Week 4 waiver wire pickups (2 Viewers)

I want to scoop up Bolden, but not sure who to drop.

My bench: MWilliams, Givens, RWhite, Ball, Hunter (Gore owner), PThomas, Fleener

LeVeon Bell was dropped in my league. Is he a must add? He's out there, as well as Powell.
If powell is out there jump on that. He's far from elite but he has opportunity and the jets oline looks to be good. Ivory looks to be out for a few weeks. Powell could have some production in that time.

Preemptive Adds:

Lance Dunabar - Dunbar needs to get his fumbling issue corrected, but I think he could be a nice PPR add, and given Murray's history, Dunbar could eventually be more than just a third-down receiving back. Prior to his preseason injury, Dunbar looked fantastic. I suspect Dunbar is on many waiver wires, and if you want to get him cheaply, now is the time to act.

CJ Anderson - Denver needs a back who can reliably pound the ball into a defense. Neither Moreno nor Hillman fit the bill, and Ball may not be able to be trusted. It is a crowded backfield, and Anderson has done nothing yet, but he is at least a speculative add in deep leagues. Denver should have ample opportunity to run out the clock in games, and they do not want a repeat of last year's playoff game against the Ravens.

Keenan Allen - Allen has done nothing to distinguish himself yet, but if the light finally comes on for Allen, I expect him to be the Chargers WR to own.

Terrance Williams - We have been through this before with Miles Austin. We may get an extended look at the rookie this week, and if he performs well, he could be a top free agent target next week.

Mike Goodson - Goodson is nearing the end of his 4-game suspension. Ivory is struggling with injuries. Bilal Powell looks like the back I had seen footage of at Louisville, but Goodson could make a run at the starting gig. Goodson is one of the more talented backup RBs in the league.

Dion Sims - Sims caught his first NFL pass for a TD this past week, a beautiful one-handed, over-the-shoulder grab. Sims is not in the mold of the fast, athletic TEs who are trending at the moment, but he could be a reliable red zone threat. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap2000000248769/Sims-hauls-in-game-winning-touchdown

Broyles is this weeks number 1 WW priority in all leagues.
Maybe in redraft leagues, but not in dynasty leagues. He's on a roster in every one of my dynasty leagues.

This website needs a separate forum for Fourth String Denver Running Backs Who Get Way Too Much Hype And Never Make A Fantasy Impact. There's at least one every year.

Ball. 2 fumbles, 3 (4?) RBs on the Denver roster and they are a passing team. I own both Ball and Bolden fwiw.
I have a tougher decision ... Drop McGhee for Bolden

I picked him up last week in 2 of my 4 leagues.
Must be shallow roster leagues then, because he's not available in all 10 of my dynasty leagues, all of which have anywhere from 22 to 26 man rosters.

That is tougher, but I say yes. I think Bolden's value in PPR will be very consistent over the next 2 months. McGahee might score an occasional TD here and there but there will be a lot of 12 carry, 30 yard Sundays.

Oddly, I own Bolden, McGahee, and Ball. Also, my team blows. Hard.

Can I make this my sig? You should go outside sometimes. The weather is nice this time of year.

ETA: Went ahead and sigged it up. Thanks, bro. :moneybag:

Yeah, so far he is nothing but Forum Board hype, and, as I say, he is a speculative add in deep leagues. Nevertheless, for owners who are RB needy, he is someone to keep an eye on. Undoubtedly, this is a full blown RBBC situation, so weekly value is hard enough to gauge already; adding a fourth spoke in the wheel only makes it that much more murky.

How is this thread 3 pages long and yet to have any mention of Heath Miller?

Last season he put up 71 rec, 800 yards and 8 TDs and finished as TE4... he looked decent playing on limited time this weekend.

This week he plays the Vikings who so far have let TEs post the following games through three weeks:

Week 1: 27 yards, 1 TD

Week 2: 76 yards, 2 TDs

Week 3: 66 yards, 3 TDs

So through 3 weeks they've allowed 169 yards and 6 TDs to Tight Ends.

26 man rosters? Surprised there's anyone on your wire at all. Colt McCoy might even have a home in a league like that.

Curious why you even come into a thread like this, knowing that no one is going to list a player that isn't rostered in your league. For instance, Lance Dunbar was mentioned in this thread. Currently available in each of my three leagues. I'm positive a player like that is on a roster in your league. I just can't fathom what player you'll hear about in here that isn't rostered in yours

Agreed, while I play in plenty of dynasty leagues. I feel like these threads need to be re-titled as "Week 4 Redraft Waiver Wire Pickups". Cause 99% of the people in here are looking at redraft options not dynasty options. People who play in deep deep dynasty leagues come in here every week and say "Haha... how could he be available?". Well when you're playing 14 team 26 man roster leagues then yeah, most people aren't. I don't come to this thread looking for pickups in my 45 man roster 16 team dynasty league... that'd be ridiculous.

Miller > Jared Cook???

Great info...thanks!

I'm confused... are you trolling? Asking for advice? Why do you keep comparing players that aren't even mentioned in the posts you're talking about?

uhh...yea asking for advice on the post...didn't know there was a protocol to doing so!

To answer your posts then... yeah I'd say Miller > Cook. And Broyles > Streeter by a large margin.

:goodposting: Well done.

Not in ppr, but in distance scoring leagues (and ones that also count returns) I'd think Ted Ginn Jr. is worth an add. He's never done it before but had a great preseason and scored on a second his second long TD bomb. Cams got the cannon to get it down field, and the Panthers aren't exactly stacked at WR talent.

 If I had a nickel for everytime someone sez, I wish I was in your league= :moneybag: :moneybag:

Heath Miller may or may not be on the WW in redraft, probably not dynasty or keepers. Folks here need to differentiate the type of league they're when posting in the weekly WW thread :grad:

no mention of gronkowski, either
If Gronk is on the WW in your league, please invite me to that league next year.
if heath miller is on the ww in your league, plz invite me to that league next year
Gronk is owned in 99% of all Yahoo leagues... Miller is owned in 26%. I think there's a pretty fair gap in this scenario.

I discussed this above, these really should be titled "Week <X> Redraft Waiver Pickups". Very rarely are there "week to week" dynasty pickups. There's not really much of a reason to assume anything but redraft in these threads. People who say stuff like "If Ryan Broyles is available in your league I want to play in it" are ridiculous... he should be available in most 12 team leagues I'd say as of right now.

Not going to argue about your concept - but who is the worst guy on your roster right now? What's he likely to produce and how many starts will he likely get on your team? It maybe that the Lottto ticket may be better than a guy currently playing.

I have 18 man roster - and 2 spots tied up by Anderson & Harvin. So my 16th best palyer is Doug Baldwin - he will post pedestrian numbers and never start for me. So there is easily room to burn a spot on a lotto ticket

Shorts is king of the rubbish time yards. I expect they'll be in that mode a lot. Blackmon will only just draw the #1 CB on the other team off of him
Shorts targets will probably go down, but I'm guessing he will draw the #2 CB so he will likely convert more of the throws his way....so maybe a wash with Blackmon coming back.
