x2.Playing Brown as a Flex
I checked with his agent, but his agent doesn't know who I am and doesn't return calls. He should sit two weeks. So, for realz- does anyone know Bradshaw's status? I know he was having some tests Monday but I didnt hear back any results. I have a few calls into some of my people within the organization but Im not hearing anything back..Losing bradhsaw would be bad for the giants. David Wilson could be real good for fantasy owners though...so, anyone have an update theyd like to share??
Two weeks?!?! you got a link or something? Many people running to WW to grab Wilson im sure. THat guy might win someone a ring!!I checked with his agent, but his agent doesn't know who I am and doesn't return calls. He should sit two weeks. So, for realz- does anyone know Bradshaw's status? Money doesn't mean he'll be the starter next year. Jacobs had been given a big contract and by the next season the Giants were asking him to restructure and eventually to take a pay cut. Bradshaw is guaranteed $2.5 million of his $3.75 million salary next year. So he's affordable and might end up as the backup. I think next off-season it could be an open competition for the starting RB job.barring anything seriously unforeseen AB will definitely be the man once again for the Giants. He recently signed a contract that made him a decent amount in guaranteed $$.
The Giants love Bradshaw. I don't know that he'll be the "starter", but I highly doubt he'll be a backup - if Wilson pans out it'll probably be a time share situation. Bradshaw's health is the biggest factor IMO.Money doesn't mean he'll be the starter next year. You're right, money doesnt mean he'll be the starter. His money owed (coupled with the fact that the Giants love him) does mean that he will be assured of at least a 50/50 split though, as the poster who I was answering, had asked. No chance, absolutely zero that Bradshaw ends up as a backup next year in my opinion. You could see a quasi- time share but no chance he wont get the rock a bunch next year.Money doesn't mean he'll be the starter next year. Agreed. There is not even any specutlating on Twitter at this point..........As a Giants fan, I can't find a damn thing on his MRI results....very weird in my opinion. Not sure what is going on behind the scenes. It's midday in New York, someone should know something by now....
It's Tuesday. That's usually the player's day off and often the day they go see the specialist. When we hear info from Coughlin will depend on when his press conference is Wednesday. If it's after practice then we'll know tomorrow. If the presser is before practice like it usually is, Coughlin usually says something like he hasn't spoken to the trainers yet and then we won't get word till Thursday.Agreed. I agree that they are dragging this out. However, Jacobs isn't "currently on the street". He wishes he was, but the 49ers suspended his ### for conduct detrimental to the team. Which makes you wonder if Jacobs knows something we don't know re: Bradshaw.Looks like they're dragging it out, no matter what the results are. Gamesmanship? They know the results but aren't telling anyone.Wonder if NY would consider bringing Jacobs back since he's currently on the street?
I agree that they probably know the results and its a bit of gamesmanship. Teams aren't allowed to withhold injury info, though Im sure 99% do.. Jacobs was suspended not cut so he's not exactly on the street. I believe he has file a grievance to be granted his outright release- in which case the Gmen would make some sense.Looks like they're dragging it out, no matter what the results are. Gamesmanship? SF suspended him.Don't think that means he's a free agent.Looks like they're dragging it out, no matter what the results are. Gamesmanship? They know the results but aren't telling anyone.Wonder if NY would consider bringing Jacobs back since he's currently on the street?
Was fearing something like this - probably the dreaded "GTD" or at least a very muddy outlook on his role this weekend. Bradshaw rarely practices during the week anyway so it's not like we will necessarily learn anything more by his participation in practice (or lack thereof) this week. We will all need to decide if the risk is worth the potential payoff against a very mediocre ATL rush D. I may just decide to play it safe by plugging in either LeShoure, Ballard, or DWill. I'll admit not very attractive options - but at least I know those guys will get meaningful touches. Bradshaw could very well start the game and be done by the end of the 1st quarter. From Rotoworld:Ahmad Bradshaw has been diagnosed with a sprained knee and is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons. It sounds like a Grade 1 sprain of a ligament, similar to the injury Robert Griffin III is working through right now. Bradshaw will not practice Wednesday, but coach Tom Coughlin declined to speculate any further than that. "I'm not going to rule him out of anything," he said while noting Bradshaw's toughness. If Bradshaw sits, explosive rookie David Wilson will be a borderline RB1 play while looking at 20 touches. If Bradshaw does gut it out on this balky knee and his chronically sore foot, we can safely expect a relatively even timeshare.
