So you're thinking Mendy/Decker/Ridley for Witten/CJ?I currently dont have a TE (dropped Cook on a bye for Tebow) and the best WW options are Watson, Ballard, Dickson, HMiller, etc. Last week the Witten owner put him on the block for RBs or WRsI offered him DWill/Decker/Ridley for Witten/Manningham..if he declines, I might come back with something involving Witten that includes me trading Mendenhall (he has Redman and is a PIT homer) for CJ. Mendy's schedule is really juicy down the stretch, but I still think CJ is the more talented back and I really need a reliable TE.
I havent gotten to that point yet because my initial offer is still on the table, but yes, Id probably do that deal. I also made various other offers last week for CJ/Witten and he said he wasnt trading CJ.I dont think CJ owners will trade him unless theyre getting a legit RB in return. This leads me to ask myself.... does he have an injury not listed on the injury report?'jantoniosus said:I actually watched his game last week, and he came out looking great. Broke off a great run then followed that up with a series of 4-6 yard gains. Next thing I know he is hesitating in the backfield and the few more times that he made it to the second level, he would just about sit down on the field to avoid contact. His guaranteed part of the contract must have stipulations that he can't get hurt in the first year of the contract!! Luckily he is not my #1 RB so as long as I get 10-15 (in PPR) from him each week, I'm good.Do have an owner interested in a CJ/? for Jennings type of deal though.
He did quit and leave the game with "hamstring tightness". An all-around pathetic performance from CJ from the 2nd quarter on.Now Munchak has entered phase 2, quietly calling out CJ to the media. Phase 3 is chewing him out on the sidelines and benching him for a quarter or more. Phase 4 would be to tell him to fake an injury and sit the rest of the season out, which I predict happens around week 12.This leads me to ask myself.... does he have an injury not listed on the injury report?'jantoniosus said:I actually watched his game last week, and he came out looking great. Countered with McNabb, Benson and SeaBass and he accepted.Just got offered him for Ben and Benson.![]()
Thats just robbery IMO.The team I have CJ3 on I am just sitting on him. If he doesnt get going my team is not gonna win it all anyways. Unless someone wants to step up to the plate with a top 10rb.(not gonna happen)Countered with McNabb, Benson and SeaBass and he accepted.Just got offered him for Ben and Benson.![]()

I don't recall that hamstring tightness you speak of.Re-this thread-There were holes at times that he missed, other times (most often) it was pathetic and looked like an army chasing him down. Hall didn't play as often as I expected. He made an obvious difference-as any good FB would. The extra T made a difference too, naturally. You can almost see Munchak's commitment to the blocking while you're watching the game. He's going to improve their blocking or die trying. I also think it's about time to "call out" the great Bruce Matthews as an OL coach. Matthews is oh so special a person, but he deserves to take some flack here. That line is poor and he needs to light a fire. It's not just CJ.I've noticed CJ run almost run into defenders or linemen because it surprised him the holes closed up so quick. I've seen a ton of runs that no one could have done well on and started to wish he'd do a Barry-like move and try running to the opposite sideline. It's a mess.It looked better last week in spots. I don't doubt Matthews and Munchak are all over their blocking during the bye and it sure makes me curious how they'll perform after. He did quit and leave the game with "hamstring tightness". I never in a million years thought I would type this, but in redraft id take SJAX. In dynasty its not as clear. I am telling you guys that CJ has been coasting on his fat contract. I think he needs to be benched for a game or 2. maybe that will light a fire under his arsee.. so disappointing. and I was a proponent of them paying him this offseason. Is there any expectation for CJ to put it together out of the bye week? Or is he really going to rest on his fat new contract all season? Who's the better underperforming back to target right now if you're trying to add a guy before your league's trade deadline, CJ or SJax?
What kind of gum? If it's juicy fruit...I'd take the gum. I don't know if I've ever seen a faster fall from grace from someone just entering the prime of his career and not injured. What a turd.'RhymesMcJuice said:A suppose he's worth a pack of gum at this point.
Time to make this guy what he should be. A 3rd down change of pace RB.But hey, HE GOT PAID!
Lamont Jordan, 2006. I drafted him @ #5 as wellFollowed up on a 1000 yd, 70 catch 2005 with a 434 yd, 10 catch year under Art Shell's anemic tutelage.Luckily he was hurt by week 12 so I could cut bait and not agonize over a potential bounce back. But the damage was done to my teamis there any historical example of an epic fail like this?Furthermore, let's say he finishes out the year with... say 800-900 combined yards and 4-5 TD's but no burst, no spark... where do you rank him moving forward for '12?
3rd round valueAt this point you wonder about next year. One of two things, either someone gets him really late and it's a steal.. Or someone takes him early like this is an anomaly and regrets it.
I wouldnt do that if I were youConsidering offering Bradshaw for him.. NYG tough playoff schedule and CJ's next 3 games aren't too bad.. and I'm sitting at .500 so... I'm wondering if he'd take Bradshaw straight up.
Fisher benched Johnson last year early in the season for some drives because he would not hit the hole. He turned it around last year, but the guy likes to dance and is no power runner.is there any historical example of an epic fail like this?Furthermore, let's say he finishes out the year with... say 800-900 combined yards and 4-5 TD's but no burst, no spark... where do you rank him moving forward for '12?
