He's the 8th WR in my PPR leagueThe #1 WR in fantasy football after two weeks is going to be on 90% of waiver wires.
Don't you just love ppr. Making scrubs into viable starters since the inception of FF.He's the 8th WR in my PPR leagueThe #1 WR in fantasy football after two weeks is going to be on 90% of waiver wires.
He has the most receiving TDs in the league with 5. In non-PPR I bet he is higher than 8th.Don't you just love ppr. Making scrubs into viable starters since the inception of FF.He's the 8th WR in my PPR leagueThe #1 WR in fantasy football after two weeks is going to be on 90% of waiver wires.
Hear that? That is the sound of the point going over your head. I'd bet there is a scrub ahead of him.He has the most receiving TDs in the league with 5. Not much.......Ryan's arm is going to be sore from all the passes he'll be throwing. From what I've seen Rodgers in PPR and Snelling in standard but don't expect much.So what should be expected from Snelling and JQuiz if Steven Jackson is out for the next couple of weeks?
Being the #1 option doesn't always mean you will have the #1 corner covering. Royal will probably be playing out of the slot as usual I would think. Probably get some more coverage but should also get more targets. Overall I see it as a push to 10% downside risk if he continues to be a featured reciever. After 2 games and Floyds injury I am now figuring Royal for 112 targets (low) to 138 (high) with the high number if Flyod misses more than # weeks.I have White and now Jackson hurt in my standard league non-ppr. On the waiver I can add Starks or Royal. I have the 2nd slot in the waiver. Who should I pick or is it even worth wasting my time? Starks will probably see 1-2 games and it looks like Royal will be the number one guy due to injuries. Obviously I'm not expecting him to continue his crazy touchdown rate but he does seem to be a different player in SD. Does this help or hurt his chances since he will have the CB1 covering him now?

Also have the #1 WW position but I don't want to spend it on Stark (despite the fact that I have an injured Steven Jackson and all fliers after that).Insein said:I'm avoiding starks this week. I have the #1 ww position and I just can't see wasting it on what is most likely a fluke game. With Lacy probably coming back week 5, it just seems a bit pricey to chase after him.
Eddie Royal has intrigued me since the beginning of the year though. Wish I would have grabbed him before week 1 like I wanted to. Can't tell if this is a fluke or a Brandon Lloyd type comeback.
That's the problem. Can't see it either. Also have the #1 WW position but I don't want to spend it on Stark (despite the fact that I have an injured Steven Jackson and all fliers after that).Insein said:I'm avoiding starks this week. However, I don't know who I would eventually spend it on if I am waiting for the next big running back with great opportunity. I feel like all of the talented backups like Tate, Pierce, Michael, etc. are already rostered. It'd have to be someone who really comes out of nowhere that has slipped the many cracks.
That's why as a guy extremely weak at TE (Allen and Dickson), I'm going to use my #3 waiver on Charles Clay. Every notable backup and some 3rd strings are all rostered. Also have the #1 WW position but I don't want to spend it on Stark (despite the fact that I have an injured Steven Jackson and all fliers after that).Insein said:I'm avoiding starks this week. I disagree but only slightly. Moreno by a wide margin and then I'd put Starks ahead of Royal. I expect Royal's production to dramatically decrease if he starts seeing coverage from teams with defenses.moreno>royal>starks
is this the consensus?
Dropping Vincent Brown for him, watch this backfire...I am #2 on priority and won't sweat it if I'm stuck with Brown instead.Eddie Royal:
Is tied (with Gates) for the team lead with 14 targets
Has Phillip Rivers looking his way, often in the redzone often
Is on a team where no other WRs have stepped up their game (I'm looking at you, Vincent Brown)
Is on a team that lost a WR due to a neck injury (Floyd) who will probably be out for awhile
Is on a team that doesn't run the ball properly or utilizes running backs properly
Is on a team that will more than likely require the offense to continue putting points on the board due to a shaky defense
Is capable of catching 90+ balls a year (has done it before)
Everything is pointing up for this kid. Everyone can agree that he won't put up multiple touchdown games every week, however he WILL be a big part of the passing game this year.
At least a few weeks? Possibly only one week, where they play Cincy. But then GB has a bye, and it is quite possible (likely?) Lacy will be back in week 5. That would be one week of Starks getting the most work.I disagree but only slightly. Moreno by a wide margin and then I'd put Starks ahead of Royal. Starks will be viable for at least a few weeks until Lacy gets back and outside of a few backs the RB position has not delivered so far this year. If Starks gets the majority of the carries for even a few weeks it would be hard for him not to crack a few starting lineups.
Since Gresham still appeared to be in the Mix, Clay seems to be the better bet there, IMO.both Eifert & Clay are there on my wire. Was initially thinking Eifert, but might be switching my focus to Clay...thoughts?
I would rather pick up Natrone MeansBrandon Jacobs, Da'rel Scott and Michael Cox

I'm already making room on my bench in leagues where I own MJD. Didn't feel a need till this week.Don't forget the little "no-name" runningback Jordan Todman. He more than likely will not make a big splash this week agaist Seattle but he CERTAINLY has the pedigree to be something special.... worst case scenario in a PPR League ...especially if MJD goes down for a long period of time. He is only 22 or 23 years old.
Irrelevant in a vacuum - more valuable for your team is different .... and I will answer in the ACI know people panic and over react. But wasn't Pryor like a popular pick after week 1? Someone just dropped these players in my league:
Pryor
A Roberts
E Sanders
E. Royal
Starks
Moreno
are also available in my league. Who do you guys think has more value going forward?
I'd probably go Ellington. Rodgers and Snelling will eat into each others touches. Bolden is a close second.Which WW back will likely have more value for the rest of the season?
J.Snelling (ATL)
J.Rodgers (ATL)
A.Ellington (ARI)
B.Bolden (NEP)
I have Fleener avail with Cook and Bennett also out there (TE and WR are mixed together in this league). Would you guys put Fleener that hight? On the news of Dwayne Allen being out for the season, I'm bumping Fleener up to #1 on my waiver wire order.
Cook and Bennett should not be available in most standard bench leagues. Fleener is particularly high because I happen to be a frustrated Gronk owner and Celek nor Clark are working out for me.I have Fleener avail with Cook and Bennett also out there (TE and WR are mixed together in this league). I have suffered through 2 weeks of Fred Davis, dumped him for Clay - as I await the arrival of Gronk. I like the HB aspect of Clay and the number of touches he is getting. At this point i think Clay has the higher upside with Eifert clearly sharing with Gresham.both Eifert & Clay are there on my wire. Was initially thinking Eifert, but might be switching my focus to Clay...thoughts?
So you wanted ER, and now that you didn't get him you are rationalizing that Brown will get his?So some goober wasted a #1 waiver on Eddie Royal, so I'm back on the Vincent Brown bandwagon. I'd see if anyone bailed on him after week 1 and 2.
With Malcom Floyd guaranteed to be out for awhile, SD clearly will alter their gameplan from the very start to have packages for Brown. That, combined with defenses wanting to take out the only two playmakers on the offense (Gates/Royal) Brown should see quite a few targets this week.
He's now in game 3 coming off his ACL injury and I figure its time for him to break out. If he doesn't get at least 8 targets I'l consider him an all-out bust this year.
