Still try and figure out who budget Gilbert Godfrey is supposed to be and how he's supposed to take over late night.

Just me or did the commercials suck this year?
 
Almost all of the above, but voted for first 5.

I'd add this is what I term movie/show watching and book reading season.

I'm not going down his path, but end of football season is tough and every single year I do think of Hunter Thompson. I get what he was going through. I find it's easier to take things in stages. Don't think in terms of 7 months until football, think instead in terms of 2 weeks till combine, 4 weeks till FA, etc, etc.

Good to hear. Hunter was a big football fan. Is that how he dealt with football ending, or was he just musing about his life in general? (I was always a big Tom Wolfe guy rather than a Hunter S. Thompson guy. Not that you have to pick between the two -- they just looked at the world in different ways especially when it came to the sociopolitical.)

It’s funny to see some of the same actors show up to play different parts in different episodes (the perps, victims, witnesses, etc.). Dietrich was an imposter Priest they take in, in one early season episode.

Dietrich is one of those under the radar “greatest characters in a TV show”
 
As a Raiders fan, looking for new ways for the team to screw up. Luckily we don’t have to wait long with Carr’s Feb 15th deadline approaching.

I will hold out hope that Spring Football will do something tiny to fill the void before NFL summer camps start up. Was interesting to see multiple USFL teasers during the Super Bowl, even one with Howie Long and Mike Strahan in it…which maybe means a little more NFL juice behind it to perhaps become a proper feeding league for the NFL. interested to see where the XFL vs USFL balance might tilt in these early years.

nothing like NHL playoffs, so I’m totally down with catching as much of that as I can.

was toying with buying another dynasty team but have shown great restraint so far. If a group here starts, say, a FFPC Triflex league, I’m might be interested (hint hint). I’m just not interested in joining another league with complete randoms. Our SharkPool FFPC league is a blast and active because we “know” each other from the boards at least.

Besides that…prepping to send our oldest to college and planning for a big summer vacation before that. So, yeah, family stuff all the time.
 
Get ready for March Madness. Spring training is ramping up here in Florida. GO TORTUGAS! NFL Draft. XFL?...nah. USFL?...maybe.
Just realized that woman that's been in the other room the last5 1/2 months is my wife. She told me we have several vacations/cruises planned.
Lots to occupy my time until August drafts roll in.
 
Time to research baseball prospects for my baseball league where you can roster minor leaguers. I like that league more than all my dynasty football leagues combined. Also time to finalize my NFL prospects and underclassman for my DEVY leagues.
 
My dynasty leagues all shutdown until 1-2 weeks before the nfl draft. No point in sending trade offers as only a couple people even check the site during the next couple months.
 
Business end of the Premier League upon us.

Hopefully my team will not a suffer a humiliating relegation and instead win a trophy. Both are still possible, both could in fact be possible at the same time.
 
Combine is a long ways away, watching a lot of film and listening/reading/watching draft profiles

Also trying to learn more about combo routes, defensive fronts and coverage schemes so I can better identify what film guys are talking about
