Maybe I'm misunderstanding but 50/50's and H@H's have the same odds and the same payout. It's coded to have every format with the same win % pay the same.Yup. Odds and high payout percentages in relation to those odds. In 50/50s, youve got a 1 in 2 shot at money (even though the payout is low), and in H2H, odds go down a bit but payouts go up compared to 50/50s, and are better than tourneys which as you know pay out the top 10% or so. Myself, I like the cheap tourneys for the small risk and high payout potential. Of the 15 or so tourneys Ive played, Ive placed in 5 of them, none of which has paid less than 500% on the entry fee. Ive played very few 50/50s because 1.8x my money back just seems to low to bother with, even though its the smartest/safest bet, IMO. Id rather try to place in that top 10% for a 500%+ return on my money.Been playing on FD since last year but never really followed this thread until recently. I noticed that a lot of people seem to like 50/50's and H2H's which baffles me. Aside from the odds of course, which if you're playing mid & high stakes then I could see an argument made for that.Im just now starting to dabble in the 20 man leagues and H2H, so I cant comment on those just yet.
I think its just preference on what people feel comfortable risking. To me, Id rather play in a $1 or $2 tourney than a $5 or $10, because if I hit (even though odds are against me), the return is good enough without risking five or ten times the money, and I dont sweat it if I lose a bunch of games any given week. The other head-scratcher is entering a bunch of small leagues with small stakes, like dancingbones above (who I see a lot so I know he knows his shtuff...no offense man) $153 in 60 leagues this week?! That just seems like a lot of work for no reason. Am I missing something? I wager similar amounts each week, maybe a little more but much fewer contests. 9 this week to be exact. Do you guys know something I don't know?
Did the same thing only I traded out DT for Wayne, and then traded out Vick Ballard for Chris Johnson and to cover the cost, I dropped Peyton Manning for Andrew Luck. I finished 50th in the free roll, 19 points behind the winnerStarted DT and Decker in most leagues, then at the last minute started Wayne over Decker in 80% of those leagues.MISTAKE.
Depends on the size of H2H you play. 2 person, yes its the same. 3 person and odds go down, payout goes up. In a $5 3-man H2H you can win $13. A 5-man $5 game pays $22.Maybe I'm misunderstanding but 50/50's and H@H's have the same odds and the same payout. It's coded to have every format with the same win % pay the same.Yup. Weeks 8-12, Fantasy Pro's will have a FanDuel game (week 8 only freeroll). In each, the top five will get an entry into the week 13 contest. Only the 25 who won a final ticket will be allowed to participate. The prize pool for the week 13 contest will be $5,000, compared to the $1,000 in weeks 8-12. Not sure the prize structure for week 13, but thanks to Dodds column, I finished 5th this week! Can someone tell me what the final ticket is in the free roll?Top five spots win money + final ticket.

I'm not a big player, usually the amount of leagues that I'm in is determined by the number of lineups that I can come up with that I feel very comfortable with. Pretty standard with everyone I'm sure. Each lineup in multi-$ level 50/50's, 3's and 5's. Nothing big to this point, doubling my money through 4 weeks of playing...just enough to keep me going week to week. These leagues, FanDuel or otherwise, really are a great way to keep the fantasy blood pumping when you want more than what your local bar league can offerThree weeks of playing 50/50's in the books for me.Started out rough going 0/4 I believe. I went more "all in" (Matt Ryan bust week) and have not done that since.Last week, 4/5.This week, 3/3.
End results for week #8:Went 23/38 on my 50/50s, including 12/14 on my $5 50/50sWent 3/26 on my tourneysNet result = +$11.40 on the week.Playing for peanuts, but having fun nonetheless.Have $19 out on 8 contests for Primetime, mostly 50/50s. Will probably make more on that lineup that all the others combined.Unless I'm unable to restrain myself from making a few more clicks, here's what week 8 will look like for me @ Fanduel (excluding Primetime):64 contests/40 lineups$153 wagered ($112 in 50/50s & $41 in tourneys)QB: P.Manning(13), B. Roth(10), RG3 (8), Brees(7), Ryan(1), Eli(1)RB: McGahee(26), Matthews(13), Lynch(11), Bush(10), McCoy(10), Forte(8), CJ(1)WR: Decker(23), Wayne(21), Marshall(16), Colston(16), Cobb(15), Thomas(10), Cruz(5), Harvin (4), White(2), Gordan(2), D. Jackson (2), Johnson(1), Jones(1), Brown(1)TE: Miller (19), Gonzo(13), Gronk(7), Witten(1)K: Hartley(8), Walsh(7), GZ(6), Prater (5), Tynes(4), Suisham(3), Dawson(3), Gould(2), Novak(1)DEF: SF(15), GB(7), ATL(6), CHI(5), OAK(4), CLE(2), SEA(1) Less contests & less $$ wagered than last week, but more lineups. Did much less "importing" this week. Here's hoping for some good scores this week!Edit: missing a wideout somewhere, but you get the picture!
Nicely done! $300 plus a chance for more - not bad for $0 investment.Thank you for your reply.
