Week 8 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

Matt Ryan got sacked and looks to be hurting. He's still playing though. Not sure where he's hurt...ribs or back maybe.

Favre on bench with doctors. Held wrist, back, and limping when he left field.

On an interception but I think he will probably return on next series.

What happened to Harris

2-2 KC17 (11:14) J.Charles right guard to KC 25 for 8 yards (K.Rhodes, D.Harris). NYJ-D.Harris was injured during the play.

It was a fake FG, I don't think Warner's job has been taken over by a punter, yet.

Favre definitely hurt his throwing arm early in the game (slammed it into Faneca while throwing). He keeps holding it and his throws are off target. After the last throw he was holding it against his chest.

LJ Smith got hit hard, tried to walk off field alone but couldn't. More than likely has a concussion and won't return.

NE-E.Hobbs was injured during the play.

first rodney... anyone watching this game that can tell me if the Pats D is officially done?

Any updates on Portis? Is the injury serious?
(Rotoworld) According to coach Jim Zorn, he yelled at Clinton Portis on the sidelines Sunday because he wasn't aware the running back was unavailable due to equipment problems.Analysis: Zorn described a very heated moment as "a sweet exchange of words" and Portis called it "nothing major." It's also worth noting that Portis spoke to reporters after the game, which is a sign that the injury he suffered late in the fourth quarter isn't serious. The game reports didn't mention the injury despite Portis being on the field for a long time. He was also able to walk on the sidelines. All signs point towards the injury not being too serious. Portis rushed for 126 yards on 24 carries.

Cowboys tight end Jason Witten was knocked out of Sunday's game because of a rib injury, though he's hopeful that it is not bad enough to keep him from missing a game.

"I took a shot. It doesn't feel good right now, obviously," Witten said after the Cowboys' 13-9 victory over Tampa Bay. "I'm hoping for the best and hopefully get back to it next week,"

After Witten was hurt at the end of the first quarter, it was announced that he had bruised ribs. But the four-time Pro Bowl tight end said after the game that he planned to get some tests to "find out what it is. I don't know."

With the Cowboys already playing without Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo (broken pinkie on throwing hand), Witten got hurt on one of the last two plays of the first quarter, either his 8-yard catch or blocking on a running play.

"I didn't feel it until the next play, so I don't know if it was during that next blocking play or it was during the catch," Witten said.

Teams trainers looked at him on the sideline before taking him into the locker room. X-rays were negative, and Witten returned to the sideline before halftime, though he went back into the locker room before the two-minute warning.

"I tried to doctor it up a little bit at halftime and come out, but just didn't have it in me," Witten said. "I've just got to fight through and hopefully get back to it next week."

:sigh:This guy is tough as nails so I believe it when he says it hurts. :lmao:

Jesse Chatman, RB, NYJs. Likely done for season, knee.

The Jets New York Jets appear to have lost reserve running back Jesse Chatman for the season with a left knee injury.

"I would say with Jesse, it doesn't look real good,'' Eric Mangini said today. "Odds are it's going to be season-ending.''
http://blogs.nypost.com/sports/jets/archiv...lose_chatm.htmlLook for them to sign someone soon.

David Harris, LB, NYJ. N/A. Hip, might be "soreness."
