it in.

Doesn't sound like someone I'd want to target.

Troy Smith

Dropped some garbage off my bench for him in 2 leagues...

New Orleans will stomp on 49'ers on National TV Monday Night Football

Alex Smith inabilities will be exposed and will be walking off the field with his head down. Singletary will have to watch tape and "reevaluate"...

Enters Troy Smith Week 3-4

WR - Harry Douglas

RB - Green-Ellis

QB - No one really stands out atm, but I love that Troy Smith conspiracy

TE - Beckum, Moeaki

DEF - Seattle

David Carr is SF's backup QB BTW.

Dexter McCluster. He'll start to be used like Percy Harvin and still listed as a WR.
I agree with this.I think Haley is going to try to put the ball more in his hands beyond special teams - the kid is clearly a playmaker. And if Cassel continues to struggle, quick outs/slants to Dexter may be a good way to move the ball down the field.

The only RBs listed so far that havent been picked up inmy 12 team league are the STL RBs. Is this the Week2 thread?

RB- Does Danny Woodhead further cloud the NE backfield situation? He's a guy to keep an eye on.

NE just added him to mine for info because they are playing the Jets. He'll never see the field unless he plays special teams. It doesn't change the backfield situation this week one bit.

I'm not saying this week. Later in the season when Morris or Taylor gets hurt.

Dexter vs Cribbs today s/b fun.

I'll take a flyer here on Patrick Crayton. Settled in and starts to move up the Depth Chart ladder.

im gonna say donald brown in indy.
Why would he be available in anything thing but 10 team leagues?
because alot of leagues are not filled with people who know a ton about fantasy football, also, he had one touch on the football last week and should be incoorperated more this week if the colts aren't playing catchup again. not to mention one of the leagues im in has a roster limit of 4 RB, so he was available. instead of wasting time and post space trying to be a "smart ###", try sticking to the topic and putting a solid opinion down on who you think is going to have a good to great week 2 performance. kthxbye

Freeman might be the guy. Cadillac is not getting it done. Something has to give in Tampa ..... just a matter of time.

Mike Tolbert is a Mathews injury away from RB2 value. They won't ride Sproles.Tate, Law Firm, Scott, and Maroney are obvious stashes.
Tolbert just scored a TD...maybe he's a guy.

seriously thinking of dumping jerome harrison and marion barber for snelling and mike tolbert. both harrison and barber have shown me nothing.

Well Mathews just jogged back onto the field so he could be ok...but I stick by what I said about Tolbert. The guy is looking just like Marion Butts from back in the day!

Something tells me that Devin Hester will have a big game.
You should rarely listen to something. Something hardly ever knows what he's talking about.
No one predicted Snelling, who is going to be heavily claimed.
Don't think Turners injury is to serious and the game was already in hand by ATL
There is much more to this.Groins are tricky for RBs. It may not be serious, but Turner owners are definitely going to be looking for insurance if they don't have it, and Snelling had a performance that puts him on the radar -- and I'd wager he's available in a lot of leagues. As a non-Turner owner, I'd be looking to pick him up to see what the Turner owner in my league is willing to trade.

now i'm thinking i may go with snelling over tolbert with mathews back.

Snelling

Tolbert

Hill

Pettigrew

Green-Ellis

Kuhn (and maybe Nance -- BJax was lackluster, although it's contingent on the Packers not making a trade)

I'll add Brandon Tate as well. I believe Pats are grooming him to takeover for Moss. He has been on the field a bunch. I've been all over him.I believe another good pickup that is on most waiver wires is Davone Bess. Multiple reports that Hartline is a disappointment at WR2, and he has been getting good looks.DYK: Davone Bess had 76 catches last year. That was good enough for 4th all time on the single season reception list in Dolphins history. Trivia: Can you name the person with the most receptions in a season in Dolphins history?
Sounds like kind of a trick question, so without looking my guess would be McDuffie.
