Week 5 Game Thread - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (1 Viewer)

wow... more controversy for Hocculi.

That was clearly a fumble to me.

(And I have more to gain by the Vikes keeping the ball... so I'm being objective)

I understand how Lions felt all those years with Barry. You know your RB is an absolute marvel however the inability to get the D to respect the pass kills you.
Hey, Minny coulda ponied up a 2nd for Rosenfels this offseason... :jawdrop: After yesterday, I sure wish the Vikings would have... He would have fit right in with this game....
if you do that, then you're saying you blew it with the 2nd for Jackson for a few years ago - GMs never admit mistakes . . .

You'd think someone with the league would whisper to Ed about getting the Saints at least ONE makeup. That AP fumble was the perfect opportunity for that.

How much does Ed have on the Vikes?

The one angle shows the ball move right before his knee touches.. yet his hand is still wrapped around it before it actually pops out.....
:jawdrop: Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. ;)
I don't see how you could call having two fingers on the ball "possession"... the fact that it was on the ground a fraction of a second later shows he didn't have "control" of the rock.

does this really have to be derailed into a refereeing thread???

NO has had a multitude of penalties and turnovers - they are fortunate to still be in the game notwithstanding the calls . . .

LOL at the announcers being baffled by the play calling. First time they've watched the Vikings under Childress?

If anyone questioned it, before it is official.. childress is the poster child for idiot. You have the potential to score a TD and your best player is on the sideline?? Someone please walk over and grab that clipboard out of his hand and smack him with it. TIA..

Bush on the field = Explosiveness

Like the fact that they are using him in the passing game so much. Minn. doesn't seem to have an answer for it.

Childress is just a terrible play caller. My gosh is this vanilla play calling. Coach Klein from the Waterboy calls a better game!

I stand by my comments of earlier. The Aints can have 2 more fumbles, 2 more Picks, and 10 more penalties. If AD isn't running the ball in the second half there is no way the Vikings will win this game.
Mark my words -even if they come out and return the kickoff. AD does not get 65 yards in the second half, NO wins this game.

AP will not have another big game all season until Minnesota can at least pretend they have a passing attack. Even with all of Peterson's great moves, and he's shown some tonight, he will not find running room since the defense completely sells out on the run.

By the way - since it seemed that no one was going to mention this, even Tirico and company - the return by Winfield was followed by an unsportsmanlike penalty for his celebration. Jumping on the goal posts a la Steve Smith is a penalty.

The Saints got a big return thanks to the Vikes' kickoff from their 15.

You are forgetting.. they still get to play the Lions twice this year.. :goodposting: :lmao:

Hack journalism by ESPN... trying to make a story about a missed face mask penality on Buff Ed's watch. That's udder crap... trying to seel some story.

Watch that face mask in real time... it was less than half a second. Hell, it's not even a second in slow motion.

Move on ESPN, find your story somewhere else.

[not a Vike or Saints fan, no money on the game, and minimal fantasy impact]
