Hey Guys,

Many of you have asked over the years about having a forum for just baseball talk. I'd held off because I just hate to fracture forums and I didn't want to split the Free For All in any way.

Over the last little bit, David and I have reconsidered and we're going to give this a try.

The "rules" will be pretty much the same here as they are on all of our boards.

#1. Keep it PG rated

#2. Be Excellent to One Another

That's pretty much it. And keep it on the topic of baseball.

I know this generates some stuff about Footballguys plan for World Domination and that we'll expand to baseball. As I said earlier on this - there is absolutely no plan to try anything related to baseball other than this forum for 2007.

Would baseball be something we consider for the future? Sure. The name of the company that makes Footballguys possible is called Sportsguys for a reason. And that reason is to keep options open and not paint ourselves into a corner. But at this point, it's nothing more than keeping options open. Lots of things would have to happen for us to ever do baseball, most notably finding the people to staff and lead the thing creating content and running it. I came to love fantasy sports by the way of baseball. That's how I cut my teeth. But its well documented here that I'm pretty focused on the NFL right now. So lots of things would have to happen if anything were to change. But I'm a never say never kind of guy. So for now, we're opening the forum for you baseball folks and we'll sort of see how it goes.

And thanks to our Memphis Foundry (Keith Overton) for setting things up. He's the MAN.

I really respect you guys listening to the customers, as we were. Though the boards aren't part of the pay service, we're obviously the year-round die hards, and support FBG's through and through. I didn't like the baseball offseason threads being merged into one, but this more than makes up for it, thanks so much and I tip my hat to you guys, well done, Daddy!

It's about damn time... been subscribing to Footballguys for awhile due to the great insight for football draft prep.

There really aren't any good communities dedicated to the analysis of fantasy baseball, ala footballguys for football... which is surprising, as it is as much as x20 as complicated as that other sport. Anything to get it set in the right direction is ok in my book.
