Should Cee Dee Lamb suit up on Sunday, would anyone here have any hesitations to start him? I wouldn't want to start him and then have him leave the field after a quarter or less.

I've got other WRs waiting to take his place if need be. But if I can start him with confidence, I of course will.

If he's in for the Cowboys he's in my lineup. I don't see any value to Dallas trotting him out there as a decoy in a mid-season game and risking further injury since he's arguably the cornerstone of their franchise for the foreseeable future.

The Dallas passing offense, particularly with Dak, is humming right now as well.

Excellent points. Thanks.

WR Deebo Samuel

Spotted at practice Friday
Samuel (heel) was on the field for the initial portion of Friday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Advice: Samuel was deemed a non-participant in Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, so his presence at Friday's practice is a positive sign ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys especially after he played through the injury last week to the tune of 72 percent of the offensive snaps, though it remains to be seen how much work he'll get in. In any case, the Commanders' upcoming injury report will reveal the wideout's official participation level as well as his Week 7 game status.

Unsure if he'll play
Samuel (heel) said Friday that he isn't sure if he'll play Sunday at Dallas, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Advice: Samuel was spotted at practice Friday morning after sitting out the previous two days. That's a good sign, but his comments suggest the heel injury is still bothering him to the point that he may not be able to play through it the way he did in Weeks 5-6.

Expects to play

Lamb (ankle) said Thursday that he plans to play in Sunday's game against the Commanders without any snap limitations, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.

Lamb said he could've played last week at Carolina but would've been limited. He returned to practice this week, listed as limited Wednesday and Thursday, with the expectation that he'll partake again Friday in some capacity. It remains to be seen if the Cowboys agree with Lamb's optimism about his Week 7 status.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Swifts groin injury per Ben Johnson was not practice related(assuming he's inferring it happened in the game and not Swift celebrating his efforts from last Monday night), hopes he can play Sunday.

Marvin Harrison is practicing today and has shed the non-contact jersey. I believe the last stage to clear concussion protocol is a full practice and then get clearance from a nuero doc, and sounds like he's got a chance to accomplish the full practice today. In other words, he seems to have a legit shot at playing this week.

If Lamb is active he would be in my roster. Your other options just don't have his upside.

Marvin has been cleared to play

What do we think about the Bowers situation? Seems like he's not getting better at the expected rate and possibly going to practice to soon before properly healing. Almost seems like he has a more serious injury then whats being let on?

I'm thinking they keep him out so he'll have two weeks, with the bye next week, to heal. Just my hunch.

He's active for week 7! 🙌

Listing him as doubtful. Which doesn't sound good. Have Mayer ready if you can.

Agreed - but I think if there is even a limited practice after the bye week.....then the injury is more serious then being reported.

Atlanta Falcons sent WR Ray-Ray McCloud home for vague reasons.

Tori McElhaney
@tori_mcelhaney

Raheem Morris on the situation with Ray-Ray McCloud, who will be a healthy scratch for a second straight game: "I sent him home," head coach Raheem Morris said Friday. "An excused absence. We are working through some things that are private with the young man, and we will get those things figured out."Morris said the issue with McCloud is not related "at all" to the recent firing of former wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard."This is between Ray-Ray, the organization and us," Morris said. "... I wouldn't say it is a disciplinary thing. More a football thing with something we have to get straightened out."

From Russini's Saturday article, assuming this is some brain fart/error?

The bad news: The list of 49ers not coming back keeps growing. Nick Bosa and Fred Warner are both done for the year, while receivers Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall remain sidelined for another week. The 49ers expect Purdy and Pearsall to be ready in Week 8.
