What did we learn week one? (1 Viewer)

I think Leveon Bell and Moreno win some kind of award for settling preseason/offseason arguments about who would get what work share.

I'm going to go :wall: for listening to some of the Bell talk.

JStew is done before he ever got started. DWill is still the better runner. Giving him one more week and then cutting him. Will feel so good.

Until DWill goes down week three with an injury. The Panthers backfield is a fantasy mess. Stewart is the better pass catcher, Dwill gets more carries, and Tolbert gets the goal line work.

Antone Smith is a talented RB, everytime I watch tape of this guy he impresses me and is a big way waiting to happen. He must hate practice or just save his best for the real games to not be getting more touches from the Falcons staff.
I said in the game thread that while the Falcons look really good on offense they could be extremely explosive if they played Freeman and Smith more. Jackson and Jacquizz were outplayed by them IMO. I'd like to see Jackson used more as a pound the ball back in the 2nd half with a lead and get the other guys more touches early in games.

Yeah. Left him on my bench because I was scared of all the timeshare with Blount talk. Ouch.

Anyone saying the 49ers are still one of the top teams obviously didnt watch the game, they just saw the end score.

Romo and Murray marched up and down the field on that defense. Had it not been for Romo's horrible decision making, this game would have been really close. The defense didnt make any great plays on the ball, Romo threw it right to them and into triple coverage on two of three INT's.

The Cowboys defense is AWFUL and they still shut the 49ers completely out in the 2nd half.

What is Seattle going to do this team? Or even Arizona?

Agree. The QB that won it for the 49ers wasnt CK it was Romo.

It appears you are just ignorant to the current state of the Niners team since the team Seattle will play will look much different than the one that played yesterday. Getting Bowman, Smith and Dorsey back will be huge. Also most of their starters played little to no snaps in the pre-season. That coupled with a lot of rookies / second year guys playing on defense and the starting right side of the O-line getting Boone and Davis back they should only get better as the year goes on.

If they can get to the bye with just a few losses they will be just fine and one of the top teams in the league when it matters most. Kap looks improved and the offense should help carry the load until the defense gets healthy / more experience. And lol at the offense getting shutout the second half. That sounds like someone who only looked at the box score. They had the game in hand the entire second half. The refs did try desperately though to get Dallas back in the game.

Oh and no one cares if you march up and the down field if you can’t score. Dallas had 4 long drives with one ending in a FG and the other an int. The two TD's came late when it really didn't mattter much. Niners have always been a bend but not break defense. Seattle often plays that way as well. It's what good defenses do.

Bears are in serious trouble. Cutler is still Cutler (a shame for me since he's my starter by default); what, 3 o-linemen down already?; both Marshall & Jeffery gimpy w/ leg injuries.. They may not have 2 wins before their week 9 BYE.

Megatron is still a beast.
First time I have ever had a chance to own him and I have him in 2 of my 3 leagues. Pretty happy with the results so far. I always knew he was great, but this was fun.

Start everyone vs the Giants D
Giants D was pretty good against the run.
Yeah....not so sure that D belongs in the start everyone category. I think that D will give marginal O-lines a very hard time and is the reason the Giants aren't a legit contender for "worst in the league".

Secondary is vulnerable though for teams that can keep their QB upright long enough

I'll flip it and say Lions D could be top 5. At least startable. Maybe.

Just watching Detroit is fun, for some weird reason. Bummed I have no fantasy guys from that squad.

As far as what I learned from just watching highlights the next morning: Chris Johnson and Frank Gore (my top two RBs) aren't even the best RBs on their teams. Yikes.

eta* I had Mega two years ago and Bush and Bell last year. Just a good squad to watch. If they tighten up Stafford's mechanics, look the freak out.

If you are an Ellington owner, Dwyer is not plan B...
You didn't need to see Monday night's game to know that. The backfield behind Ellington sucks. It's one of the major reasons I grabbed Ellington in both my leagues. Now will he ever allow him to get completely healthy. :oldunsure:

I'm a JC owner and I'm worried.I'm a Toby Gerhart owner in both of my leagues. He's my #2 in both leagues. Looks like a mistake from what I saw today. They were up most of the game as well.I need to trade Matty Ice right away. I have him on my bench since Stafford was home against a soft G-Men D. Going to ask for a #2 RB in return(Foster,Doug Martin)
Why not keep a Ryan and trade Stafford?
Because Matty Ice's return value will be off the charts in my league. He scored 60 points in my league due to the 400/3TD/0 Turnover game.
umm what? 60 points is double what he got in a normal league... whaT do you score 10 point touchdowns?
